Crazy news. Great manager and he would've been my dream pick to replace Fergie all those years back. He was unlucky to come up against City and their endless pit of money, otherwise he would've won far more.
I think they get Xabi Alonso to replace, who has done very good things so far but they'll feel the impact of his loss for sure, especially with Salah and van dijk aging at the same time.

There are lots of good coaches they could bring in but most would be a step down from Klopp. Alonso or De Zerbi would be their best bets.

Schmadtke was a temp for the summer purely to help with deals who stayed on for a bit longer because he did alright and we had no alternatives lined up. Him leaving is not surprising at all.

Same thing happened with us when SAF left. Chances are they've already sounded out a replacement and he wants to bring in his own staff. If Klopp is exhausted, there's a good chance his backroom staff is too. I also read Lijnders wants to go into management on his own.

I completely disagree. In SAF's last season the players gave everything to win the league following a season where we lost it to City. We comfortably finished ahead of that same City team by 11 points. We also looked like we could have gone far in the CL that season, really getting screwed over by a ridiculous red card against Nani that completely swung the game in Real Madrid's favour after we had been winning.
Given we already have a very similar example at our own club, I don't see why you would assume the opposite would happen at Liverpool.
