Is there a worse commentary duo?

I know Mcmanaman is shite with anyone next to him, but it’s like two of him when he’s there with Fletch.

Fletch has to be the worst main commentator in the history of football.

Can't say I'm a fan of either of them too and you're right, combined they're a god-awful pair. Not even sure who I like anyone - Jon Champion and Ian Darke perhaps but there's very few top main commentators I'm a fan of. As for the "colour commentator" as our Yank friends would say, we need our own Tony Romo. Neville and Carra are good though.

Never understand the McManaman bile.

Yeah he's a scouser, but grew up supporting Everton, and diddled them out of a fee by pretending he'd sign, then running off to Madrid for free.
I'm not sure he's actually that one eyed at all.

Fletcher is so bad. Very surprised BT haven't replaced him yet. As for the other prick....no comment.

Tbh 90% of todays commentators make my ears bleed, but McManaman is horrendous on the ears.

I actually prefer watching foreign coverage these days , dare i say it even US coverage like Fox Sports is more bearable than the commentators on offer in the UK,

Even Neville recently, he's so terrified of being blasted as bias on commentary he seems to have done a 180 and is extremely negative about us , when he says "Ohh he could be in trouble hear you know" for the slightest of fouls it does my head in!

Fletcher is god-awful.

McMannaman is vacuous.

Humphreys is an annoying smarmy git.

Savage is a parody.

Rio is great for the most part.

The overall presentation of BT Sport (their UFC team is the best in the game) is great but they really need to improve their commentator, pundit, and presenter rotation.

Monday Night Football with Neville and Carragher is a different level.

Motson’s pairings with both Brooking and Lawrenson are the worst of all time for me. Motson was clueless and shrill, Brooking was the most boring man on Earth and Lawro was miserable.

Had to laugh at Fletch for being incredibly hyperbolic over Alisson's save on Vardy after he made that mistake. Treating it like some superhuman feat.

I'm the same. Everyone just seems to aggressively hate all pundits, as much as they hate refs almost :lol:. Ally McCoist is the best for me.

BT are just absolutely insufferable for these European games. The English team does a thing "oh, you have to applaud them for being clever there, it's up to the referee to take action", five minutes later the other team does the exact same thing and they're sneaky, cheating foreigners.

And that's before you get to the outright fecking cheerleading.

This did happen back in the ITV Champions League days as well to an extent, but it wasn’t this insufferable. I totally saw that Tydlesley was essentially a cheerleader for United and he could be too much at times, but the broadcast was still formal and professional.

On BT, they go off on wild fecking tangents at times and the commentary sounds like the two drunk guys at the bar loudly commentating the game between themselves.

I don’t think mcmanaman is actually that bad, but that’s probably because he’s always next to “Fletch” who is fecking dreadful. Liverpool TV last night and now MCFC TV. Horrible.

It's horrendous to the point where it's comical. Fletcher is constantly trying to get clipped for future adverts, basically the world's most boring hypeman.

Neville is worse than McManaman. At least McM has some positivity in his tone and content. When Neville is commentating, I tend to watch a different channel.

McManaman is definitely better than he used to be. Seems a bit calmer and more level-headed than he was about 9 or 10 years ago.

I remember one game he was doing punditry in the studio for one of our games, and he was absolutely seething that we got a penalty in the first half. He spent the whole half time break ranting about it how it was a dive (and I think it was as well). And then in the 2nd half, BT cast a picture-in-picture of McManaman in the corner of the screen, continuing to rant, saying the same things he said at half time, but louder. he was unhinged in those early days of BT Sport.

It's just the BT directive to give insufferably skewed coverage in favour of the English team in European games. They're like that with all of them, no matter who's on comms. It's like watching the fan channel of whichever team is on.

I can't even be arsed with it when they do it for us, I don't really want to hear Robbie Savage wank himself blind over Ronaldo, thanks.
