I've been there. Knowing transgender women in real life, not just read about them online, changed my mindset without any effort, it just happened naturally and now I see them as women, not to be nice but because it just happens.

In a way it has to be vague by definition, as constructs change over time and even depending on the place. It's impossible to say "a woman is this or that" because there will always be women who aren't that. Then what?
