We aren't going anywhere with this guy in charge of the football matters. He should step back and let someone who has some knowledge about football manage the transfers and football end of things. A DOF that is well known and respected around europe.

Nobody is saying he's doing a Stella job, far from it, I just don't think any of his predecessors would have much better if at all than him without having SAF doing his magic on the playing side. He's just too easy a target.
To be fair, he wouldn’t have to do that much really. Find an experienced DoF and delegate football matters to someone who knows what they are doing.

There is greatness in knowing your own limitations and delegate - That’s exactly what Ferguson did.

Of course They're unpopular. They've never accomplished something praiseworthy in football.

If you ask a random Spanish football fan on the street "Who is Mike Ashley?" He would reply "no habla ingles" and run to avoid awkward conversation because He doesn't know who is Mikemashy or Wood bard. But They do seem like weird names that your grandma warned you about.

He came out and started talking. Is he feeling the pressure already to defend his strategy ?

I Read what he said. Too much BS in his quotes but it's obvious the pressure is starting to get to him.

I actually don’t think he is lying

That might actually be more worrying

Interview with Woodward in UWS this weekend, too. The club are on a charm offensive - the criticism might finally be getting to them.

Of course he isn't lying.

Taken at face value these comments of his are positive. Although it's true that managers often get sacked shortly after the people above them give a public vote of confidence.

I really hope so. There were also the denials of the shares being sold by Kevin Glazer yesterday

Why doesn't the dumb s**t just go and get Rangnick or Campos and just basque in the glory. He's had almost 7 years at this and failed.

I hope the fans keep the momentum going.

So years ago klopp backed away as we were too commercially driven, and lvg immediately said preseason tours are counter productive for preparation. But we are not commercially driven

The stock price is tanking as well, so that might have something to do with all of this.

The levels of incompetence shown in our footballing decisions since Woodward took control will become the standard text on how not to run a major sporting institution in the not too distant future.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
He'll be gone by the end of the year or we'll have a director of football.

The problem for him is that he's publically coming out and discussing these issues and notifying the whole world that he's not happy with the criticism coming his way. Welcome to being a CEO of a high pressure results driven organisation.

Watch former players, former managers etc now go in for the kill. You never ever admit that you're bleeding or hurting to the outside world.

The guy can't win, if he says nowt it's because he doesn't care, he puts on a United front he's being weak.

Any word from him on who signed-off on the final squad in the summer?

Or how the club expected to achieve the top four finish needed to save the Adidas money with last season's 6th placed squad minus all the players we let go with only three incomings?

How did the club expect to navigate a Europa League season with such a thin squad, when Manchester United players are so notoriously injury-prone?

Any word on why the club have only made ~£70m of club money available to the managers in each of the last two summer transfer windows outside of player sales?

Plenty more questions to be asked.
