I hate this kind of lose-lose situation, if we lose we'll be ridiculed and if we win we'll have no merit since we weren't supposed to be at this level anyway.
What? Lose lose my arse. No one is going to ridicule the club for winning the trophy.

I am not really sold off on the Pogba on left of a 4-2-3-1. Not that Rashford is in form, but I am not sure if that is Pogba will be that effective.

No. Finishing 2nd with a Europa cup is a good achievement.

No lose lose situation. You finish 3rd in your Champions league group you end up in the Europa league knock out competition, that's been the case for 22 seasons now with only 9 sides whom made their exits from the CL going on to win the EL. For the record Atletico Madrid the last team to do it in season 2017/18 and they have since built on that Europa league success to win the La Liga.

If United win on Wednesday I'll look at it as this trophy won a year later than it should have been won. I'd also be hopeful that winning this trophy will be a platform for further success as the league cup (1992,2006)and FA Cup (1990,2004) was.

    It's actually no lose.
Win it, and we rack a trophy up that can only spur us on.
Lose it, and we're already in the champions league.

The last time were were here and needed to win to qualify was more dangerous.

This one is a certain goalless draw, looking at the previous meetings…

Not registered I think. He is not a home grown player yet.
Take literally anyone else. People have been saying he's been forced into it all season. I think its just some stupid habit he's developed.

0-3 win for United, will be very comfortable. These guys leak goals and we already know how poor LL has been this season. I am obscenely confident in this one.

"David De Gea, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba are the only four players selected who were also in the matchday eighteen in Sweden four years ago."

Martial is fifth, but he did not travel.

This is it. It will be wonderful for us to win but it's a win that won't really string rival fans, Arsenal aside.

And if we lose, we are getting bantered bareback.

It's the traveling squad of 26. Matchday will be 23 since we are allowed 12 subs on the bench this covid year. So we'll probably take out 2 keepers and 1 other for the final squad. Or maybe 2 keepers on the bench if the other squad players are not feeling fit.

I'm sure he has 4 keepers with him to use for training etc before the final. Lots of people to practice shooting. Plus worst case scenario if one or two keepers get injured/sick.

And he already has 3 youngsters with him to a European Final. Bringing Hannibal that has barely played some minutes would not make too much sense at this point. I'm sure he'll get chances in our pre-season.

Edit: As for having been forced to it earlier. Yeah due to covid restrictions our young players couldn't swap corona-bubbles on short notice if a spot opened up on the bench due to injuries. So it was better to bring extra keepers than nobody. Hannibal was supposed to have joined the first team bubble when the other youngsters did, but he got injuried so went back to the lower teams.

Greenwood our best RW and Rashford is our best LW. Both should start. Ole needs to put on his man management hat and convince Pogba his best #8 performance is needed to bring home the Europa League trophy.

This could be the cure for the Greenwood/Rashwood situation but wouldn't it stiffle Pogba's creative influence? I like your Sub line-up.
Of course it would stifle Pogba's creativity, but that's been the problem with playing him, Bruno, Cavani/Martial, and Rashford. Rashford's not great on the right, not much better in the middle, and Pogba is better in an attacking role. Ole is left with a huge conundrum. Frankly, I'd have McFred on, with Pogba up on the left and Rashy on the bench due to form. But he's an assist machine from the top left and a breakaway threat all the time. Pogba plays further back (i.e. usually doesn't drive all the way to the goal line), but doesn't defend consistently, either. Both play the front left well, but in very different ways. It's all very frustrating.

The big question is who plays LW, Rashford or Pogba. Rest of the team pretty much picks itself
If Pogba plays on the left then I'd start Greenwood on the right in current form. Being two-footed with a stronger left foot is a big deal for that position, and all of Rashford's goal contributions from the right have come from instances where he was given time to dally on the ball and set himself up for a specific shot or pass. He's not comfortable running at players or playing flowing football from the right.

Then Ole has the option to change things up once players start to tire by moving Pogba into midfield and putting Rashford on the left.

So Maguire makes the traveling squad, which means fuk all, and Martial sits his sorry ass back in Manchester.

We should sell both the french players as one thinks his influence is more important that his performances and the other is a pu$$y. I'll let you determine which is which.

no we should sell Pogba and fill our squad with players that suit the style of play and suit the manager with how he sets up the squad. Pogba just doesn't and it's not a knock on him. He isn't a left winger and he's not a #8 with Fred or Scott beside him and Bruno at the 10. Bruno plays like a second striker both offensively and defensively which means Pogba has to do a big job covering which isn't his strong suit.

All the talk is about Rice but for what he would cost, we could bring in young talents like Camavinga and Bissouma who could fit in that role next to Fred or Scott much more effectively.

Either that or you have to sell Fred and/or Scott and find a true dominant holding midfielder which is a very small list and a very difficult position to find. We lost that chance last summer when Partey went to Arsenal. Pogba has to have someone alongside him that can make up for his deficiencies defensively.

There's really only two position of concern: Bailly / Lindelof or Lindelof / Tunazebe and Greenwood /Rashford. I think Ole will pick the following team based on seniority with Greenwood coming on later in the second-half:

    De Gea
Wan Bissaka - Bailly - Lindelof - Shaw
    McTominay - Fred
    Rashford - Bruno - Pogba
    Cavani

Tuanzebe is right-footed so, no matter who we play, our central defence is unbalanced as is our forward line with Rashford on the right-hand side. Bailly will want to do well in this since he's playing his old club.

100%, sir. Correct team - picks itself!

Well definitely be ridiculed if we lose, and for sure won't be praised if we win. No won did when we won it with Mourinho nor when Chelsea won it. It's the big boys winning the toddlers tournament.
