Could be possible that we thought we would have offloaded more players from the team by now and raised enough for Sancho but having not happened and looking only like Smalling leaving I wouldn't be against the idea of using some of the Sancho money to strength other areas like LB and CB.

I think the smart thing to do is go cheap on the defense like with Alderweireld and Focus on other more important areas such as RB,CM and RW. That should we enough to get us top 4 and from there rebuild again. Throwing money at the situation like we always do isn't going to work.
