1st we were annoyingly sloppy. The attack and midfield were dreadfull. Maguire, Lindelof and Shaw were the only positives in the half.
2nd half, alot more tidier and far more professional.

Fought hard first half bit created nothing. Rashford clearly not fit..

Pogba on made all the difference. We looked a different team and he oozed class. Great goal, what composure to do that little dummy before shooting.
Lindelof and Maguire immense, not often you can say that!!

Great victory -

Glad Ole heard some of us praying he would sub Rash for Pogba. It was clear he wasn't fit
Pogba - an abolute beast
Great game from Lindelof and also very classy performance from Hendo in couple of situations
Yeah - Rashford should stay at home and not travel with England, 100%

If we didn't win, we might have lost that one.

I know they're a bit shit under Jose, but glad that Spurs aren't in the mix. They would probably shithouse their way to a win against us if they were drawn against us and it would be intolerable.
Yeah I am glad they are gone too. They would have been tough for us with the Jose factor

Also glad Rangers are out, not just because they are cnuts but could do without the Gerrard side story that no doubt would have dominated the lead up

Pogback

We need to invest in another creative midfielder. Two if Pogba leaves.

That was a terrific performance. Scholes does my head in a bit when he says not vintage United, this is not Wigan at home in the PL 10 years ago. This is a evolving side putting in a text book away performance at a notoriously difficult venue.

That was a hard watch but a brilliant result. Should give the players more confidence to know they can take on a big cup game and come through.

Looking forward to a bunch of fresh players being available post international break.

Tough win with a terrible first half and an okay second half, Pogba's goal is brilliant.

To the next round fellas..

Personally I thought that was a big improvement in terms of game management. In several games this season we've been a goal up and invited pressure late on. This game I thought we were comfortably in control in the last 20 minutes, and never looked like conceding an equaliser. I don't mind at all that it was a scrappy win.

If Pogba leaves at the end of Summer, it will be a huge loss. That hold up play today was absolutely world class and not many around who do it better.

Hard to say we were anything but pretty average over both legs, the first was particularly bad, I think the second half tonight was the only time we reached a level to be reasonably content with. In the final third it really didn't happen and Milan did defend well, albeit they were also quite toothless up front. But overall we did dig in and defend well which was pleasing. Maguire and Lindelof have hit a pretty good patch and they're being protected well which I think is so crucial for that pair, not to be isolated.

Must admit I wasn't that confident at half time, but we got the job done and deservedly so.

We are an unbelievably resilient team, and we don't get enough credit for that. Not nearly enough. This season is gruelling like no other, and while we don't always win games we should we very rarely look like losing, and we very rarely lose, and that is a massive step forwards for this team.

Defence, again, were outstanding. McFred worked seriously hard, and McTominay again showing the presence of a future top class midfielder. James was lacking in top quality but a terrier, this teams JS Park.

Pogba, how we've missed him. He's won me over. Has to stay.

On we go. Ole doubters can once again done one. Enjoy this season or don't bother

Professional performance and did what we needed against the best team in the competition outside of us and I wouldn’t have been surprised to have seen us knocked out against Milan, looking at who’s left you’d expect us to go on to win the competition now.

A much improved second half performance. Great to see Pogba back and making a difference. A special mention to the defence as well as they have their critics but did well, again, this evening. Well done, lads!

We started out sharp and looked good and just went down hill after that....until Pogba comes on!

- Man have we missed Pogba in midfield.
- I'm afraid to count how many times Bruno gave the ball away.
- McT and Fred are just good enough and that's about all anyone can say.
- Defense is really looking good and organized.
- I'll bet Lindelof and Maguire prefer Henderson over DDG.

Move on and now let's beat LC who are another inferior team.

Much improved second half, didn't create much but far more control. Everyone better, even our current pantomime villain Fred, who i thought was excellent after the break. Defence great, particularly Harry and Lindelof. James poor but had a fantastic last 10 when we needed him. Pogba just adds so much, wherever you put him. He's back at just the right time. Let's not underestimate this result. The Caf being the Caf, we'll want it both ways, claim we're vastly inferior to Milan, then completely write off the fact that we've come to Milan and beat them well in the end. This is a big result.

How annoying was Simon Kjaer?
Was whining to 4th official after the fulltime whistle that Fred was on the floor for over 4 minutes. He can get fecked.

Quality of both teams was atrocious in general and Pogba coming on shows how much a top player with ability can affect game. We really need Martial / Cavani fit for Sunday because Rashford can be very good but, playing injured, he is just another player and Greenwood / James just are not cutting it as starters.

Deano made the save he should have last week though he almost fluffed that one too.

Average both legs but still won? Not a bad trait by any means.

There is a lot we need to work on, namely keeping possession, but that’s not for this thread.

Well done lads, job done.

Really happy with that, all things considered. Obviously not the best we've ever played but I thought everyone put in a great effort, and I love that Pogba got the winning goal...!

Come on Utd!

Im glad we won, but we cant keep playing like this and expecting to win against the better teams
Milan away certainly is one of the better teams.

Tactically sound win, and they kept the calm.

Professional performance. Henderson came up big when needed and claimed balls De Gea only would've dreamed of getting. Maguire and Lindelof fantastic and Pogba looked like he has been playing the whole time...

Very happy with the result, if not the performance. The form of our forwards, Bruno included is worrying.

MOTM Pogba by a country mile, Henderson and James did well.

I've criticised Lindelof this season many times, tonight he was superb. Fred was great 2nd half too.

Thought Bruno was wasteful tonight and we need a Haaland and Grealish to move on to the next level

Dig up stupid!
Was a very tough tie but over the two legs we deserved it.

Defended really well tonight, lindelof especially was excellent.

When you consider our striker issues atm you have to be impressed with how we managed to dig it out and it was a really mature performance tonight.

Anyone but Arsenal in the draw please, hate playing English teams in Europe

Credit where its due, we all (including myself) moaned about Fred, Mctominay, Bruno in the first half whilst Rashford was completely invisible.

Bringing on Pogba made all the difference.

Much better defensive performance this time. Lindelöf my MOTM.

Shows you how important having as many world class players as possible is. Pogba turned that around and we have to surround Bruno and him with more.
True - you could hear the team start to purr once Paul came on - he and Bruno work

We did it. Professional performance in a big European away game. Needed someone with big cajones and PP has the biggest in our team. A lot of our underlying problems are still apparent but save that for some other time. Hope we draw Granada tomorrow
