FA cup final 2001
FA cup final 2002
Fa cup final 2003
Champions league final 2006

Barcelona
Champions league final 2009

France

Can’t believe he’s still in the league to be honest. Looked him up and he is only 34 but has been around forever! Been in the league more than half of his life!

I cant believe as an attaker he has scored so little, I mean thats 2 goals in 5 years...How does he keep getting new contracts? yesterday he was Burnley's best attacker but god damn those are the worse numbers I've remember seeing from a professional player.

No team in particular.
Van Dijk is gonna play his first World Cup ever being 31 years old.

Eric Cantona never played in a World Cup.

Man Utd have been cursed since they won their last league title in the PL era. 13th title

West Bromwich Albion did not lose a single game they played away to City, Liverpool or Chelsea last season. In fact, they came away with an aggregate score of 7-4.

They now have Steve Bruce as manager having sacked Valerien Ismael earlier in the season, and are a languishing mid table Championship club without a hope of promotion.

Salah just became the top scorer in our rivalry with Liverpool and all it took for him to do so was 5 goals in a single season.

john moss deliberately ambles around the pitch, miles from the play, to ensure the ball does not get trapped in his gravitational field.

It just came to me, if ac Milan become the Italian champions then three generations of Maldini members will become Scudetto winners.
Super cool.

If a match is moved forwards it will take place 2 hours later because time is linear and we move around it rather than time moving towards us.

I hope that Daniel will become great player like his father and grandfather. Tbh, Daniel needs to improve himself a lot. It’s impossible that he will reach his father level but at least I hope he will be at starter level( which right now, he isn’t).

If a match is moved fowards it will take place in the "correct" time for people playing/watching it. Time looks linear if we are fat enough to be really affected by gravity and forced to accept the speed of casuality, because its easier for nature to move into degradation than to repair itself, what creates an ilusion of linear time and arrow of time.

Yes but have you factored in Jon Moss into your calculations?

Yes, but i thought it was implicit on my scientific argument against the concept of flow-of-time that its not valid in cases where Liverpool is involved. Its well known in the Physics community that there are special laws of nature applied to Liverpool.

In 203 less minutes played Son Heung-min has scored 7 more Premier league goals than Harry Kane this season.

Tonight was the first time Germany have beaten Italy in a competitive game. That's crazy!

Jack Wilshere has won goal of the season twice in a row, the only player to do so (13/14, 14/15)

Wayne Rooney and Bergkamp have won it twice but not in a row

If I remember correctly, they changed how the goal of the season would be chosen after he won in 14/15. Arsenal fans were way to active on anything around voting and they'd hijack every poll

Ryan Giggs didn't score as many goals as some may think.

His most prolific season was 93-94

In fact he only managed more than 10 goals in 5 seasons.

He scored 168 goals in 963 appearances. Paul Scholes got 155 in 718 appearances.

I wonder how he'd be viewed in the modern era of wingers being inverted goal-scorers?

This isn't me having a pop at Giggs, just saying that I thought he regularly got double figures.
Giggs probably should have scored more, his finishing was rather erratic. If he had been the main guys on pens and free kicks you could probably add at least another 50-75 goals to his career, even with that issue. However he was a creator first with vastly more defensive responsibility that your typical wide forwards of these days. Giggs was a midfielder more than a forward, and for much of his career his job was to create for 2 strikers and an attacking midfielder making late runs.

Most agree that if he was coming through now he would probably be turned into your standard inverted cut in and shoot spammer. For me that is the most boring use of him, his creativity and ability to run with the ball from deep destroying defensive shape could be incredible in a 3 man midfield, his instinct was to create rather than score, utilize that.

Individual goal tallies are overrated, Mahrez has scored 10+ 7 years in a row, is a 1 in 3 guy for City, Raheem Sterling has 131 in 339 for City, is anyone taking either of them ahead of Giggs?

Brazil have played against 89 different NTs on its history. Only three NTs got more victories than defeats against Brazil:
Norway
Hungary
Netherlands

Peter Crouch has a better goalscoring ratio for England than Alan Shearer, and only played 21 times less

I remember seeing a list of best British managers on TV that was decided by poll. Wenger was first, Ferguson second, a Spurs manager 3rd and Jose 5th. This was back around 2012/13 though. I remember thinking that clearly the poll was done in London.

Jose Mourinho's nine-year, 150-game unbeaten home record—stretching all the way back to March 16, 2002—came to an end on April 2, 2011 after Sporting Gijon beat his Real Madrid team 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Blackburn has had the transfer fee world record.
So has Falkirk.

I think it's more impressive that Real Betis had the record at a time when the Italian clubs were extremely rich and the English clubs had just started getting serious windfalls from the Prem era. More impressive yet that they shattered the world record for a no-mark like Denilson.
