  • Last ever question on bodybuilding, how much muscle can a beginner build in a year?
Ive read many contradictory reports not sure what to believe.

It's not too bad. You said you've been trying to lose weight, am I correct? So, that's what has probably held you back a bit. Also, your workouts may not have been optimal when you first started. I know you aren't ignoring because you have posted here - it would add a discussion element to the thread. But I'm sure if you posted what you wrote below then other people won't ruin it.

I guess its because for the first 5 and a half months I did the regular bro split but I dont regret it because I dont think i wouldve stuck to a program as demanding as the 5x5 when i just started lol.

Chris jones got back to me he said Its better to go on a cut if youre over 15 bf which i am atm and said 10-20 pounds depending on some variables is what is considered normal. Ill be happy if i can add 2.5 by the end of the year.
I can add more to my deadlifts but I injured my lower back a month ago which set me back thats why i said im focusing more on form now for my squats.
Ive also sent my results so far Chris Jones from youtube and he said everything is fine but he advised me on going on a cut now so im planning on doing that.
    Thanks for the advice R2R
This week I just did stiff leg deadlifts and lunges on the extra day. I also think Im starting to get the form right for squats now once it gets as taxing as you mentioned Ill stop working on hamstring on the extra day.
My 2nd sentence wasnt aimed at you its just aimed at the others who like to gang up and jump on the bandwagon.
