Job done. We came here with the intention of not losing, and we executed that plan to perfection. Absolutely wonderful stuff. Apart from a couple of chances, we nullified Palace and kept Benteke, Ayew and Townsend quiet. Thank god Palace didn't have Zaha available for selection.

Fantastic to see Rashford sulking, Greenwood losing the ball, Bruno being invisible, Fred giving away fouls, James missing a header, Matic slowing down our play, and Maguire giving the ball away.

We are a young team with very few leaders on and off the pitch.

And on a foggy night like this - it shows.

Zero urgency, no fight....

No hunger to win a game.
Super late substitutions even when we ate playing shit.
Poor performances from Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno
Poor performance from Maguire and Wan Bissaka

Staring Matic and Fred in a midfield two is like starting a Honda and a Subaru in a Grand Prix.

Horrible, horrible performance. Absolutely gutted.

Anyone else browsing on their phones after half time recently?

Usually I'll pay attention the whole way through but the last few games I've resorted to my phone for entertainment. No drive, no desire, no attacking impetus. Feels like we've gone backwards, LvG would be proud.

Almost deserved to concede that late shot from van Aanholt. At least it would've given everyone a kick up the arse.

2x limited midfielders is killing us

that and our completely spineless wide forwards

Oh and the quite frequent defensive howlers.

other than that, we’re good to go

Not wasting my time on sunday, we are going to be schooled very hard. Only take out from game is Ole is not good enough to manage at this level, Rashford is awful and only Bruno and Shaw showed any intent to win that game. 1the sooner Ole pisses off out of this club, the better. He has had over 2 years now and we are incredibly lucky to be 2nd, that is not a reflection of progress and most games this season have been pathetic.

This season is withering away into nothingness. Had a lot of promise and we've thrown it all away with shite performances like today. Just gotta scrape top 4 yet again this season.

Even mother nature is tired of watching our shit on a stick football. We really don't have any clue what to do when the ball reaches the final third and teams are finding it far too easy to keep us out if one of our "talismans" isn't firing. The end of the season is going to be a real struggle.

Someone does something good -> Individual Brilliance.

Someone fails at being able to control/pass a ball -> Poor Coaching From Ole.

Players should be absolutely ashamed at that performance, to be honest. Difficult conditions, against a disgustingly negative Palace (how many times did the commentators mention how amazing Roy is at drilling 'shape'? Call a spade a spade, that's a fecking double decker they just parked at home) but wow; SO many misplaced passes, poor touches, and losing 50/50's.

Awful, awful from the players - Shaw the only one who came out of that with any technical credibility for me (Hendo showing class and defence were OK defending the few bits Palace strung together)

Jose Van Solkjaer.
Seriously boring football.
Newcastle and CP both played better football than us. Their brand of football is superior.

Knew it wouldn't be a comfortable win as some others thought but I'd expected United to win at least 1-0.

Like Spurs, Leicester this season its a draw for United in selhurst Park. The performance a bigger concern than the result with so many of these players off form, a real top 4 dog fight on their hands now and I'm not very confident a top 4 place will achieved.

2 crap Mourinho-era defensive midfielders to cover up for our already crap defence.
Philosophy being our forward line will make up for it. Trouble is our forward line don't know how to play together as a cohesive unit. Particularly The media God-child Marcus Rashford who would be a benchwarmer if it wasn't for the fact that his peers are almost as bad as he is.

Never thought I'd say this but can we play James more and can we have Pogba back please?

I'm sure Ole will do everything in his power to get that sacred nil-nil on Sunday. Until a proper team, the only decent team in England, batter us.

Where the grass is greener.
I do wonder how people can still make excuses for Ole and the coaching staff, something has to change, so much improvement is clearly needed.

In theory that was our best team minus Pogba, it was a woeful performance.

I don't have the energy to really dissect it right now, but how we're second is fecking ridiculous. We were fecking dreadful yet again.

For a while(a month or two ago) i was happy the days of being depressed under and after our games was history. We’re making history again...

Feck me that was horrible. Blame the circumstances all you like, but we have lost on effort in all of our last games i can remember(since SHU?)(except first half at the bridge). Quite happy i avoided throwing anything at the tv .

The team is running on empty. I'm still scratching my head on why he had to play a near full-strength team in the Europa League.
You’re clutching at straws thinking that’s a reason we’re shite right now. Every team has injuries, most are a little fatigued. No excuse for poor passing and giving the ball
Away or just plain safe football.
Doesn’t matter about top 4, Ole is not the man to take us forward. He’s done well but it’s limited

Rubbish, I don't want to ever have to think of that match again.

Shaw was the only player who you could say put a decent performance in.

Cavani was non-existent, Bruno wasteful, Rashford genuinely didn't look like he wanted to be out there.

Fred's worst match in ages and Matic isn't good enough, I've seen people praising his last few performances but I don't see it, unbelievably slow.

Palace were shit too, which makes it even more embarrassing how we caused them no problems.

At least we didn't lose.

Why the hell we had to watch the pair of Matic and Fred for nearly 75 minutes? And what were Rashford and Greenwood needed to do in order to be replaced?
Abysmal performance. After Sunday's game we'll be third

Awful shape and awful decisions to make changes so late yet again. Ole's in game management has cost us a title challenge over the course of the season.
Totally lost confidence that the management will even get us a top four finish.
One trick is not sufficient to manage Mufc.

Atrocious.

Ole smiling at full time says it all. Where is the passion and determination to find the winner and get the 3 points? Horseshit.

I'm getting annoyed at Ole's reluctance to make subs. We didn't need two limited holding midfielders to play together for as long as they did.

Ole tactically clueless bar counter attacking football! Rashford, Bruno, greenwood all completely clueless. 1 shot on target against crystal palace. And what where those subs?!?
I’m not sure you know we have a pretty average bench. we do have a few injuries so not sure what you expected from the subs?

One shot on target versus Crystal Palace. One, and that was a deflected long range hit and hope from Matic. Pathetic.

I’ve got to say since we went top after Burnley away some 10 PL games ago, the managers attitude has been noticeably small time and the players have followed his lead. This is very troubling

Very poor. Our form has nose dived since Pogba's injury.
This.

At least with Pogba he is hit and miss but offers some quality from central midfield, Fred with A N Other is a lot of huff puff but really wont blow your house down. Rashford's first touch is pretty bad in all honesty and he snatches at chances. Everyone banging on about right winger in the summer. That will make zero difference unless there is some quality playing in the centre circle feeding them the ball.

Also Greenwood, besides Cavani, probably our most natural number 9. Stop playing the kid on the fekkin right hand side. Bench him and start Cavani as number nine or Bench Cavani and start Greenwood, none of this Martial Pish. Greenwood is learning nothing, nor is he developing as a dribbler on the right. Final third, do the damage, that's where he will be a great player.
