One was a fluke but it was criminal to give away possession. But this is Jose all over of late. Just not good enough at shutting shop. he was quite happy to concede possession
Crazy to think that shutting teams out was once his biggest strength.

6 draws from 8 games so far this weekend as it stands..

Most unpredictable season I’ve ever witnessed..

Edit: Barkley just scored, thanks for messing up my post Ross..

Super goal from Barkley. Villa have been very good. Look a completely different team from last season.

Not very likely no, but in a world where players like Fred and AWB costs 50m i think he might be worth it
We don't have to build him up by slagging off our own. Besides AWB is a developing player and Grealish has had a good few years before people are having orgasms over him. At the same age he was being humiliated in the FA Cup final but no one was saying how terrible he was. If anything it demonstrates the value in keeping faith and developing young players

This is more his level (Barkley) of a team...Just like a John Stones should go to one of those "lower"-level teams(with less pressure) to revive his career.

Bloody good win that for us. Barkley wasn't involved much but that bit of magic outside of Grealish we didn't have last season. Dodgy opening 20 minutes but we were very solid afterwards and dangerous on counter but lacking the final ball.

Payback for that 3-2 September 2015 match which was a proper sliding doors moment for us and Leicester.

Everton and Villa will drop off and the top 6-8 places will be what we expect around Christmas.

Remember when people were getting giddy at Hull or was it Blackpool being in the CL spots quite a few months into a season. I’d love it if Everton and Villa do stick around up there but can’t see it.

Villa repeating the Leicester story? Wouldn't shock me that much to be honest, they have some very good players in Grealish, Watkins and Barkley, a good goalkeeper and a decent coach, all while the rest within the league are looking awful.

The league is wide open this year. Everton could win it.
I wouldn't have thought so, think the big boys will still pull away over time, in particular City.

It's good to see it wide open at this point though, and means we can afford to be shit for a little bit and still have a chance of a good season.

Didn't watch any of the matches, but saw the highlights from the Spurs West Ham match. Spurs looked like they had so many opportunities to kill the game off, and then that Bale chance at 3-2...

3-0 up and looking comfortable, the prodigal son returns and they draw 3-3. Mad second debut.

I'm surprised Moyes has got a team motivated to play for him. Good on him. That jumping dance too, almost like when he pumped his fist in the air when we salvaged a draw years ago.

Villa winning their first 4 games in the league after literally escaping relegation last season in last 2 games.

Villa vs Everton for the title ? This season sure as hell can end up being a big surprise like Leicester one.

Everton would be more likely. Villa are nowhere near strong enough.
