We should practice playing in triangles more like Mancity does. So many times there was an opportunity to play in a triangle between AWB, Dan and Lingard but we were bit lost and gave the ball away. Same thing with Rashford, Shaw, Lingard/Scott

Decent half. Deserved lead. Backline has been great (except Lindelöf who has been a bit shaky). Mixed performances from the midfield and very good from Rashford and Martial.

I really wish we could pass the ball a bit better. So many needless mistakes. Of course you can lose the ball attempting a through pass but it’s the needless loses that really irritate.

But playing Pogba as the deepest midfielder is just asking for trouble. He lacks the awareness and simplicity to his game for that role.

Ole & Co have clearly done their homework. Wolves have been nullified perfectly so far.

James looking as everyone should expect, bags of pace but a very raw player.

Lingard keeps drifting right and feels almost like he's hiding at times, it's leaving gaps in the middle

Lindelof, Pogba with some loose passing at times.

However, completely dominant, it's nice to see us actually pressuring and harrying them instead of standing off them, James pace makes for great recoveries and AWB is a god, nothing gets past this guy.

Midfield just needs a massive upgrade.

    Good first half.

Lingard missing, and all our set plays have been shite, so sub him for Andreas

Think James should come off for Greenwood too, can see him getting sent off
Sorry but Jesse has been pressing well, chased down the ball, made good interceptions and put lots of effort in.

I don’t know where we finish the season, but if we keep playing with this intent, movement and speed we’ll get there eventually, great to see a United team playing so well regardless of the result.

AWB is a massive upgrade on every RB we’ve had since 07/08 Brown if not Neville.
Maguire and James are class too.
Lingard is working hard and contributing a lot defensively, but he’s the weakest link attacking wise.
If we’ll keep playing with Pogba in a midfield two Lingard will be an almost certain starter.

    Good, commanding half.

    Pros -

Martial and Rashford look good as a pair
Maguire is a Rolls Royce Defender
Wan Bissaka is a ball Hoover
De Gea might as well be sitting beside me

    Cons -

    Pogba hospital passes. Looks frustrated
    Not much creativity
    Dan James just seems fast?
Jesse Lingard might as well be sitting beside me....

James off for Greenwood. I’d say Lingard for Pereira too but I am cautious because Jesse is at least good at the press, regardless of how shit he is playing.

Have a word with yourself mate. He was involved in the build up of the goal, and his pressing has been immense.
If you say so mate. All i see is someone running around like a headless chicken, then is nowhere to be found in the final third when we need him to be.

Wolves playing at home and have totally parked the bus and hope they nick a goal on the break. That might be fine v Man City but v United who are still trying to find their way under Ole?

Happy with the half time lead, a controlling performance so far for United with some good pressing, right now i'll gladly take a 1-0 win. Martial finish kinda reminded me of that Giggs finish in the 1-1 v Juve in 1999. Martial should have scored earlier when Rashford set him up but other than that no chances but Wolves park the bus tactics are to blame for that.

One word on the ref Moss, he's too fat for Premier League football.

    First half observations:

    AWB is class
Harry has settled in very well
    Dan James looks promising
    Martial looks hungry
    Pog, Rash, McT, Shaw solid
Lindalof needs to improve passing accuracy
    Lingard meh
    De Gea bored?
Concerning given our last number 9

We have played well but we need to be more clinical with out dominance and create more. Lingard and James need to bring more quality on the ball

Very pleased by the level of control we have had tonight. The new backline has raised the level of the team so much, and the way we have closed Wolves when they bring the ball into the middle third has been very pleasing.

That is one of the most dominant half of football I've send us play away from home in a long while. Fingers crossed.

We are a little light on chances, but Martial had three good chances and scored 1. Should have got to the Rashford cross!

What's brilliant to see is that we seem to be the first to every ball when it's a 50:50. A very tough task against Wolves.

They can't live with the press. Not sure we can keep up that sort of tempo for a full season, given how quickly we ran out of steam last season, but it's good to see us not just sitting back and soaking it up, or trying to and usually failing.

We look a different team. Hell we look a different club.

Pressing and wanting the ball back like packs of wolves. A sight for sure eyes after years of standing off and watching average players look like world beaters because we give them time and space.

Now, we need a massive push in the next twenty to finish this game. Ruthlessness is needed.

David James was the worst player in our team, should be substituted.
He was good, his pace on the RW and the way he tracks back and keep their LB worried is useful, way better than Lingard (not that difficult tho).

We look great. Mata for Lingard please. Preferably leave Lingard in Wolves altogether. He brings nothing to us.
I know everyone hates lingard but he is doing a very good job getting back the ball from wolves or forcing them to give up posession. Trash with the ball though
