Just no more McTom.This may be ETH's last game if we get beaten. No chance of top four, so why wait until the end of the season to ditch him?. Maybe Brailsford may let him stay and play with a fully fit team in April/May to see how they do as, to be fair, ETH hasn't had that luxury. Unlike City, we haven't a strong bench due to catastrophic blunders by the board over the years. Scousers have blooded a few youngsters, so perhaps we should too.
de Zerbi might be available sooner after de Rossi finishes with BHA.

Bad time to sack him. No talented managers available at the mo. Think we’ll just plod on and hope we get a lot of our injured players back in the next few weeks to have a push for Europa Conference.The City Loss took away all the excitement, mentally check out, couldn't careless.Everton is a good team so this should be a fun game.

if we've no top 4 after losing tomorrow, and the next permanent manager isnt available right now, i dont really see the point in sacking him. see how this very disappointing season and have the replacement lined up.
If they're dead set on somebody like potter, then yeah, maybe bring him in sooner, though you risk introducing him to a horrible set up. (im not keen on potter for the record.)
Overall though, Im ten hag in until end of season and take stock then. If we finish reasonably strong and won the fa cup for example, it would be hard to justify not giving him more time

Everton Football Club (nicknamed The Toffees and The Blues) are a professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Everton were founded as St Domingo FC in 1878 so that members of the congregation of St Domingo Methodist New Connexion Chapel in Breckfield Road North, Everton could play sport year round – cricket was played in summer. The club's first game was a 1–0 victory over Everton Church Club. The club was renamed Everton in November 1879 after the local area, as people outside the congregation wished to participate. The club was a founding member of the Football League in 1888–89 and won their first League Championship title in the 1890–91 season. Everton won the FA Cup for the first time in 1906 and the League Championship again in 1914–15. The outbreak of the First World War in 1914 interrupted the football programme while Everton were champions, which was something that would again occur in 1939.

In 1927–28, Dean set the record for top-flight league goals in a single season with 60 goals in 39 league games, which is a record that still stands. He helped Everton win their third League Championship that season. Everton's second successful era started when Harry Catterick was made manager in 1961. In 1962–63, his second season in charge, Everton won the League Championship. In 1966 the club won the FA Cup with a 3–2 win over Sheffield Wednesday. Everton again reached the final in 1968, but this time were unable to overcome West Bromwich Albion at Wembley. Two seasons later in 1969–70, Everton won the League Championship, finishing nine points clear of nearest rivals Leeds United. During this period, Everton were the first English club to achieve five consecutive years in European competitions – covering the seasons from 1961–62 to 1966–67. Howard Kendall took over as manager and guided Everton to their most successful era. Domestically, Everton won the FA Cup in 1984 and two League Championships in 1984–85 and 1986–87. In Europe, the club won its first, and so far only, European trophy by securing the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985.
All in all, Everton have won 15 major trophies: the League Championship nine times (fourth most as of 2017–18), the FA Cup five times (ninth most) and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup once. The club have also competed in the top division for a record 114 seasons, missing the top division only four times (1930–31 and three consecutive seasons starting with 1951–52). Everton have play their homes games at Goodison Park since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. Their biggest rivals are neighbors Liverpool, against whom they contest the Merseryside Derby.

What about "there definitely isn't" do our fans not understand? You can question letting Fernandez and Reguilon go in Jan if you like, but it's done, and now our only good LB talents are 16 and not ready for a baptism of fire in the first team. If you think watching an experienced international team captain CB play out of position at LB is harrowing, I'm sure you'd love watching Kambwala or another inexperienced not-LB playing out of position there.It's the loss to Fulham that has killed the season. People still have hopes for top4, which I find odd considering wed have to have a massive improvement in performances.Tomorrow will be interesting.
Nightmare results in matches like this (and Fulham) will be the end of ten Hag. Way more pressure on him tomorrow than there was against City.
Strange post seeing as that was his 1st start in a while and he was far from the biggest problem last SundayThe two teams aren't really that far removed from each other. Everton defend fairly well, but lack any quality whatsoever in the final third and struggle to hit the broadside of a barn. Gueye looks to be out for them as well, so it should make the job easier.

We were expecting to lose to City but not to Fulham at homeThis one's happening at 7:30am in my neck of the woods, and at this point it's hard to justify setting an alarm to watch this squad.Where the goals coming from? Everton can’t score for toffee and we couldn’t score in a brothel. It’s going to be another wank United performance whilst been overrun in midfield. Can’t wait.

Well if he does go and Brailsford doesn't factor in the injury crisis, Zidane or Conte seem OK managers. De Zebri at Brighton is touted as the saviour but Brighton seem to be fading. If they did join, they could start the rebuild and be ready for the start of next season, this season is finished for us anyway. Ten games left after tomorrow, better than joining with 10 weeks or so after the season finishes.There will be tours and the like happening before the next season starts in mid-August.

The problem with some of these managers like Potter and De Zerbi is that they're ok at managing second rated teams who play very defensively and counter attack but when it comes to managing the top teams it's a different kind of mentality they have to have and that's when they find it so difficult to be successful.So sounds like Evans and Rashford will be fit. Same team as last week?

If we win and Spurs don't, we'll move to within four points of them at worst. We still might not get CL, but we'll stay in the hunt, wheras if we lose its definitely over.
Have you ever watched a Potter or De Zerbi team? Their whole appeal is that they don't sit back on the counter but rather take the game to the opposition and play like a top team despite not having top players. I'm not saying we should hire them, but that is not the reason they're not good enough for the top level.- Status
