I think it's fairly safe to say that we don't have scouts, not up to the standards at least. Thing with Frenkie is that he is obviously a quality player, so I would personally spend that amount on him than get someone for let's say £10-15m cheaper but with much more risk, someone like Fred. That is a big chunk of our transfer budget but here is hope we can somehow shift some deadwood, also we will free up quite a bit of money from the players that have left on a free.
I’m just a bit worried that we spend 70m on FDJ and then get maybe 1 more signing and we fail to offload some of the crap we’ve got.. we always struggle to offload players because of either how bad they are or how much money there on, we offer high wages for even the crap players so when teams are interested they can’t afford the wages and the players won’t take a pay cut to leave. I do feel like FDJ could transform our midfield but we still need another cm to play with him other then Fred and mctominay every week.

You need to grow up. I'm pretty much the same age because after 34 you might as well stop counting, and I play video games. Should I grow up? I don't work long hours at the business factory, literally ripping my remaining hair out because computer not worky worky, dealing with team members coming to me in tears because Mr Feckface - Director of Fecking Shit Up and External Comms - is fecking their shit up, only to come home to a house full of kids who need me to do everything except wipe their arses and sit watching some crap film about a dumb fish who lost his dad. Boo fecking hoo, feck that shit.

Once they've been herded one by one for their baths or showers and had their school clothes washed and pressed, finally going to sleep after spending the hours of 5:30-9:00 making more noise than Cina's mum during the last spin cycle of a 1600rpm cotton wash, I'm not going to sit and do something boring as shit like read an Avon brochure or find out how many capybaras are left in the wild. I'm pretending to be a fecking Thargoid destroying motherfecking Space Pirate, or building a dynasty made up entirely of inbred monks in CK3 before I invade France (because FECK. THEM.) or flying a tank through a helicopter just in time for Battlefield to lose its shitty connection again.
Approximately 500.000 capybaras in the wild. I found out so you didn't have to - now there's more time to invade France and live your best life.

Looks like we are back to our shithouse dealings. We are trying to drive the price down when we know others clubs can swoop for FDJ anytime.
This guy's tweets are banned from the twitter thread for a reason..

Oh I don't believe me. He's an embarrassment.

It should be shocking he has become so popular but then when you think about it its not really. There's a lot of Mark Goldbridges in this fanbase sadly.

He plays FIFA now doesn't he for views? He's nearly 40 and filing himself playing FIFA for 14 year olds. Needs grow up.
Ooh you didn't criticise grown men playing computer games did you.
Nothing gets this place as irate as that haha.

To be fair I don't have an issue with playing FIFA. There shouldn't be an age limit for that.

Today's the day, rejoice, fellow muppets!

Seriously though if we can get it done for 60M EUR fixed + 20M in bonuses that's pretty decent for a guy of his quality and importance.

Leaves plenty in the bank for another 2 signings (timber for 40M and potentially a new RB if we sell AwB for 20-30)

One of those ones that could indeed be a saga BUT if it comes off it will most likely be worth it given it significantly helps ETH implement his style on the team. Patience is justified I think.

Is this the start of the "Convert Euros to Pounds for any United transfer"? We'll eventually sign him for £100M plus add-ons at this rate.
For sure, we’ll eventually get him for £120m with add-ons, wages, bonuses etc. In the meanwhile City will have only paid £20m for Haaland in “brilliant” business.

Yeah he's worth a transfer saga in my opinion

Explain one movie like that ? Just one would be enough.
Benzema (Madrid)
Ozil (Madrid)
Khedira (Madrid)
Robben (Chelsea)
Hazard (Chelsea)
Moura (PSG)
Thiago (Bayern)
Torres (Liverpool)

just to name a few high profile players that we were linked up with prior to them ending up elsewhere. This exlcudes all the Sneijders and Sergio Ramos' of the world that ended up renewing with their then current clubs

I'd like to think that if we're still pursuing De Jong there's a realistic chance we could get him but I can't help but feel cynicism given our track record in recent years.

Our recruitment has been so poor and even good players who we've managed to sign like Sancho we were dicking around for 2 years before getting it over the line. I really hope there's some substance behind these structural changes at United because we need to be much better prepared going into next season.
