Surprised someone hasnt taken a punt on him at a higher level than Wolves, like a Leicester, Arsenal, or Spurs.
Because he's a terrible footballer. It's like putting Usain Bolt on the wing. Yes, nobody will catch him, but they don't need to. Just let him get to the point where he needs to do something with the ball and he will waste it. That's exactly what we did from about minute 20 yesterday. He gets the average fan excited but it's not at all dangerous to the team.

His only use is that teams can't push too far forward against Wolves because he will move the ball quickly up the pitch on the counter.

If he could be got for relatively cheap I'd like him here. Be a huge upgrade on James that's for sure

He's everything Dan James should be. I'd love him as a bench player to throw on in the last 20 mins and test all the opposition's tired legs.

He’s a much a better dribbler than James. Like noticeably better. Daniel James isn’t even in the same tier as Traore regardless of how bad you think his final ball is
Yes but no one was comparing his dribbling abillities. Adamas dribbling also primarily consists of "change angle, run really fast", which isn't untalented by any means, but he's not Neymar

If football was won by just dribbling really fast he'd be great. Sadly for him, it isn't.
Its his responsibility to not just 'find the man' but also to make it easy by placing it where it is easy to strike cleanly/ take on with a touch and with the right speed and trajectory to make it workable. Its why his numbers are poor for the danger he provokes during a game.

Having rewatching it again - it does only bounce the once, but the speed, pitch and spin made it a hard finish
There was absolutely no need for a first time finish. He should have been controlling that and picking his spot, the striker. In that situation that's as good a pass as you can expect. Any slower and its going to get intercepted with ease.

Because he's a huge unit, guessing around 170-180lbs, runs really fast and twists and turns a lot, not sure how long your knees could handle that kind of weight doing that kind of movement.
He'd be the perfect super sub. Definitely can't play full 90s every week for his entire career.

Probably not, but next time he's in that situation it will need a first time finish. It's not going to happen when you strike the ball as badly as that on the pass.

I'd happily have him here. They are misusing him although i do worry about his stamina. Firstly, he can't be playing on the left, makes no sense. He's got poor movement and he can't really use his weak foot. Secondly, Wolves players are allergic to the box. Play him how we played Valencia all those years ago and you'd be in business. Give him the ball and then get players in the box. He actually has a very good delivery on his right foot hence he had 12 assists before last season.

I think it's harsh to blame him for not making a perfect pass in that instance. The pass wasn't even deflected and the striker just needed to beat the keeper. Traore did very little wrong.

He wasn't compared to Neymar, but he does regularly use close control dribbling to get past defenders. Daniel James not so much.

Wolves needed to take advantage of his dominance first half. Not very good 2nd half.

Depends a lot on flexibility and balanced muscle strength. If he puts as much work into his hips, psoas, lower back and abs, ankles, glutes and hamstrings than he does biceps and stuff guy should be able to play till later. Hope he does yoga for his sake

Was he the one who had it when there was a wolves attacked completely alone in the center and the ball never made it?

True, I remember Gelson Fernandes playing for Everton against us with a broken shin bone or something years ago as his leg muscles were so strong he didn't notice.

Let's hope Traore is the same.

He's a physical specimen and wonderful athlete, but I've never rated him as a footballer. Don't actually see what any of the fuss is about. No end product, either finishing or delivering. Just let him run around and he'll eventually lose the ball on way or another.

Yeah but to be fair to be home I don't remember seeing a single over lap for him yesterday with a full back backing him up ( I didn't get to see the whole game). He seemed to beat us and could have had more attacking help.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Why is he playing on left though? He could have taken Maguire and Shaw for a ride today but he stayed with AWB. Still he was a big threat.
Shaw is one of the very few players who can match him for power while also not being too much slower. I remember in one of the games last season they ran into each other a few times and I'm fairly certain Shaw came out on top each time. AWB has the pace but not the power, plus he relies so much on his (fantastic) diving tackles that it's actually quite dangerous against somebody with the brilliant close control and touch of Adama.

I wasn't clear- what I meant was Varane - AWB is quicker than Shaw - Maguire combo. You overload that side with Semedo, you have a chance to outpace that side.

I love this footballer. He's so buff it's ridiculous. I burst out laughing every time the camera moved to him.

I think he'd be a fantastic bench/rotation option for a big side.

We know he has weaknesses with end product but I think even the space he creates would add something to a side. It takes 2 or 3 to stop him and his dribbles are ridiculously effective.

For a top side with great players in forward areas he only has to find them, he doesn't necessarily have to find the perfect cross, pass or finish himself. He's a way of getting the ball forward quickly so that not everything has to be deliberate and methodically worked forward.

A a very high quality winger. Runs & dribbles very well turns amazingly, beats players with ease. Before the Wolves match I said he’s lack of finishing is what will hold him back from a move to a top side.

But really if people just accept that he isn’t a finisher, and actually he’s final ball is usually good then all he needs is a good number 9 to feed. Then could see him getting very high on assists stats

He'd be worse than James for us - he's all pace and power, brilliant when there's space to run into but useless against a low block, and even with space his end product is horrendous.

He's also much more explosive than James, so wouldn't have the same fitness levels in the press. James can at least offer constant running to make up for his technical deficiencies.

I'd love us to get him to be honest, depending on the price of course.
He'd be nothing but a squad player here but can you imagine being 1-0 down and the opposing team is tiring with 25mins to go, then we bring this guy on. He'd scare the team to death.

Completely agree. He never really worries me much at all, despite the fact he can carve big holes in the team. He just never seems to do anything with it at all. He has had people to feed in the box (Jiminez I think is decent, obviously was out for most of last season) and I just don't see it at all.

Adama was fantastic the year before last when Jimenez was fit and firing. I think the comments about him needing a good number 9 are correct, just like prime Valencia needed Rooney to feed.

I really want him at Spurs. If he could score himself that would be a bonus but as long as he runs past everyone before giving the ball to Kane or Son then happy days.

I get the criticism with him but it's also a bit simplistic to boil everything down to goals and assists. Of course they are ultimately what matters but having a player who can progress/carry the ball like no other, draw fouls and generally create chaos can still bring a lot of value to a team. It's just that at the moment it largely depends on those around him whether those qualities amount to something more tangible.

I got to say, he’ll be superb for Spurs. If he could improve his finishing he’d be one hell of a player.

With that physique he can only be explosive for a half.

Agreed, I think yours would be a team where he could fit in well.

Replace James, Mata, Lingard maybe martial with him and Allan Saint Maximim. Sure they might not score much to be starters but it would be awesome to watch defenses trying to cope with them 20 minutes. :-)

Allan Saint-Maximim Ronaldo Traore
