Just to be clear here, I'm not arguing that Maguire is a superior CB to Koulibaly, but I think it's a little more complicated than "just get this better player instead". At 28 Koulibaly is 2 years older than Maguire, he's probably desperate to play in the Champions League - which we can't offer...

I honestly didn't think Rooney was absolutely terrible considering he's not being played to his strengths or in his preferred position. I certainly wouldn't argue that it was a good performance - it wasn't, but he's not the demon the media make him out to be. I thought Gerrard had a quiet game...
