Same story. Rashford vs Martial. At least this is a good thing

Consensus is pretty much 50-50. Only very few of them see both of Rash/Martial starting. I would like to see both of them starting, but I don't think it will happen.

Judging from their performance, I have no idea who will be starting, and I don't think anyone can have very high conviction. Performance wise, they both definitely deserve to start, just the tactic/system doesn't allow them. The caf will melt-up if Jose plays both of them. :D
Rashford started two in a row after fantastic Martial cameos, so Martial should get the same opportunity. Martial surely to start.

My view is that based on performance they both deserve to start. If Jose has to choose one of them, he could make the decision base on their different attacking style, with Rashford can attack the space constantly with pace and Martial can dribble or do some tricky move around the box.

I'd start them both with Rashford on the right. Don't think both Mata & Mkhi are needed and Rashford can put a decent ball in from out wide which is something we've been lacking a bit recently.

would start Martial only because Rashford has been on international duty
For that to be an important criteria, I think Rashford would have to start the next England game. Even so, he would have 5 days to recover.

Confidence is high. Let's build up the momentum and winning mentality.

Continue to expect solid performance at the back, midfield and attack. Sadly I can't see us do well in our width provided by fullbacks again.

Lukaku score a bucket load, Rashford on a high! Martial had a erm...rest!

Everything is rosey in the Manchester garden at the moment. Stoke are fecked!

The last time Man Utd won away at Stoke, Sir Alex Ferguson was the United manager.
Whenever I think of Stoke away, I always remember the Chicha reverse header goal. Stoke away used to be tough because they were a physical and intimidating team. But I don't think that's the case anymore. If we take our chances, we'll win.

Surely we're more physical than them now? Bailey, Jones, Valencia, Matic, Pogba, Lukaku are all machines.

A tight 1-0 win. Stoke were good against Arsenal, but Arsenal we're poor

Everyone seems to be fit, so I don't see much change from the first few games. The same 15 players have been used (de Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Blind; Matic, Pogba; Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Lukaku; Fellaini, Herrera, Lingard, Martial) across each game, so I very much expect the 14 players used on Saturday to be pooled from them. The only arguments are maybe bringing in Darmian, but I'd rather just stick with the same back four for as long as possible for continuity. We play Basel a few days later, so there will definitely be a few more changes for that game. I'm mostly expecting this I think:

    de Gea
    Valencia Bailly Jones Blind
    Fellaini Matic Pogba
    Mkhitaryan Lukaku Martial
    ---
Romero; Smalling, Darmian; Herrera, Lingard, Mata; Rashford

Smalling and Lindelof are forced changes for Basel on the Tuesday and I think we may see Herrera play a bigger part in that game. It might be a chance to give Darmian minutes as well, seeing as changing the centrebacks means the rhythm of the team is changed anyway. Sneaking suspicion Lingard might start at Stoke too, but honestly I'd rather he didn't. He'll definitely at least come off the bench in one of these two games though.

Expect it to be our toughest game yet and I won't lose my shit if we draw. It's one of those games where historically you probably expect to be held most of the time. We've had a great start so hopefully we can continue this run.

Except Martial and Valencia, the rest of the team will be as it is. Valencia will be coming back only tomorrow and will be the last to return. He is also the only one to travel that far. Darmian has played two games for Italy and has been pretty good. So he might start ahead of him. Between Martial and Rashford, you never know who Jose will pick. I'm sticking with Martial for now.

    De Gea
    Darmian Bailly Jones Blind
    Matic Pogba
    Mata Mkhi Martial
    Lukaku

Hope we batter them! Can't stand them, their fans and sadly Hughes(once a favourite of mine) is a complete arse these days

Funny thing is we used to beat them with a two goal margin when they were physical and ever since the changed their style we struggle against them

I just hope the international break hasn't stopped consistently and confidence. Im going with a hard 2-0 win.

This would be a big win if we can manage it. Absolutely fecking hate Stoke away. Just get the 3 points and get it out of the way.

would start Martial only because Rashford has been on international duty
I was thinking the same thing but my gut tells me it'll be Rashford. Seeing both would be good tho.

Was wondering if maybe Shaw might get a run out but I imagine he'll be eased back in during the cup games.

Rashford to start vs Stoke, and Martial vs Basel I think. Maybe Herrera to start as well.

would be great if both started on either flank of Lukaku

I reckon there is a possibility of that happening. Stoke I don't really see sitting back against us so maybe Jose will want to counter and we'll that 3 with Miki supplying the bullets sounds good to me.

I think Mourinho could play Herrera on Saturday.... Lineup:-

    ----------------- De Gea -------------------

    Valencia-------Jones---Bailly-------Blind

    ------------Herrera----------Matic---------

    Mkhitaryan-------- Pogba----------Rashford

    ------------------ Lukaku------------------

This could be the team Mourinho plays against Stoke, and I think it would be good enough to win 3-1......

Yes that would not be surprising, adding Herrera over Mata for a more combative midfield. I don't like Mkhi on the right, though. If we do it, would like to see both Rashford and Martial.

Same lineup as last match, with Herrera over Mata. I think that is the team that we should play for this match.

We just have to play our games. That's what matters the most. Don't worry too much about the physicality.

I think we will line-up like this:
    De Gea
    Valencia Jones Bailly Blind

    Herrera Matic
    Mikhi Pogba Martial

    Lukaku

Let Rashford rest. Could come in as sub. Predict a 1-3 win for us.

Us and Arsenal are the only 2 games Stoke seem to get up for. It won't be easy but with our confidence and resolute style recently I can see us sneaking away with a late scoring 2-0.
