Why the feck are all 11 players strolling around the field at walking pace?

Somebody must be taking the piss, that was a complete joke

I don't think there was a lot that could be done about the goal, it was superb play.
The rest of the match, though, oh boy...
How about we close their players and not let them play around like they are fecking man city and we are newcastle.

No point in moaning, this is our level nowadays. It’s gonna be a long way back and it will need patience that nobody has anymore.

    I fear for the club.

None of the front 6 are good enough to start for United.

    It's Glazernominics.

They just don't want to put up the 300m+ that is needed to have a quality front 6.

Ole's a pussy. He's not even capable of making us look as good as West Ham.

No bollocks to even pick Fred over Matic or Pereira. Or Gomes over Mata.

Nothing other than Mata and Pereira coming off at HT is acceptable.

Awful game. Defence and the base of midfield not too bad, but the entire attack is woeful. As soon as it comes out of defence it’s two or three passes tops before it fizzles out. Looking at the bench I see very few options indeed. Don’t see us scoring twice. Very worrying.

I’ve honestly seen more effort in a testimonial. You can’t play Young mata and matic in the same team.

    Rashford is not a centreforward.
Effort isnt the problem. We've been good defensively too. Young and Matic have been fine.

Problem is that James and Rashford are our only 2 attacking players who can do anything and both have been shut down effortlessly. Pereira and Mata are useless, and not enough creativity behind them to change anything. Not a surprise when you see the lineup though.

42 minutes played was about to post on here, two bald men fighting over a comb. A minute later and about the only real bit of defending we had to do and we were awful even Maguire asleep. Its looking like a another away defeat to such an average West Ham team.

Expected performance, front 3 or 4 doing nothing to the game. To score 2 goals to win will be impossible with Rushford.

Ole has got us playing some of the worst most boring football I’ve seen from us in years.

This is what happens when you sign no decent attacking players.

West Ham's front 3 of Anderson, Haller and Yarmalenko are better than ours. Was the same story last season when we lost there and they had Arnautovic.
Sadly yeah, I think 2/3 of those would start for us today.

Also the state of Mata. Wouldn't even start for most premier League clubs, what's the point of being good on the ball if you have the physicality of a pierce of paper and pass backwards 99% of the time. The fact that we have him another 3 years boggles the mind

Can't see us getting a goal unless from a penalty to draw the game.

Feel sorry for Maguire and Bissaka but they made the choice. Hopefully long term it works out for them but the squad is so thin and tired overall.

I wasn’t expecting much from this season but was honestly expecting a little bit more than this. Onwards and upwards!

Going forward is like a kid's footy team, two pacey lads run off, and think they'll just get onto a punt.
It's just at this level, the ball has to be so perfect from the distance out it's played from.

Only chance we have is if that big donkey for them who has been booked gets sent off.

Absolute shite honestly. Need to wake the feck up and stop drifting through games. West Ham have been there for the taking and yet we're somehow losing.

Deserved for West Ham. We look utterly devoid of ideas again.

No one moving, no options, no ideas. A Keane said a few months back, bunch of bluffers in this team.

Rashford had the easiest chance of the game and he lost it in his stride whilst not even running full pace? He's the one who should be in the dangerous positions, for example, when Young sent in his freekick back post.

Beyond that, I'm genuinely stumped as to how at times we just seem to turn off completely.

Wan bissaka is playing fairly well defensively but its just in the final third that the team seem confused.

Why the feck was Matic backing that far off, stupid useless cnut
He does that all the time, because he knows that he does not have the agility needed to stay with the player if he goes past. That just creates a lot of problems for CBs, when he starts moving in their areas.

I wish Neville would be consistent. Before they scored it was the ‘bother teams are wank’ narrative. Now we have been shit all half and West Ham much the better team.
if you listened to what he actually said was that we were lethargic for the 20 mins prior to their goal. and he was right

How do you go from high pressing fastish football from when OGS took the team from last season to this? Just how? And don't mention "new manager syndrom" because that is crap.

Wow, this is no different than the managers before it, sat here bored to tears watching boring football. I know he has players injured but why not have taken a few more risks with his selection?

We need to make some changes, but I don't know who from the bench can make a difference.

I've literally no clue as to what Ole's trying to do here.

He's obviously not teaching the players how to move when we're in possession of the ball. Yet he's playing Pereira and Mata, who presumably are there to find space in behind, which requires movement, which he's not trying to introduce into the team.
If he's trying to "break down a team", why does it seem like we only have a clue when we're on the counter? And if he's looking to counter, why are Pereira and Mata in the team? The selection just doesn't make any sense. It's like City wanting to play Tiki-Taka and then sticking Fellaini and Lukaku in the team.

Pick a style and fecking go with it. If you want to counter, play Chong. I don't care if he's not ready, at least he fits that style. Now we're playing with two slow, static passers and two non-passing, non-interchanging runners, and no dynamism in midfield since McTominay hasn't been able to replicate his Leicester performance.

Positives - lindelof and AWB have been solid.

Negatives- almost everything else. First 20 mins we actually controlled the game pretty well but didn’t create anything. Then it all went to pot.

Rashford looks injured or just knackered. So much for this fitness malarkey over the summer .
