Merson: Utd wont win next 2 games. City might have gone way ahead by derby
Chelsea will win next 8 games...

    ----------de Gea
    Valencia-Smalling-Rojo-Young
    -----------Matic
    -----Fellaini-----Pogba
    Mkhitaryan--Lukaku--Rashford

Something like that but maybe Herrera for Fellaini, Lindelof for Rojo (fitness?), and Martial/Mata for Mkhitaryan.

Mourhino manages players according to fatigue levels.
I know, and it's true he went with England. But he already played Southampton, CSKA (only 67') and Crystal Palace in a week.

Can't see us winning this one. A point will be OK.
If we have any desire to win the league, then a point against Watford will not "do". Jesus wept, I cant think of a top 4 or even top 6 team ever considering this logic to be acceptable!

Yes Watford are in great form and have a great manager but its a fixture we should be winning. A win is needed

Difficult line up to predict. Certain to start
    De Gea
    Valencia
    Smalling
    Matic
    Pogba
    Lukaku
The rest could come from Rojo, Rashford, Mata, Darmian and Herrera?

Sometimes, in the prediction, I stick to what I think Mourinho should do in a game, not what I think he will do. For instance, in this one, I don't trust Lindelöf facing Richarlison directly, I would put Darmian as rightcenterback in 3-4-1-2.

    I do that too. Annoying!

I think the pessimism is well founded. We struggled to beat Brighton at home and Watford play some good stuff. This will not be easy.

    Fellaini wasn't in the squad.

    Personally I think we'll get a 0-2 win.

Watford drew to Brighton at home as well. Lost to Stoke at home. Lost to Everton. They are a decent side but we shouldn't be that pessimistic.

A poor performance coupled with a defeat. Zero confidence in away games these days. Will be lucky to come away with a point.
Go on, call me a pessimist but that's my view. I will be delighted if we win but can't really see that happening. I welcome the prospective bashing

I believe we have a thread where there is a general consensus that we should not evaluate our performances based on the money spent. I don't remember when we actually played decent football away from home and came up with 3 points (CSKA I guess)

The problem is five other teams are all spending big also. Then the lesser teams are spending quite a bit more than the counterparts in other leagues. We are a victim of our own success, as in the dominance of United under Ferguson, has made it more competitive for us.

So far as I can tell, it would be the first time Mata would officially start for us in a 3 at the back formation. I went for Lingard instead.

Before the brighton game the general feeling was positive, fan's are generally not good at assessing how a game will go unless it is extremely obvious like a top team versus a bottom team. This could be a comfortable win for us, a tough win, a draw, a comfortable loss, it is difficult to predict.

That's all we need now, to start hunting for a mole:

    18:13 SAMUEL LUCKHURST
    No early team news...yet
There’s no hint of team news on the eve of tonight’s game so far after it emerged at the weekend Mourinho would be recalling players for the Brighton game. Mourinho hasn’t been happy with the recent team leaks and an error-laden one emerged before the Newcastle game as he tried to smoke out the ‘mole’. Something could still emerge before the 7pm team news announcement.

So watford play like barcelona that you expect them to beat us?

Crazy but I would like a scrappy, boring game in which we just manage to beat Watford 1-0 with a goal scored in the 89th minute through a deflection that comes off a deflection that comes off a deflection that came from the ball initially hitting the crossbar and then every journalist writes us off with the usual 'United in crisis', 'Mourinho for PSG', 'Martial and De Gea heading to Madrid in a stunning 350 million pounds deal', 'Shaw on collission course with United Manager', 'Dressing room crisis looming as United's fringe players get fed up with Mourinho', 'Pochetino beingg lined up to take over at Old Trafford, etc. Basically, our chances at the Emirates predicted to be non existent with the gunners becoming cock sure of taking us out and then....boom! We explode on Saturday.:drool:

Yes and they too have reaped the rewards of playing in this league. They are spending more than an equivalent team in France or Germany or Spain. Troy deeney is on 90k a week. He would not get that anywhere else.
