Holy shit, full swinging punch in the face from their number 5 in the build up to our equaliser
Pretty typical of the Scousers at this level, for what they lack in talent they make up for in violence.

I thought I'd seen a full on punch in the first replay, so wasn't surprised when it got brought up. Very annoying that he got away with it. 100% a red. Don't even know if they do retrospective stuff at U18 level, but I hope so.

Williams looking quality again at U18 level.

He's 18 now. How he's been doing in his U21 chances? We rarely get to see any of their games live anymore. Would think he's got enough in his game to impress at that level as well.

Last U18 manager we had as good as Lawrence was McKenna, wonder if Lawrence will follow a similar trajectory.

Say it every week but what a talent Amass is.

Lapse in concentration gives Liverpool another goal.

Great performance and a thoroughly deserved win. :)

Better team in the first half and didn't deserve to go in behind. By far the better team in the second half and deserved a bigger winning margin.

The balance of the midfield three and Amass are the key to this side's success. Rare that we have a team that functions as well as this.

Credit to Wheatley for not only his performance but keeping his calm & not retaliating after what happened. Myself, and others I think, have been critical of his attitude at times but it was top notch tonight.

Amass, as always, an absolute joke & McAllister was very good too.

Kids are absolutely great. Midfield so dominant, looks like they will chop their legs on every ball. At the same time they play so fast, good passes with first touch from all players, killing teams with that.

Yeah, that's one of the things I'm especially enjoying about watching them. Our first team too often slow things down, even though they're far better whenever they do go quicker. It's so good to watch the directness and fast tempo of this group.

What a second half that was from our lot. Usual suspects all put in great performances again. This is a really enjoyable team to watch as the individual talent is multiplied by the fact they all play as a unit and play for each other. Great stuff from the coaching dept.

The right-side was my concern - Nolan had a very poor game but it was a tough player to be up against - and I also thought Missin was a shadow of the player he was at the start of the season.
Wheatley scored a cracker and then had some really poor finishes in much easier positions - but his overall game was very good.

Our 2 best players in my opinion was McAllister and Williams who both were average before the break but completely destroyed Liverpool after the break. McAllisters passing was sublime - and Williams was simply too much to handle for Liverpool.

Rewatched the highlights back and there’s absolutely no chance Wheatley was offside for his 2nd disallowed goal and the first one is very tight.
I think they correctly ruled it out because Jackson was offside and involved in the situation.

Nolan wasn’t helped by Missin and other players. Was outran in some occasions fair but there are a few incidents that he was left 1 vs. 2 alone

A good come back but again like the City game this was a second string u18 side in conparison to the Yoith cup side which beat Arsenal convincingly last week with 8 changes. We obviously have a strong squad but other sides only play their strongest side in the Youth cup.

No worries. I guess we'll just continue to beat everyone and develop players for our first team then.

Liverpool also doing well on that front at the minute tbf though their first team would be a tough side to get into given the two clubs respective levels at present.

Liverpool are the masters of getting credit for the bare minimum, they’d brought through 2 players in 9 years before this season, they’re appalling at youth development.
