Jose Mourinho | Spurs manager

At every club he's been at since 2002, Mourinho has won trophies. Will he win one at Spurs?

If he gets sacked here the only place he can realistically win trophies is at PSG. He can easily win the league and maybe have a go at UCL and get his mojo back.

PSG don't want to have anything to do with him, his bad press and his dull football.

I’m going to enjoy watching him burn Spurs down to the ground. I’m sad @GlastonSpur isn’t posting anymore. I’d love to hear how he’d spin this. I don’t like Spurs, they were a dirty team under Poch, even if they were pretty good. Most of all I’m just happy he isn’t here anymore, of course.

I am sure he will make a return once Spurs experience an uptick in form or win something.

Remember telling Spurs to get ready to never know peace while he's there. Controversy and dysfunction galore all because they thought they were too good to learn from history. I mean he only sank us less than a year ago

Was it worth sacking Poch for this?
Teams hire him out of desperation. When will they learn?

The best job for him now would be the national manager of the USA men's team. He can live in a country I'm sure he enjoys visiting and the Americans are probably desperate enough to hire him considering they missed out on WC2018.

Seeing all those pictures of our lads laughing and smiling in training, loving life. Then you have two Spurs players trying to fight each other after a half of godawful, boring football. Just José things. Needs a cartoon thunder cloud perpetually above his head. Congrats, Spurs. At least you’ll be entertaining off the pitch.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
He will go to Inter next. They still love him there.
Italy is the only country I can really see him in next if he is going to stay in club management. Most likely Inter because of the history (although Conte seems to be doing fairly well there), but also perhaps the likes of AC Milan, Roma or Napoli.

Otherwise it's a struggle to see where he fits. Us, Liverpool, City, Chelsea and Arsenal won't want him (surely Arsenal have some pride?). Bayern won't be interested. Dortmund are all about the youngsters so won't be interested. Barca would burn their stadium down before taking him. Real won't want him back. Juventus and PSG - nope. Atletico? Maybe, just maybe when Simeone finally leaves but there's no talk about that being on the cards.

Newcastle might be an option if/when the takeover happens. Maybe if he gets desperate he might be willing to 'step down' to someone like Wolves or Everton, or maybe even go back to Porto where it really started for him. I guess if Chesea have a bad run for a few seasons they might want him back for a third time, but that's years away if ever.

Unless Mourinho somehow manages to change things around massively at Spurs, it looks like it will have to be Italy or national team manager next.

It will never happen. He was available this summer and we choose his former player.

I don't see Rangnick hiring Mourinho as his replacement. A project with Rangnick is about nurturing young players, their project is the antithesis of Mourinho's management.

It's crap speculating that he'd do well at PSG. Only if he never had to play modern tactically nuanced opposition.

Conte is the closest thing to Mourinho when Mourinho was still good. That’s not a job available for the foreseeable.

He’ll have to dip back into Portuguese football at this rate.

Who do we think will be the next big player Mou takes a battle with, sooner or later? In RM it was the whole squad with the likes of Ramos and Ronaldo, in Chelsea it was Hazard and Pogba got that treatment at us. He’s already breaking N’dombele down, but he’s not a big enough fish for Mourinho to feel tough, I think. Maybe Kane or Son? Can’t wait for the All or nothing-documentary.

Son is already starting to look fed up. Never seen him just give up and look dispondent like he did last night.

Attacking players just don't enjoy camping on the edge of your own box and trying to counter attack, it's boring as hell and tiresome too!

No wonder our players always looked knackered having to run 60 yards every time we win the ball back, it's so counter productive.

Everton had Spurs in their own half for practically the last 30 minutes which is crazy really.

It'll probably be Son or Kane, both of who have been a shadow of themselves under the clueless one. He'll start digging the knife in soon enough.

It's too soon. But if another 4+ seasons pass and you're at a point where you are struggling, it might happen. Although I guess by that point he'll have either failed again which might take him out of contention at all, or turned things around for himself which might make him the option.

Didn't realise Rangnick was basically official for Milan now. Agreed that as long as he's there they'd never bring Mourinho in.

He’ll probably go out of his way to sign Cavani on a free and use him instead of Kane.

Makes you wander how much of his success is down to him or was it mainly down to Rui Faria. We went from 2nd with Rui, to him being sacked by Christmas without him. Now even his spurs team have conceded 42 in 30 games under him

If it's a factor it's marginal at best (Rui oversaw 15/16 at Chelsea with Mou) I think what we're now seeing is a culmination of a gradual decline over 10 years to what now is a poor manager.

He really should call it a day for his own good, even forgetting the fact he looks so out of place with the modern game he's always happier when he has a break from the pressures.

It’s fascinating to see how Spurs are playing. So much shit I gave our players but this Spurs team is playing the exact same. The forwards waste so much energy in his tactics

I still can't believe Levy is paying him £15m a year after what happened at United.

The same old story will happen, the transfer window will come, he won't get the money he wants and he will sulk. They'll have an awful start to the season and he will become even more sulky and split the dressing room. Only the ones he's chosen to support (Dier,Kane,Lloris) will stick with him.

He can still live of his reputation for quite a while no matter how bad it gets for him.

Moyes and Pardew still get jobs because of reliative success nearly a decade ago, the 2015 title will buy Mou some time for a little longer yet.

Can't we have a poll on how long he'll last in the spurs job? Reckon he'll be out by December.

No way he goes for at least another couple of years at least. Levy ain't going to pay him off with that contract. Like it or not Jose is here to stay.
