Anything to do with policing? Can't see what difference an hour would make mind.
    Televison coverage:
"City released a statement explaining why the kick-off time for the Etihad clash has been 'altered'.

It read: "City’s Premier League game against Manchester United at the Etihad has been altered for live television coverage."

Is there anything else on later on Sunday that might have clashed with this game?
What has angered me over the years is how inferior and scared we look v.s. them. In the years when we were the top dogs and they were utter shite the games were never like that, always fiery competitive games. I'm sick of the defeatist, cowardly, weak and insipid displays each and every time we face them.
It’s the same with our games against Liverpool. Even when they were shite and we were the best in the land, they still gave it their all.

Goal difference is a key metric at the moment in the title race so Guardiola is going to try and go all out and rout us.

This could be nasty. They’ll want to score plenty here to keep up with Arsenal and Liverpools GD. Arsenal have Sheff Utd so they’ll probs score another 5. Best we can pray for is a low scoreline

Would be more confident if Hojlund was playing.

Maybe if Rashford can turn up we can hold on but really we're a battered and bruised side just hanging on this season.

Probably the least equipped we've been going to Infinite Blackburn All stars

Such a weird thing to post
What are you posting this for? So odd
    :D

Odd in what way? The guy has scored 5 goals against us. It's a fact.
It was posted by Official Premier League account.

Or before we post anything in this forum, we need to ask for permission from @Utd heap and @sepulturite ?

Or is it because it shows how poor we are? We need to confront the reality as it is, finding a escapism in how poor we are will only make us not see where the problem is.

Even the Club Owner, Ratcliffe, is trying to copy City. It's nothing odd or suspicious. Don't have a big ego while you're poor in what you do.

Just watched Pep's pre-match interview, it was really all about United and Ratcliffe and what he thinks, he said from the off that he has nothing to say about it but they kept on. He kept his composure though.

    I'm thinking a 3-0 City win.
    I'm wondering if we shouldn't do a 442
    Onana
    Dalot Varane Lindelof Amrabat
    McTominay Mainoo Casameiro
    Bruno
    Garnacho Rasford

if amrabat is at LB it will be a guaranteed win for City. They will absolutely eat him alive.

Could be worse. We could go into a 2-0 lead and end up losing 3-2.

Negative; 6-0 in coming with Maguire to aid them with at least 3 goals, Varane to go off injured after 10mins, Onana Howler incoming, Casemiro red card, Lindëlof looking out of his depth.

Positive; Mainoo to play like prime Scholesy.

I don't expect nothing other than that off this game.
    Maguire is out

Don’t play a 9. Play McT false 9. Have him drop into the midfield which should be cas - Mainoo - Amrabat. Bruno wide right dropping in, Rashford left. When breaking McT should try and get in there

keep the score down 5-0 to city

It has been mentioned by pundits and in a couple of other places on this board but we do have options to playing this game that give us some chance.

Dropping an extra body into midfield and going with 2 wide attackers playing on the break is something that has been effective for us before. We do have pace in wide areas and for all of his flaws Bruno is as good as it gets when it comes to picking out a long pass on the counter.

What we absolutely cannot do is continue to leave the middle of the park deserted. I hate to agree with Carragher but we either need to press with a high line or sit deep and counter instead of trying to do both at the same time. Considering the opposition it will be sitting deep and playing on the counter for this one.

    Onana

    Dalot Varane Evans Lindelof

    Mainoo Case Amrabat

    Bruno

    Garnacho Rashford

Don't love the Lindelof selection but really cannot think of a viable alternative and with 3 defensively minded players sat in the middle it ought to be possible to give him some protection. Still would need a large slice of luck and a poor performance from 115 but at least we should be solid enough not to be blown away if eveyone does their jobs.

Cmon guys..all this talk about false 9s and shoring up the midfield, hes most likely going going to stick to the same formation and tactics, the one that means we have no midfield for most of the match. it seems like carragher and co pointing out the absurdity of this way is just going to entrench his way even more. I'd be delighted to proven wrong.

This makes sense. Defend for our lives Amrabat to help out Lindelof against Foden and you can squint and maybe see Mainoo or Bruno finding a through ball for the speedy pair up top. Could also be McTominay as the #10, Bruno up top and hope it's 0-0 after an hour and bring on Rashford or Garnacho in hope of them doing something on the break against tiring City defenders.

    My ideal team:
    Onana
    Lindelof Varane Evans
    Dalot Mainoo Amrabat Casemiro Garnacho
    Mctom
    Rashford
    3-5-1-1

Bruno is a disaster in most games these days but especially in games when you need someone with composure. So I would not play him. This line-up would keep City to 3 goals at most and might even get one on the counter.

The line-up Ten Hag will play:
    Onana
    Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof/Amrabat
    Mainoo, Casemiro/Mctom
    Antony/Mctom, Bruno, Garnacho
    Rashford

With this line-up, its up to City how many they want to score.

In December we went into the game at Anfield discussing whether we'd take a 2-0 loss and we ended up putting in a surprisingly resilient performance. I know we didn't have Shaw and Hojlund out injured for that one, but part of me thinks we could get a score draw here. Garnacho and Rashford will get chances vs City's high line.

Should be a very comfortable 3 or 4 nil win for City, but strange things can happen in football. Nobody in the world expects us to get anything (including me) so it is a bit of a free hit in that sense. I think we'd probably keep the score down if, as as been suggested elsewhere here, we went with a 5-3-1-1/5-3-2 shape and tried to pack the central areas to stop them playing through us. That's not what we will do, of course.

Plenty of teams came to old Trafford with no hope or expectations when we were at our best throughout the 90s and 2000's.

Some came away with points after hitting the target once and their keeper having the best game of their career.

But that's basically what it is. Sheer bloody hope. Id be surprised if we pulled a tactical masterclass that frustrated them. Just hope for an off day from them and we hit the target.

Sad stance for a derby but there we are.
