So you sound knowledgeable, any good news?
I have no knowledge that isn't publicly available, unfortunately, I just happen to be an attorney that deals with these types of filings as part of my career so I try to share the knowledge I have to the extent it's helpful (since most people would never venture into the realm of US securities filings). If anything of interest pops up, I'll keep the board apprised. All I have for now is best guesses (which is what the Sun article is based upon). Reality is, the conversion of the Class Bs to Class As could have been for reasons other than a sale (though that's a logical conclusion).

Cheers, so no good news.

From my limited knowledge we need rid of these clowns who are profiteering from us every day.

I will take a new owner similar like Abramovich in a heartbeat.

What are the possibility of remaining glazers take a loan like they did last time and purchase this kevin guy's shares? Will that burden the club with more debt? Is that even possible? Im getting very paranoic probably due to the fact that i have no idea how this things work.

Nothing to stop them really, except the economic sense of it. It would cost 350M to do it, which would nearly double company debt, and a gain could only be realised if the company was ultimately sold. Which would point towards an exit strategy being in place. More likely it goes to an outside investor is my guess.

This is my fear but I think all the glazers know that the cash cow is starting to dry up and lumping another 350 million on top of that would kill the cow completely.

If true this is the first positive news in 14 years and hopfully the other 5 will quickly follow.

Well, no point everyone chipping in to buy stock with 1/10th the voting rights of Class B shares. They're guaranteeing the supporters can't take over. His class B shares are being converted to class A when they're sold! That way the new investor can't influence the company, screw up the Glazer master plan.

People keep saying this but there are much worse ownere out there.
I despair when I keep reading this. They bought a debt free club and lumbered us with hundreds of millions of their debt which is still close to £500m 15 years later. They have taken a billion out of the club since 2005. They have been the biggest disaster to hit this club since 58.

Worse owners out there? Quite possibly but that argument is nonsense. It's like saying im dirty so there is no point having a wash as I will only get dirty again. The point is there are far better owners out there too. People who don't see the club as a personal piggy bank.

Can't believe we have people even remotely defending these twats. 1 down and a few more to go. I'd dance on the guy's grave, twice, if given the chance.

They are worst among top 6 teams boards. It was a tough fight with Arsenal's but I think the eclipsed them finally!

I guess until we know the name of the prospective buyer, we cannot draw any conclusions.

If we get our expected spanking by Liverpool and only to pick up 4 or 5 points before our second spanking by city I can see some of the other glazers looking to cash in as they know just sacking the manager will not stop this ship from sinking.

Since 2005 this could be the shittest two months on the pitch but the best off it for the club overall.

The day those parasites and that chinless dickhead CEO go is the day we are Manchester United once more.

I can't wait.

Unfortunately, they're the only one's I've read who have cotton on to this. These filings happened sometime last week. I read it on Twitter but if it's not broadcast by a national newspaper, unfortunately it doesn't get the attention.

Here is the Express running with it if anyone doesn't want to click The Sun link.

According to the reports, any prospective buyer would want guarantees the other siblings won't sell their shares, as the share prices will go down further. So if they are to sell, it would be to one buyer I'm guessing.

Also, can the other siblings even buy Kevin's share?

When he was rubbished by Utd fans back in 03 (was it?) we didnt know how he would transform the football landscape. Its now a pity he hadnt have bought us back then. Look how he transformed Chelsea. I think they have won more trophies ince he took over than any other team in the Premiership

It's because he cares about the football club, ruthless. Isn't happy with negative football when winning either.

We would all take an owner who will buy the league and other trophies over the doss we have.

We can talk about them spending money etc, but look at the infrastructure Chelsea have now. One of the best youth systems, a structure in place and successful with managerial changes too.

Apart from your last sentence, couldn't agree more. Ok they own the club, but it's a bit like buying a brand new house and renting it out for the revenue, but never fixing anything. Give the cracked drain pipe a lick of paint and put the rent up. Hopefully now the other 2 glazers who have no interest at all will sell up as long as it's not to the remaining glazers

As some knowledgable posters have posted on here this could mean a lot of things, but the logical thing is that he just wants to cash in on his ownership. I dont see any other of the Glazers buying up his shares; they have been diluting their equity share holding for quite awhile now. Silently.
If he sells I guess it will be on the NYSE.
This would take the Glazers holdings of United down to maybe 65 percent (Still controlling like 95 percents of the voting rights though); the rest being publically listed. We already have at least one American hedge fund in Baron Capital who owns like 30 percent of the NYSE listed shares last time I checked.
If they buy this also I would start to wonder; because its not like you buy shares in United for the dividend yield, which to the contrary to what people on the Caf repeats endlessly: criticising the Glazers for being "leeches"; they have not taken any significant money out of the club ever through dividends
If the Glazers holdings are diluted to 65 percentish it might also effect the dividend policy.
As of now Class As and Class Bs are treated equally dividend-wise. Not voting-wise of course.
What it does mean is that its not effective for the Glazers to take profit out of the club through dividends since they would be giving a way 35 percent to other shareholders.
If they want to cash in its much more effective just to convert to Class As and sell, somehow I guess thats what happening here.
We could very well see a change in dividend policy as well, but that would affect the share value on NYSE:
Guess we will see.

Any real journalist reporting the same somewhere (non tabloid I mean)? I hate to get my hopes up.
