  • Yet another season were, by the end, I'm dreading every match and just resigned to shit performances and results and looking forward to the end of it and at least a break from the recurring nightmare for a while. :( Can't see anything but...
  • I didn't say you used the term 'disallowed goal', I said you were classing it as that by bigging up a huge controversy. It didn't look like an inevitable goalscoring chance, so had the Bayern player not carried on and 'scored' after the whiste...
  • Madrid had a goal disallowed after 70 minutes when they were on their way out. And but for VAR would have had a perfectly legitimate winner wrongly ruled out as well. If the officials were trying to help Madrid, why rule out the first completely...
  • This confused me a lot at first, thinking it was a reference to the City Cup final but puzzled that that was much later in the month, surely? Soon found out what it alluded to but, as the lack of awareness of that upcoming final probably...
  • Atrocious. And the sad part is I fully expected it. Couldn't see anything but a poor performance and defeat. They managed to do even worse than I expected with a 4-0 loss, but absolutely nothing like the surprise of the Brentford defeat. With...
  • Maybe they're basing it on the fact that our injured players will be back at some point, and that we can buy players from other clubs and not just Palace? The current patched up team and inexperienced bench, with our current form, isn't a good...
  • Bit of a false way of looking at it. Most of those caps are won by players 30+ who are past their prime. Evans being rushed back and lacking match sharpness; Casemiro playing out of position at CB (meaning we have no real DM and will be wide open...
  • An injury race between him and Evans, probably, given neither should ideally be starting at this stage of their comebacks. :(
  • There is. European competition and an FA Cup final. We just sadly don't have the fit players to select to make any wins likely, so it feels as good as over in terms of how it's inevitably going to end.
  • :nervous: I presume your view is that a team like United can never use an injury crisis as an 'excuse'? Because this is a horrendous injury crisis, with players out of position, or being rushed back non-match fit, and a bunch of kids on the...
  • Don't think I've ever been less confident in terms of a match against this level of opponent. With so many players missing I just can't see anything but a poor performance and a defeat.
  • And I bet the eleven Palace put out is doubly more balanced and closer to their first XI. And I bet their bench isn't mostly full of academy kids with next to no experience of senior football. :(
  • Bertie Wooster replied to the thread Redcafe Snooker.
The most shit one for me is probably Reanne Evans. Who, as the only female pundit on the circuit, seems to pop up on all the channels. Certainly up / down there challenging with the worst anyway.
  • Thanks. I did have a feeling they were, but couldn't remember which I'd seen and can't really find out much about them online. It'll be interesting to see them if / when they do step up to the U18's.
  • What positions are they? I've seen one who I think was a CM.
