Must admit I’m a bit surprised with all these calls for a draw as I thought you would want to stall City more than anything.

Mostly because we are more likely to drop points than them, imo.

This has been the case all season but haven't happened. So most would take the one scenario we remain on top.

Draw / Liverpool win / City win. In that order. But much prefer a draw. There’s only 10 games to go after tomorrow. I feel like you guys may very well ride this Klopp swansong wave all the way to the title.

I'm not sure about that, it feels ordained that you'll win it this year tbh (this is just a comment on fate/narrative not referees etc)

We generally speaking finish strongly under Klopp. Even in 2020/21 and last season when we were rubbish, we finished the last 10 games strongly.

We typically drop points in the first or second third of a season.

A draw but City losing could be big because i think there's a bigger chance Liverpool drop points with their injuries
They're getting players back rapidly now. The time they should have dropped points has gone.

Yeah this is true. City need to win tomorrow more than we do imo.

Our next league game is after the international break at home to Brighton (when City and Arsenal play). By then TAA, Jones and Alisson will be fit, with Jota a week or two behind them.

I'd think draw best followed by a Pool win as City will do what City do and win a lot of games until the end of the season.

Pool have gotten lucky with recent wins and won't go the distance, fancy them for 3rd actually.
Recent? it's regular for Liverpool to win in that manner, a lucky side with lucky general who's thankfully departing after this season

All sides have a relatively same degree of difficulty in their remaining schedules. If I was betting on it I would just trust City to get through it more unscathed than Pool or us.

Ill just take a brawl. Don't want injuries especially Pool because they are already short. We will just hear how lucky we were otherwise if by any chance we do win.
If you win, you should probably spend all summer celebrating with other Arsenal fans. Not come here arguing that your team should be considered one of the greatest PL teams and luck didn't have anything to do with your win.

That’s true. I just feel City are more likely to go on a winning streak than us.

Although we are of course starting to get injured players back and Klopp who you would think is as motivated as ever.

Not true

Liverpool > City > Arsenal in terms of difficulty
On paper predictions and what actually transpires are often bizarrely different towards end of the season.
The relegation battlers become tough to beat as they will fight tooth and nails to stay up.
The easier teams to deal with are more often the mid-tabler who has nothing to contend for.
They tend to just coast and try to get to next season with least damage possible and try to go again.

Draw if possible
But what we actually need is a Rodri red card.
No red cards unless it’s someone’s second yellow. And there will be plenty of yellows tomorrow as both teams draw fouls with the high level of competition and talent unlike any other match in the league.

Just seen that Arse's last 2 fixtures are against us and Everton.

Should we and Everton throw the games if Arse are still in the title race? :nervous:

Yep I'd play our weakest team possible. Which at this present time is our first team.

I actually want a City win. Liverpool have the easiest run in and the refs will probably allow them to win every remaining game. City, we still have to play and on our form we should be able to beat them. They also have trickier fixtures left.

Well I do want Arsenal to win it before Liverpool or City but kinda feel they'll start dropping points from April like last season.

Feel that could be the case too. We do have a bit more experience and a little more depth, but we do seem capable of going into a rut. Hope the lads keep their heads up...Two big games coming up, and we need to get through them both.

Thing is - recently you've won all these games at home and away with results like 6:0, 5:0 etc. but that actually makes me less confident about your chances for title  good thing is your players now have experience from last year's title race and as you say there's little more depth.

I sincerely hope we're not in a position where a win against them hands the scouse cnuts the title. Would be the one time we'd click
If they beat City, it'll be plain sailing for them. We can click all we want. Won't lay a glove on them.

Would have preferred a Liverpool win but a draw is fine by me.

I thought that was the weakest City side to turn up at Anfield in a while.

Meanwhile we’re peaking at the exact right time…

Arsenal come to Old Trafford 2nd to last game which is a big boost for them, as at that point United's season will be over and the players will be in "let's get the manager sacked" mode. We'll probably lose our last 5 or 6 games like we always do when the players have decided a manager is gone. Easy 3-0 for Arsenal.
