there's that, too, I suppose.U.S. authorities disputed the family’s version of events, saying they were spotted via video surveillance “slowly and deliberately driving through a ditch onto Boundary Road in Lynden, Washington” between parallel roadways on the U.S. and Canadian sides. The roads are not connected by cross streets, and the only legal way to traverse between the countries is at staffed border stations throughout the region.
"We weren't allowed to smoke for two weeks either or have fizzy drinks."
Why?but seriously, what happens is you take a wrong turn and you end up on a road that only goes to the border crossing. If you try to turn around you'll be detained. If you didn't mean to go that way and aren't prepared to cross (passports, visas, etc.) you'll be detained.
What's with the photo infront of what I discern to be an airport christmas tree.I just had to look at their faces to know they were bullshitters

Because it's a one way road to the border and anyone turning around must be up to no good? There's a lot of visible and clear signage, so generally it shouldn't be missed but it does happen, mostly to tourists. Why?
I think they would probably be happy to be kicked out at the moment.Well... Britain has a unblemished track record when it comes to its immigration services. I mean, it’s not as if Britain tries to kick out the off spring of immigrants who have been born & raised in the UK... errr... oh wait...
Pot kettle black stones & glass houses!
Ah ok, missed the part that it is a one way. Reminds me of the 805 highway leading directly to Tijuana , there are big ass signs but I guess people still miss them.Because it's a one way road to the border and anyone turning around must be up to no good? Yep, exactly like the one you describe. The assumption by border guards is if you turn around you're guilty of something.Ah ok, missed the part that it is a one way. Reminds me of the 805 highway leading directly to Tijuana , there are big ass signs but I guess people still miss them.
To be honest, I’d follow the law whether I was a British tourist or not. Wouldn’t you?if i was a british tourist i would simply follow the law

It depends where you live. What's the name of that animal? Looks majestic.
The moose (North America) or elk (Eurasia),
Elk are different animals altogether.
The moose (North America) or elk (Eurasia), Alces alces, is a member of the New World deer subfamily and is the largest and heaviest extant species in the deer family.
Click on the link that you posted under the word moose in red.that's because europeans are stupid and named them wrong
The elk or wapiti (Cervus canadensis) is one of the largest species within the deer family, Cervidae, and one of the largest terrestrial mammals in North America and Northeast Asia. This animal should not be confused with the still larger moose
That's a moose. What's the name of that animal? Looks majestic.
I understand that. The thing pictured is a moose. Europeans call it an elk because of their bad brains but and elk is actually a different (smaller) animal. I've seen them both in person and the size difference is clear.Click on the link that you posted under the word moose in red.
Learn to speak English it an Elk.That's a moose.
We have a different animal we call elk, although it's sometimes known as a wapiti, which helps clarify the confusion for you European types.
