Just discovered that Shaun Wright-Phillips' son D'Margio is a senior pro who broke through this year at Stoke City. His dad was still yong and lernin in my head when he was winding down his career at QPR, which again in my head was about two or three years ago, not seven (he moved to them first nearly 10 years ago now).

D'Margio isn't even a prodigy breaking through ahead of schedule, he'll be 21 at the start of next season. Don't like this. Don't like this at all.

This title is oddly specific.

Rooney and Arteta becoming managers was a big one, I remember Rooney scoring THAT goal against Arsenal on his debut

That's crazy. SWP should always be about 23.

When I look up a retired player who I haven't seen for ages and realise they aren't that actually that much older than me.

Gavi wasn't conceived when Shakira became relevant. Shakira was married to Pique who is Gavi's teammate. Pique is apparently now banging Gavi's mother.

D'Margio is easily one of the worst names ever thought up.

Seeing that all of our academy players now weren't even alive for the treble. Soon, we'll have players who never saw the double either!

I recently realized that our 4-3 match vs Real with Ronaldo hat-trick was almost 20 years ago. As was Cristiano debut and Abramovich purchase of Chelsea.

The fact that Ibra is seen as "old as feck", but he's only 3 years older than me.

Erling Haaland wasn't born yet when Norway last participated in a major international tournament (Euro's or WC).

I am not far too off 40 myself. I just find It weird.

For example Vidic is only 40 and earlier today I saw that Michael Owen is still only 42.

Yet, they just feel like they are from two totally different eras of football.

I like how most people in here are in their late 30's.. But does it make us middle aged people?. Hands up who suffers from aches and pains and is in this age bracket!. I'm 37.5 and nursing a trapped nerve from almost 2 weeks ago now so I'm definitely old

I only know I cannot lift weights as I used to when I was 22-30; now it's 3 days per week, maximum, and carefully (and not many reps).

Two bloody goals against us when we were winning the cup final, right?
What a game that was, didn`t Wright come on as a late sub and score twice to take it to extra time and a replay. The end of Jim Leighton and Les Sealey had his moment of glory.

I'm 37. What's made me old is having kids. Since that happened I can't get out and exercise as much, can't get to the gym. I'll get back to it eventually but it's hard.

I've no idea - they keep moving the goalposts. I'm 44 and middle age is 45-65 now apparently. I reckon they change it again before I get there and I'll never actually reach retirement age as they'll keep pushing it out.

I'm still feeling good, no real aches and pains but obviously things don't just heal by themselves anymore. I had a dodgy shoulder for ages but found a good physio so that's all good now once I keep an eye on it. I do have nackered ankles but that's been the case since my 20s. They're fine for most things and were manageable for a long time but if I try to play a weekly game of 5 a side now I go over on them too easily and I'm done within a month.

Get treatment for your trapped nerve if you aren't already. It's unlikely to heal itself anymore.
