Got to be gone after this, he'll get the final but writing on the wall.

  4. United announce new stadium plans

Maybe, but that demand has to be sustained. For example Spurs claimed they still had a waiting list when they moved, but cost of living and some bad years after the move and it's all but gone. Yeah there maybe some hype after the buy out, but rising costs of everyday lift, the inevitable...

Or you build for expected demand, bake into those plans what and how a future expansion phase can be achieved, and then asses demand/feasibility/cost/benefit in future. You don't just build for an extra 120-150 because the demand maybe there in future.
  6. United announce new stadium plans

I lived in Stratford and Hackney Wick.. Both East and West side of the Olympic park. He headed up the bid, and the Olympic and a large part of that was the regeneration of the area before, during and after the Olympics and the park was built...
  7. United announce new stadium plans

Don't think anybody knows the source of funding yet, but ineos have a history of getting funding for big projects. Can get a loan secured against future revenue, if the wider redevelopment includes hotels, housing, retail, office, events etc then there would be plenty of partners. So future...

Can still call it Old Trafford as it's still within the area. The stadium is named after the area it's in, so no need to change it. If not, Trafford Park, Trafford Wharfside to go alongside the wider redevelopment of the area.

I'm pretty sure if Fury beats Uysk there is no rematch (thanks to Fury and Warren doing anything they can to duck the fight) so he'll go straight to AJ. Although i suspect Fury will give Uysk a rematch if it means ducking Joshua again.
  10. The RedCafe Boxing Thread

Obvious Hearn is doing whatever he can to get the Fury v Joshua fight and not give Fury an excuse to duck AJ (like he has in the past) The original plan was probably go out and dominate Wilder, but with Wilder losing vs Parker and Francis giving Fury a good run, the plan changed.

Government may have something to say and force hand especially with "levelling up". At the moment some national games are played away from Wembley, so could end up having split between OT and Wembley for more games. Maybe League Cup being at OT and FA cup at Wembley. Could go back to the old way...
  12. New Stadium or Revamp Old Trafford

I've live next to West Hams ground, it's subsidised by the council heavily even now. They don't pay for policing, energy, water and other things.
  13. New Stadium or Revamp Old Trafford

I think when he said "Wembley" of the North, i think he means a large capacity stadium that can serve as an area for finals/national games etc. Not a copy and paste of Wembley... Some of the journo's have said that they want a single tier, similar to what Spurs/Dortmund have.
  14. New Stadium or Revamp Old Trafford

The regeneration around Wembley since the new stadium was built is great, so yes. As Ratcliffe says, there is a lack of investment in the North.
