We all know that after the game today his notebook is full

Excited to get a proper modern football manager at the top and see what changes he can bring. We are not far away from being a top club a little push in the right direction and we will be there.
we're just 2 points away from Arsenal at 5th place and 3 points from West ham in 4th

He's gonna have his hands full isn't he.

This team is so devoid of any coaching its borderline criminal.

Our only hope are Sancho who's been training with Dortmund the proper way, Ronaldo because he's Ronaldo, Varane and VDB because they havent been corrupted by Jose or Ole....

If he only had the man in black memory eraser thingy....just ZAP the feckers and start from the begining.

His problem will be lack of time on the training pitch. I can imagine his methods rely heavily on developing patterns of play on the training pitch. We’re literally game after game until Christmas. Hopefully he can get his ideas across quickly. I can’t wait for 1pm on Sunday and to see his first line up

Yeah I don't see it.
Should of gone after Liverpool, let alone City. Then for him to go away on holiday.. perfect time for an interim rather than getting smashed by Watford.
I believe hatching plans to remove Ole from the manager position began in motion after the Liverpool game, if not the City game at the latest.

The nature of Rangnick's contract and seeing how quickly things moved after Ole sacking has me thinking this was little more planned than just on a whim in the space of a day.

But that's just my hunch.

This guy is inheriting an absolute shit show
The weird thing is that a lot fans seem to think he did a fantastic job and improved things by leaps and bounds.
My own personal take is that the coaching and tactics went completely out of the window during his tenure.
But, somehow, he managed to get the club to spend big on some very good players.
So, on balance, he has left Ralf a squad of top quality players, who need to be coached and taught tactics that will allow us to win games on the front foot.

Evra and Shearer had absolute nightmares just now discussing Rangnick. They went full Paul Merson.

Evra really showing up how totally clueless he is about the game.

"United have their own DNA and their own way of playing. Why should it take on the style of a Rangnick"

And to think some people wanted this guy in as a DOF.

That’s really nasty, especially, at the time when everyone needs to galvanize. Some of these ex-players are really thick though.

Time for these ex-players to pipe down a bit and let Rangnick get to work. Feels like they are just looking for headlines.

Don't know about nasty, it's just immensely stupid. How clueless do you have to be to think that United own a particular way of playing?

Basically disagreeing with the concept of Rangnick bringing a recognisable footballing identity to the club, for the first time since LVG really, and it continuing once he's finished the season and gone upstairs.

I really love the guy's passion for United but he's thick as shit and Henry's disdain for him was visible throughout their time in the studio.

Rangnick's philosophy is more Manchester United than whatever the feck our last few coaches have been trying to do.

Yeah, Evra was talking so much shit it was infuriating. They don’t accept him because he’s not ‘one of us’. I really hope Rangnick swiftly and ruthlessly severs all the ‘old boys’ culture.

Ridiculous from Evra, but unsurprising. I wish they’d actually asked Evra why he thinks Rangnick’s style is so different to the mystical “United DNA”. I’m fairly sure he (and a lot of the pundits) have never seen Rangnick’s teams play.

Klopp & Tuchel both praising the appointment is far more noteworthy.

There’s a number of them that have had to eat crow in the past few weeks, I reckon Ralf could be in for a tough time in the pundit field.

If we're successful they'll all change their tune, but the Utd DNA crying is so tedious after the pile of wank we've had to watch over the last few years.

Not that I disagree with anything you said, but Evra, and other United players have played against Rangnick teams. While playing for United.

I was listening to a pod making this point about AWB (could have been Jonathan Wilson, can't remember) that he's never really had modern coaching. He's played under Hodgson and Ole. He might still come good and develop technically and in his final third play. Rashford is another who can benefit immensely, he's quite below the potential most see (or saw) in him. And of course Greenwood, who is waiting for someone with know-how to help guide his incredible talent.

This is what infuriates me the most. If Ole's football was 'United DNA' then our DNA is fecking shite and I welcome Ralf to completely reinvent our club.

Doubt they'll change their tune until United wins the league again. The narrative's been established and it's going to be pretty easy for them to snipe away. This team's invariably going to have a rough go of it during Rangnick's time (I personally don't think his managing/coaching tenure here will be successful at all) and the media and fan criticism will be a good stress test for Woodward, Murtough and others in terms of how much committed they really are to changing things at this club.

The United DNA Evra talks about (which, is the Ferguson DNA) is buying young players, playing academy players, playing high intensity attacking football and playing 4-4-2.

We haven't been that since Fergie retired (and even before). Although, it does sound a lot like a bloke we just hired...

United DNA doesn't equal "used to play for United". It's complete bollocks.

I don't know how much more I can take listening about the fabled "United DNA". Patrice, Gary, lads, the "United DNA" has left this club dry for a decade now. Not just dry, but not even within striking distance of a meaningful achievement. DNA is meant to evolve and adapt. Or it gets snuffed out. This is where we have been for the last 10 years. Now we either adapt or fade away. And Rangnick is our best shot right now.

The holiday was clearly breathing space for both ole and a divided board. There wasn’t a decision taken until Watford put the nail in his coffin

Need to prepare ourselves for a lot of this talk over the coming weeks, and indeed months if things don’t click straight away.

Evra tried to assure us the Glazers love the football club. Right before they pulled the superleague out of the hat

It won't.

It took Klopp how long to get Liverpool in this title challenging shape. I don't doubt Rangnick but 6 months is not long enough to see him mold this team into a title challenging side.
We'll see progress but it will take the next manager, some investment and 2 years minimum to see anything meaningful in regards to team performances on par with City and Liverpool on a consistent basis.

The silver lining here is that the club now has a solid plan in place with an experienced manager at the forefront of modern game. If we're going to give anyone the same backing Ole got in terms of investment, time and support from the fans it has to be Ralf Rangnick and his eventual successor. Come hell or high water we have to back the long term project.

Agreed, so he should know what to expect from Rangnick’s teams. It’s not like we’ve hired Pulis!!

Rangnick’s style from the way he talks & the limited YouTube clips I’ve seen, on paper at least, is more comparable to the “United DNA” than any manager we’ve had since SAF. I hope Evra’s reaction is an anomaly from the ex-Utd pundits & not what we see after every game we lose under Ralf, but I think they’ll be far more critical than they were with Ole.
