No thread on it, anybody else watched it?

Some pretty horrific stuff, but you wonder why nothing was done, why no body cared?

With regards to the girl who got peed on, didn't she herself and the parents got paid by R Kelly to claim it wasn't her in the video?

Where is it available to watch? I’ve seen a lot of celebs talking about it and so on and the John Legend stuff but sounds quite intresting especially if people are saying he’s worse than Harvey Weinstein yet nothing is being done about it.

Supposedly.

Apparently the minor in question is still on contact with R kelly today.

When R. Kelly was the main producer for Aaliyah's debut album, "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number", at her tender age of 15, amongst all the other rumours circulating, folks should've known then. Just saying.

People been known.

There was a tape of him peeing on someone. He got off due to (important) legal technicalities but still.

Helps when you have Ignition in your back pocket.

Most people knew. I was a kid and everyone was talking about it.

He wrote some good songs, he sings well so he gets to do what he wants. It's been almost 20 years since people were joking about him being a creepy feck who fecks with minors and he still kept on selling record.

Chris Brown has sold over 3 million records in the US alone since he beat Rihanna to a pulp.

Drake is publically grooming minor girls Woody Allen style.

One of the most famous UK bands ever got a Golden Globe for making a movie about a dead band member where they had a pedophile direct it.

People get paid, people in the business don't care. Consumers look the other way and focus on whay they like and deny the rest.

Ben Affleck touches a titty 15 years ago and is cruciated. That's Hollywood...

But it's fine because you can split the art from the artist. So it doesn't matter if somebody's a paedophile, woman beater and other weird feck as long as somebody makes nice music or movies. Then just be sure to constantly moan about social injusticies and crimes of all sort, while supporting the aforementioned scum.

I think we all did know but no one ever did anything about it sadly. It was never a secret what he was like

I saw yesterday that Cara Delevigne made a post on this condemning RKelly and there were people in the comments arguing with her calling her stupid because she said she wouldn’t want to listen to him anymore. Today she put up another post saying she lost 50k followers yesterday because of that post condemning RKelly.

Really he had 2 good songs in flying with out wings and ignition (remix) but what kind of people would support such a person over his music.

Dude, he has a lot more hits than that (It's 'I believe I can Fly' by the way). He was quite prolific.

But I agree, everyone should was their hands of him and any information that would help take him down should be given to authorities.

I don't really get this 'he's a paedophile/creep so people shouldn't like their movies/music anymore' thing to be honest. I loved his stuff before I knew he he was a fecked up person and I'm not going to unlove it now. It's baffling how no one has done anything about R.Kelly though he's stories have been going on for many years, how is he not in jail

What was the actual reason he got off? I think I zoned out during that part of the documentary but wasn’t it just because they couldn’t prove it was him in the video or something?

Tbh I get why people are saying this. When you find out the things he was doing you look at it differently and realise that he was most likely talking about underage girls in his songs.

The jury didn't buy the prosecution's argument, I think.

Also, the girl in the video didn't testify. Very likely that R Kelly paid her family off behind the scenes.

Edit: the foreman in the trial said there was reasonable doubt as to the identity of the people in the video.

Don't think it's fair to compare r Kelly and Chris Brown.

Don't think it's fair to compare r Kelly to anyone infact.

Well I'm not thinking of underage girls when I sing it. Anyways I get what you mean. I lost interest in him long ago after all the peeing stuff. Thing is his music had already started going to shit then

It's entirely plausible to not think of underage girls when listening to R Kelly songs. The same way I don't think about men when listening to Frank Ocean.

Plenty of people you can compare R. Kelly to however I wasn't comparing the two. I was mentioning a number of serious incidents that aren't career enders in Hollywood but would cost any normal person their job and probably make them a social outcast in their vicinity. All these people continued making more money.

You can do that about past work, sure, but they shouldn't continue to get financed and bankroll millions of dollars. Kevin Spacey still was a good actor who had iconic roles on TV and movies but he shouldn't get another job if he's such a creep.

He still makes great music to be fair, even if he's its not getting the same spotlight it did before because of how the industry works with aging stars. He's easily one of the most prolific songwriters and producers in the business.

It's fine because I was being sarcastic.

The moment those fecks are exposed as what they trully are, they should get ostracised to shit, it doesn't work like this though because our society is full of hypocriticial fecks.

Watching now. I mean the music industry is full of it. Pretty much every famous musician ever has had secret affairs with young girls. From the beetles to Elvis, bon Jovi etc. It's especially worse in rock and roll.
