Leicester/ Leics catchment area is bigger than people think and being a one club city I was a little surprised we didn’t go for a higher capacity, but have to say it looks very impressive

if you look at staadiums like City/Spurs/Arsena/PSG they look so modern. If you look at the players entrance at old trafford it seems like they are coming out of a factoy workshop. Really feeling bad that a club like UTD falling behind so much.

They say this now but they'll probably just end up taking the existing stadium and putting a clock in it

Big clubs only need a paint job on one side to make it look new.

But seriously, good for them. Think they are run really well and have been rewarded

I personally think those bowl stadiums lack soul and character. OT may need upgrading, but I certainly hope when that happens, same as when Chelsea eventually renovate the Bridge, that they keep the 4 stands the way it is now.

Agree

The South Stand is 50 years old. It needs demolishing and rebuilding with steeper stands.

City and PSG were both given their stadiums. Spurs now have the biggest debt in the PL and well look at Arsenal since they went to The Emirates.

I'll stick with the factory workshop ta.

Nothing wrong with factory workshops. I want my stadiums to have character not look like an airport terminal.

I think the capacity is fine for the time being as there is still room for further expansion if needed. Better to build in stages as demand justifies.
Khun Vichai had a great vision for the club & his son Top intends to honour that vision.

Funny how clubs in this country prefer to develop individual stands, often in clashing styles, as opposed to looking at the entire stadium.

Isn't it a question of how building the whole thing in one is too much of a drain on a club's resources?

Mental to think they are willing to go ahead with expanding the stadium but not providing transfer funds to keep the team safe in the league. No point having a 40+k stadium if they can't fill it in while being in the Championship, bit of a backward future planning.

They have a good and loyal fanbase. They haven't exactly been rolling in trophies have they? They'll have no problem filling it.

Ironically this development has already cost Leicester a transfer window, with more financial burden to come following this.

not true Rodgers has cost himself that, and has now fallen out with 1 of the 3 players he signed that he actually played because he spoke the truth post match about us not playing well.

Also apparently they had a blazing row over set piece defensive set up, Rodgers didn't want to change it because you know we're so great at it ...

This also is not true!

Leicester have been struggling for a while financially, the training ground took funds from elsewhere leading to a hefty loss on the club's books, the redevelopment cost overall will be even worse.

This is the reason why the transfer windows will be quiet for Leicester for the foreseeable. Nowt to do with Rodgers.

yes we have losses but that's not why we didn't spend it was to avoid future FFP restrictions, caused because Rodgers has wasted so much money on players he never plays.

I wish fans of other clubs would stop trying to tell us why we didn't spend

Probably should’ve bought some players instead of spending all the money on the training ground and stadium. bite

You spent £100m on a new training ground, where do you think that money came from?

You're planning on building new infastructure, which requires money.

That's the reason you didn't spend, nothing to do with Rodgers.

Although I do agree that some of the signings were a bit strange.

Yes you know more than our owner who publicly said we needed to sell first due to FFP regulations especially around the wage bill.
