Would love to see McNeill or Hugill on the bench for this. If we can somehow get a big lead would throw one of them on.

Does anyone else look at the Wolves fixture and get that “urgh should I bother” feeling?

These games are never enjoyable. And they always game raise against United.

Yes, and considering the game raising that still goes on against us even after 10 years of not being at the top I foresee a gargantuan attempt by Wolves.

Look at Villa’s application and effort against Liverpool vs that against us a few weeks ago. It’s pretty much foregone conclusion that Wolves will have the game of their lives against us on the 31st.

Must admit, not looking forward to this game. Has a 0-0 or a 1-0 wolves written all over it. Hopefully I’m wrong and we can turn it around against them with a decent win. We must keep winning to not only improve our chances of top 4 but to keep Liverpool and Chelsea out of it. Liverpool and Chelsea missing top 4 will help us massively next season with transfer targets as we’d be able to offer CL football.

Would take 0-1 right now as I hate playing them. It's always boring and they either score on the break or bag a worldie from 25 yards. Helps that we got the 3-0 against Wolves and have Bournemouth at home next where I'd fancy us to win by 2 or more again. Players are coming back, we've looked in control with our first two games back and kept clean sheets, made chances etc. So, really should be 9 points from 9 and get that GD +6 or higher.

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Varane Maguire Shaw
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Should be a well balanced side, hopefully Dalot and Martinez are back for the first game in the new year. Would stick with Antony for now. Similar subs with Garnacho, Fred, Malacia, Elanga etc.

that right now is our strongest XI and they need to start the match assuming Dalot and Martinez made it back....if not then little choice but to play AWB and Harry

Martinez back in training so could start. We might be one player away from full strength which is very good news. Just hope we can get a couple of goals to the good and maybe sub on Maguire if either CB still isn't quite ready for 90 minutes.

Thankfully, we just have Wolves & Bournemouth before our Cup Games (Everton & Charlton) so there's opportunity to get minutes for those that need it soon anyway.

They’ve got a very good manager now and will be buoyant after that last minute winner against Everton. We should be beating these regardless though with the form we’re in. 2-1.

I'd take a scrappy 1-0 right now, they're under a new manager and will be full of confidence after winning their last game in the last minute.

This is probably the only game between now and the City game where we should play our strongest XI, the following games against Bournmouth, Everton (FA Cup) and Charlton (League Cup) we need to be rotating from game to game to keep players fresh

Feel like half our games in a season are against New Manager Bounce FC.

We really should ignore that one. We had the anchor around our neck that was Ronaldo, play 90 minutes We played them 4 days later and beat them 4-2
Yeah remember that. Amazing how much one player stunted our play in defence and attack again and again (was also amazing how many refused to see or acknowledge it).

We've obviously carried poor performing players in the past with relative success, but this one insisted on demanding every ball and to be fair, his teammates insisted on trying to get the ball to him, so we could never even play well despite him, our performances always depended on his performances, which meant they were always poor and tepid.

Anyways, let's hope we build from last game's performance and end this year on a high.
Antony for instance, has done and can definitely do so much better than he did against Forest, so here's to hoping!

I know ETH always has some of our young talents on the bench, but he never uses them anyway.

Hopefully a small measure of revenge against Julen Lopetegui. His Sevilla side who's goalkeeper was MOTM and team scoring twice from three shots on target in that Europa league semi final in 2020 and i doubt either goal would be conceded had Shaw played instead of Williams.

The last few years I felt like our midfield could never control the game against Neves & Moutinno. This year feels different with our midfield so I’m hoping we win comfortably and boss them! Shaw back at LB and Martinez in hopefully.

Really surprising, this. One of those stats that are true but don't feel like it.
It certainly does feel true. I'd go further and say that if you told me we'd never beaten them, I'd possibly believe you. Horrible bastards.

Hi guys…. Not sure if you’ve heard but recently a 16 year old girl who was involved in a road accident and sadly passed away, she was a season ticket holder at Molineux and used to attend with her dad, her family are trying to get a minutes applause in the 16th minute going, would be great if any of you travelling would join in.

hope this is ok to post here and thank you in advance

Probably the performances that stick in the mind. Don't know how we beat them away last season, think it might have been Varanes debut but not sure.

It was indeed his debut. He played like a man possessed. No way we got away with 3 points there without him in that match.

So sad to hear that. I’m sure everyone going will applaud in the 16th minute. Things like this always unites fans. Football brings people together and I’m sure the crowd will grant her family’s wishes.

Hopefully they had that bounce at Everton. Look at Villa first game bounce against us, then nothing much since.
They beat Brighton away in their next league game after beating us. Then it was the World Cup break which is the last thing they would have wanted as it halted their momentum from those two huge opening league wins.

Right now, I'd take a shitty 0-1, just to wrestle that 4th spot from Spurs even if just for 24 hours. Just need to keep that momentum going.
I’d take anything to get 3 points. Don’t care about Spurs or anyone, I just want the 3 points buddy.

The boys will have to work extra hard to get the 3 points here. Wolves for some reason seem to be a very bogey team!

How did I not know they had Diego Costa? You just know he’s going to roll back the years and produce a master class

They also could have had 4 against Liverpool

6 weeks ago this would have been a walk in the park

Not now, They already looked a better team under Lopetegui
