Never been a fan of Murphy at all. In fact, always quite disliked him. But I've never hated him to the levels of some on here.

Jones doing what he needed to do so far. Still obviously needs to win one of the next two frames as well to be back in the match at the interval. But at least he's competing now.
  • Tricky one. As you don't want to rush them back too early. On the other hand, it's good if they have a little bit of playing time ahead of the cup final so that they're not going into it lacking match fitness and sharpness. Of course, the way...
  • This is ludicrous. It got ludicrous a good few injuries ago, but I've run out of synonyms for it. No doubt the commentators will still keep talking about how "United are all over the place defensively" without any kind of reference to...

Yeah, I guess it's always a real possibility when you get upsets / underdog stories earlier in the tournament. Can sometimes lead to one sided SF's or Finals when the occasion proves too much for them.

Two British finalists in their early 30's (young for Snooker!) is at least a good message just as the game looks to be taking ever bigger steps towards the obvious move to Asia. It won't stop the inevitable, but at least it 'highlights' that...
  • That's good. We seem to be doing well at a lot of the levels (apart from U21's / first team). :)
  • F****** hell. It's going to be an eighth finish and no Europe at all. A new post-Fergie low. I understand the thinking about no Europe in terms of helping a rebuild. And that's the only valid reason for me. But I don't go along with it. And...

Disappointing start from Jones. Was always a possibility that he'd buckle under the intense pressure. Hopefully he'll improve after the interval and get into the contest. It'll be interesting next season to see if Jak Jones can become more...
  • We've got positions for two European comepetitions to play for. We've also got an FA Cup final to try to build some form and confidence for. Our season doesn't end when CL qualification isn't possible, regardless of the modern thinking. Wenger...

Nope. Not 'salty' at all. Other than the fact that he knocked out Judd! As I'd said earlier, I wanted him to beat Bingham. And as I added to my previous post, I'll be quite happy to see him complete the story by winning the final. Though as far...

He's been on the tour for over ten years in total, and reached the QF of the World Championship just last year. Of course Snooker fans knew of him! It's always a surprise when qualifiers reach the final, of course, so I doubt anyone would have...

Of course it is! That was the whole point of my post, that it was a superficial dislike based on his likeness to the Stuart I know in real life. :) That said, I don't find him entertaining / likeable enough to overlook the similarity - but I'm...
