It looks good but maybe one I’d wait to get on PS Plus or a huge sale as im a bit wary of the grind / difficulty curve. Its a rogue like isn’t it ?

Officially the best poker player on RAWK.
I was talking about it on here at launch, It's a brilliant game and they are constantly doing good updates. It's definitely not an arcade button masher, but it's not as hard as it seems once you get the flow down.

Reminds me to go back to it.

My favorite game of the past few years. Went back to it to play the DLC a few months back and fell in love all over again. It's difficult, but in a very fair way. Once you master ir you can beat it without dying almost blindfolded.

Though some of the dlc stages are insane.

Hell yes. One of my favourite PS4/5 games bar none.

I'm a huge sucker for martial arts stuff though. However, the game is brilliant. It's also very difficult.
Was on my to do list. Does it have difficulty options?

It does, but the "easiest" difficulty is hardly easy.
That’s fine. I enjoy difficult games like DS, Sekiro etc as long as they’re well made. But it’s the rogue like mechanic (which I’m not very used to) that scares me a so that in tandem with a very high difficulty is more daunting.

Nah, you'll be fine with it. I think you may even love the setting and idea from the off so will adapt to it quickly.

It's hard to compare it to those games you mention, but if I had to I'd say it's like going to Sekiro after playing soulsbourne games...It's a different kind of difficulty, but it's not unfair. It's more about the gameplay and style.

BTW Sifu is incredibly well made. When the first videos emerged of it and the promises, everyone was skeptical. But they absolutely smashed it out of the park, easily one of the best overlooked games of the past few years and it still bugs me that the "difficult" tag people/reviewers gave the game held it back. Honestly, it's really not that hard nor scary, and the rougelike elements you aren't used to don't really play that huge a part in a way that should put you off. It's more about clicking with the setting and what the game is trying to do differently, much like Sekiro, and if you do that then the gameplay really falls into place.

Been playing this a bit. Difficulty I find way harder than Sekiro. Massive learning curve just at the 2nd boss right away. Get through the entire level without dying starting at mid 20's and then get game-overed by the boss. Though the game makes me want to play Sekiro again... Never did manage to finish that game, got to the last boss fight and couldn't get past him

That's where I am with Sifu. The rest of the game hasn't been too much trouble, but the last boss utterly destroys me. Can't even get to his second phase because he's so hard to land a hit on

It's a great game though. The museum level is amazing
