Started brightly then it all stopped. Thought Fred was good throughout but we really struggle to create anything. McT still letting people run off him and just watching or jogging back for dangerous situations. He’s needs to eradicate that side of his game.

James just seems to lack a bit of quality, terrible conditions but he always seems to have to control a ball then choose his direction instead of controlling it in to the direction he wants to go. Generally just a lack of quality through the squad. We already knew that I guess.

Poor for their goal and poor after it really.
The likes of Pereira, Fred etc have been praised this week but I think it’s fair to say they’re not consistently quality players.
We had a few decent chances but we can’t really say we deserved much more than we got imo.

You just get that feeling as soon as we lose a goal to the likes of Bournemouth we arent going to score. I never felt we were going to get back into it. Seen it so many times since fergie retired. Weak mentality at the club as a whole.

Jist reinforces the point that Ole has no idea how to set up a team attacking wise to open up closed defenses. He won't magically learn that now either, so either we bring in a top attacking coach to help him and see if that improves or we sack him to get a better choice as manager. I don't think the current set up will be able to turn this around unless we have a once in a generation player like Messi or Ronaldo who will turn defenses over all by themselves.

I’d love to say I’m surprised but I’m not. Beating Norwich who are the most naive team in the league, Belgrade with 0 shots on target and Chelsea, which was a good win for sure, only gave me a slight glimmer of hope, which totally evaporated today. It’ll be another 10 games for Ole to be sacked and another season down the drain.

Cut him loose now and get a manager who can get us top 4 seeing as Arsenal, Spurs are struggling.

Back to reality.

But we've struggled against teams setting up like this for as long as I can remember.

The only reason we beat Norwich is because they have a league one standard defence. Chelsea, let's be honest, was thanks to set pieces.

The paper over the cracks has torn unfortunately.

Special mention to Andreas who continues to start PL games and continues to be shockingly average in every way. If only he was half as good as he thinks he is with his terrible decision making and choosing to shoot when passing is the obvious option.
He can't be Brazilian.

Too many passes were either overhit or underhit, just like our crosses. Technically, we're not amazing with the ball and we were defensively poor for the goal that we conceded. I think the result is actually a fair reflection of where we are. Bournemouth narrowly beat us, but they could have scored 2 or 3 more.

There's a lot to work on. When your passing game is off, the best teams have that ability to dig in and get a goal from somewhere. They make their own luck. We seem to find it so difficult to create chances and even string a couple of passes together. Our midfielders and attackers were playing so far apart from each other that they weren't able to feed off each other and work their way around the Bournemouth defence. Far too many times, we just lofted the ball aimlessly forward and hoped that it fell to one of our players.

As soon as they got the goal i got a sinking that feeling we were never gonna pull this back. Appalling performance , such a bad start to the morning, hopefully the day has better in store.

I missed the first 20 mins. That said I don't think we were particularly poor. I would argue Bournemouth were worse.

However 2 things are clear to me:
1. Midfield including No.10 are woefully lacking in creativity.
2. This is not helped by a lack of coaching in attacking third.

Nothing we can do about it. This is our season. I bet you our final results will be W12 D13 L13. We will get 50 pts or so and end up 7-10th.

Started off well when there was space, but terrible end product and finishing, though

As soon as a team closes that space up behind the defence, we are completely useless. This game epitomised how bad Manchester United actually are. Can only play when there is space, but utterly clueless when it is closed up.
This is because we are 1-trick pony, counter-attack only. Unless the opposition enjoy ball possession, sloppy on ball possession, slow in defence. Well, we allowed Arsenal to equalise.

First time I ever predicted the correct starting line up and all the subs, and they had to ruin it by losing......crap.

Why are we in the 90th minute with McTominay pushing forward, and nobody is supporting? We need a goal, the players should be steaming forward yet they’re milling around the halfway line. This is not Ole’s fault!! My god are the players idiots? How good of a manger do we need to make players understand to attack when we’re losing with 5 minutes to go? Are they idiots?!?
isn't that down to the manager and tactics?
I personally thought that at least today the desire what there, but the talent is solely lacking.

Worst start for man utd in 33 years. Ole breaking more records.

If Chelsea and Leicester both win, it will be a 10 point gap already. Sack Ole, it has to happen now.

That was hard to take. Didn’t think we deserved to lose.

Fred really is atrocious though, seemed to single handedly feck up absolutely everything we did. Cannot believe we went into this season with that man as a first team footballer for our club. Losing Herrera killed us.

Whatever happened to once a red, always a red? You treacherous little swine.

As for the game: we looked good for about 25 minutes, creating chances and playing some lovely stuff, then it all went to shite. In a nutshell.

We just can’t break a team down who has a low block. Passing is too pedestrian and full backs aren’t offering enough of an outlet going forward.
Desperately need a number 10 as Andreas and Lingard don’t cut it.

Brandon Williams continues to impress every time I see him and surely he’s in line for a start next Sunday with Young being banned?

I’ve sort of accepted that this season is going to be a bit of a yo-yo season so in a strange way, I’m not too bothered today!

The usual.

We come with a bit of positive mood playing against a team that hasn’t won in 4 games and didn’t score a single goal in the last 3 games.
We start ok the first 15-20 minutes, fail to take advantage and they start playing with more belief.
Our throw ins and corners are dreadful.
We concede a soft goal.
They sit back and wait for the counter while we play with no urgency playing mostly sideways pass football.
We wouldn’t score in 12 hours of play.
Lindelof is too soft.
Late substitutions.

Like I said, the usual. It’s all too obvious from the first minute. It’s like watching the same game most weeks.

I support Man United, but I really dislike this team.

Our 3 number 10’s are Pereira , Lingard and Mata. I don’t need to add anymore

One step forward, two steps back. It's just so painful and frustrating to watch. Watch all the top teams and see all the chances they create for their forwards.

We put Rashford and Martial up top expect them to just produce moments of magic every game because we're completely incapable of working clear cut chances.

Martial had a poor game today, Rashford had moments of good play, but at what stage in the match was something created for them? No through balls, poor quality from the wings and just no creativity whatsoever.

Must be an absolute nightmare to play as a forward in this team, and must be a nightmare to be a defender as well. If we concede, we tend to lose. Puts a lot of pressure on the back 4.

Very easy for Bournemouth to defend against us like it is for most teams. If we don't get a set-piece or teams regularly leave space at the back we can't fashion anything.

Like purgatory we watch the team plodding around the pitch pretending to be professional footballers knowing full well what the outcome would be.

There is no escape from this misery, you put incompetent people in charge and incompetence is exactly what you get!

McTominay was just as bad as Fred. He gave away the ball constantly. Fred and McTominay are just not anywhere near the level we need.

His passing accuracy in the Premier League is now 79%. Awful.

Pereira has to be the worst excuse for a No.10 I've ever seen. I'd love to know why he was allowed to play for 60 minutes. He should have been hooked at half time or sooner.

Really surprised we beat Norwich and that Norwich played like they did.

It's really easy to set up against us and pick up 3 points.

There is no plan. And if you don’t have a plan you need a big bad box player. There is no big bad box player.

Flat as feck terrible dross.
Pereira isn't good enough and Lindelöf can do one. Hopefully OLE takes Young with him when he goes.
