Should be good news this then! Let’s hold Sir Jim to account and hope he works ethically to help get us back to the top.

Very happy I haven’t spent the last few years embarrassing myself begging for different owners.
Well done mate. We’re all proud of you.

Pleased it is finally done and very pleased it isn't the other lot. A good day for the club in my view. Possibly a sad day for the many, many posters who spent months deriding 'Brexit Jim RATclifffe' and ridiculing suggestions in The Times and elsewhere that Ineos might actually be winning their battle with the fake sheik. Now Ineos have their foot in the door at United, let's see what they can do. Onwards and, hopefully, upwards.

Google Ineos tweets. One of the first results is then using the same colour on an update about Nice and Lausanne. It may be their football branding. They do have a similar colour used on the Mercedes F1 air box as well.
Can a man not make an anagram joke and exist in a world where billionaires troll each other for more than one day?

I prefer my reality.

Shame it wasn’t a full sale with the debt being cleared but hopefully Jim knows what he is doing and it’s not another false dawn. I wanted Qatar but willing to get behind the new set up until they give reason not too. Bit weird that some of the pro Jim camp are still gloating and trying to score points though. He’s done nothing yet.

What will happen to him?

He gave me strong Michael Knighton vibes from the start. So see below.

We’ll end up in state ownership eventually, it’s why the Glazers negotiated a drag right over Ratcliffes shares. Qatar will probably come in again.
That’s only if you are convinced that the bidder was state-backed and not merely a Knighton-like fantasist.

Penny for Michael Knighton thoughts. He is the true hero who started all this with his hostile take over plans and calls for Sir Jim to get involved. We owe him a debt of gratitude. :wenger:
Indeed! The original and genuine one thwarted the fake Sheikh :)

I'm so happy about this. The early signs of the INEOS-reign are very positive. The staff they are recruiting seem to be highly regarded.

Two years ago it was only a wild dream, that we could hire competent executives, having an up and coming manager and having a part owner who seem to invest in the stadium. On top of it we already have three fantastic young players that I think are capable of being mainstays of a title winning team.

Maybe I am a bit too enthusiastic but it has been so long since I was feeling we are heading in the right direction.

Everyone's been begging for different owners of some type.

Basically we want to knock down your hotel mate
The cynic in me also thinks its no harm having a Sky sports presenter working with you when there are inevitable setbacks in your project.

I am not suggesting Neville doesnt have something to offer, but people these days have absolutely no tolerance/patience for setbacks and can only handle upward trajectory graphs, theres no room for bumps.

INEOs will make mistakes because everybody and every organisation makes mistakes. You can already see some numpties looking to have a pop at them with some of the things they are doing.

Makes sense to invite Gary into the discussions regarding the redevelopment of the area around Old Trafford.

Doubt he'll be happy to hear United have plans for their own hotel to go along with stadium plans.

Neville must be licking his lips at the regeneration around his hotel. Long term that’s surely going to benefit him.

I wonder if that will be enough for him to stop being an ABU cnut?

I don't get him being ABU. I think he's probably just one of those people. Like he'd be more critical of his kids than anyone elses kids.

I also assume he's only involved in this committee due to his hotel

He's building a skyscraper in Town. So he's quite clued up.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe said: “To become co-owner of Manchester United is a great honour and comes with great responsibility. This marks the completion of the transaction, but just the beginning of our journey to take Manchester United back to the top of English, European and world football, with world-class facilities for our fans. Work to achieve those objectives will accelerate from today.”
Its not exactly a "once more into the breach..." type speech, but it does stiffen the sinews and hopes to summon up the blood... of all United fans ;)

Makes sense. Sky Sports anti bias nonsense aside he seems to be quite switched on from a business/regional point of view so can only see the benefit in this.
(Plus Im sure Ineos invited multiple people to be part of said commitee.)

It’s not about being critical. He constantly dismisses clear fouls against us and penalty claims as “soft” and “nothing in that” and when it’s the opposite direction he creams himself with “he’s very lucky there” or “that’s a reckless challenge he should be in the book”.

He does everything he can to make it clear that he has no affinity with United whatsoever… unless he’s sitting down with his old team mates and reminiscing about the United he played for.
