If this means we avoid Europa and the Conference League, I’m good with this. We could do with a season where it’s just the 38 games plus the odd domestic cup game.
Disagree this squad needs young players getting first team experience and a new manager a Europa Cup with the new playing would be at least 10/12 games extra, plus we might have an actual chance of wining a trophy.

6th or 7th. Which should 100% get Hag the boot.

Agree with the general consensus here. 6th is most likely. Hopefully, with the changes made at the top, we stop wasting money on mediocre players and start recruiting players with more heart.

6th seems sensible.
We're way better than the lot below, and too inconsistent to live with the likes of Villa and Tottenham this year, as pathetic as that is to admit.

Fully in agreement with this.
I cannot for the life of me understand why some supporters feel certain competitions are beneath them.

United's standard at the moment is League Cup & Europa / Conference League, if that's where we are at, then lets at least win those competitions., and give our younger players experiences of playing in Europe and lifting silverware.

6th I think also.

I had a brief moment of optimism after Villa win but in reality we're not good enough to catch Spurs or Villa.

7th or 8th. Brighton, Newcastle are comfortably better if they can get over their injuries and we’re on par with Wolves.

City was always going to be the freebie we'll likely lose. But to lose at home to Fulham is one of those results so scandalously crap it just sucks all optimism out.

We're not 'way better' than anyone bar the bottom 3.

6th at the very best, but the way we go from OK to crap in a single match I wont be surprised, or disappointed given how we've been, if we finish 7th or 8th.

6th seems about right for us. I expect at least 3 or 4 more losses and a few pathetic draws.

It will be 6th. We will have enough to hold off the teams below us, but not enough to push up the table.

Dig up stupid!
With ETH 6th

If they bin him and appoint a bollockless interim 10th

If they bin him and get a genuine appointment for next season in right away the potentially as high as 4th is possible, villa are having a nice season but I'm not entirely convinced they'll be able to stay the course. Spurs are spurs. A new appointment could also drop to 10th too though if the squad don't take to him

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
We've got three teams below us that are close, and I think better teams than us on their day (Wolves, Newcastle & Brighton). If one or more get some good form together, which they could all feasibly do, then 7th or 8th is a possibility. They've all been a bit flaky recently though, so 6th looks likely.

Wouldn't rule out United pulling a Homer and somehow fall into 4th

Villa and Spurs more than capable of fecking things up for themselves.

Realistically 5th is the best we can hope for

Glasgow resident these days.
7th or 8th. We have too many injuries now and not one player in form. After a hammering at the weekend, I don't see where the next points will come from. At least no European football sees these cnuts get a pay cut and stops any mercenary type players coming for cash.

I'm pretty sure 7th or 8th will be Europa Conference now that Liverpool have won the League Cup?

It doesnt matter who the next manager is if he has to work with the same workshy, selfish, uncaring, whining group of players who saw off his/her 4 predecessors; until then we wont get anywhere City, Liverpool or Arsenal and will have a job staying above Fulham!

6th at best
Probably lower down though.
Looking at the remaining 12 league fixtures, we might only be able to win 4 or 5 of those matches.
Just look at who we‘re playing and where.

An optimistic 4th.
A pessimistic 7th.
What I would really like to see is us at least draw with City and beat Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle.

How long are we going to say that it's the players binning the managers?
We've gotten rid and brought in quite a few over the years.. results have always been about the same (garbage compared to the the SAF years).
