Poor all over today
But Bruno and Rashford are a real problem for the club. Will not get any better when these are constant starters.

Indescribably poor. Absolutely nothing to take from that, not a single outfield performance worth commending. Not even the goal, was nothing special just Brentford probably bored and blowing a bit from taking the whole match to us.

That was tactically fecking atrocious. If our wingers don’t play well then we basically have no plan.

Our press is somehow both half arsed and over committed. It takes two simple passes to play through it and they then have absolute acres in behind us.
Yes and I’ll add our wingers are only capable of playing well when in transition. They actually have no capability relevant to breaking down a low block.

Our press today was borderline suicidal. Their keeper was extremely good with his feet, must say. But even if he weren’t, our press still wouldn’t have worked.

I've aged at least 10 years watching that consistently inconsistent and utterly frustrating group of United players in action. Need to stop and kidding ourselves the Champions league talk, played in the champions league this season and finished bottom that group of players are Europa league level max and improvement isn't going to be seen until a clear out happens.

Any replay of that red card check on the Brentford player? Sky failed to show any replay despite play being stopped for a while.

From cut-back goals to conceding shots for fun, it was a full house in United bingo tonight.
It was their fecking CB on the end of the cutback as well. Just completely unmarked in the centre of the penalty area...

How the hell do we concede so many chances against poor opposition. Game after game the struggling teams break all records smashing shots at us And ETH seems helpless to correct it.
The usual dismal performance that we have gotten so used to this season.
5- 1 to Brentford was a fairer reflection on that game.

The only positives today Onana was excellent And mounts goal.
Someone needs to tell him stubborn is not a positive thing.

He has persisted with this one man midfield shape all system and we have been dominated in every single game.

Nothing left to be said really is there? Just delete the euphoria of 2 weeks ago and you realise we're still where we were. Going nowhere.
If they’d have gone out to Liverpool, there’s no doubt Erik would be gone ahead of next season.

Getting to the FA Cup final may save him, but Christ.. what a disgusting season it’s been

Absolute garbage all over the pitch. Sad thing is it was expected. I had no confidence we would turn up, especially after Spurs and Villa winning. Absolute bottle jobs and EtH needs a good long look at himself. I’m fuming at that display.

Maybe EtH could have tried Dalot on the left. AWB on the left works only if you are trying to contain or mark out a player like Salah. Otherwise you make it too easy for the opposition to know you have no attacking capabilities down the left.
This is seriously a wrong take of the situation. Firstly, you don't change position of one of your better player for a lesser player. Secondly, in Liv game, dangerous player for them was Diaz, therefore insistence of Dalot's on him. Diaz was the best player when they played against Man City.

United: 23 sideway passes while jogging slowly towards the beekeepers goal.
Brentford: 3-4 passes while running at full speed and hitting every part of our goalframe.

Embarrassing.

On a note: Why the feck did he not put Eriksen on the pitch to gain some control in the 2nd half.

We are heading for Conference league.
I hope so. Then whoever is manager next season will be almost forced to use that in the correct manner, as practice for the fringe players and youths, moulding a style of play befitting United, while focusing on the league.

Europa League is such a disadvantage.

We’ve had some shit managers post Fergie, but Moyes, Rangnick and Ten Hag have their own special hall of shame.

I wonder where we would be now if we had just stuck with Van Gaal for the last 7 years or so. I’d venture absolutely no worse off.

Find it astonishing you can come off a massive cup win and play like that.

Only positive was mount and the back four.
Back four? AWB went awol, and Linde, Maguire and Licha tried to set up a dozen chances for Brentford.

Really bad.. it’s a common occurrence with our team for years though, have a great result and follow it up with dross.
I thought we might get a late goal but to be honest I wasn’t surprised when we conceded immediately after.
Would have been the biggest smash and grab in history if we won.
I can’t think of one stand out player. Maybe Maguire or Varane.

Red Card for Casemiro!
In many ways this was a regression from the 4-0 . In that game they only managed 13 shots on goal.
Exactly. Felt like we had a terrible half hour, and then picked up our game afterwards. Today, we were outplayed completely throughout the game, even after bringing on Maguire, Casemiro, Licha, and Mount off the bench.

The most annoying thing about that equalizer might be, that we don't get to see what kind of interview Thomas Frank would have given if we'd won that game. He would have been in some kind of manic state.

3 of our starting attacking 4 are pure transition players - sorry but Garnacho is limited for now.

We can’t play against defensive, counter-attacking sides.

Unfortunately I think that’s top 5 done and that ETH has finished making his bed today.

What tactics? What was our plan? Seriously...what is EtH asking from them in and out of possession because there's absolutely nothing.

As you say, even the press is baffling. Its always half-hearted and at least one man short.

Atrocious display. Even a draw is unfair to Brentford. Every aspect of football is lacking. We have no plan of attack at all. When you are being dominated in possession, the goal should be to maximize the times you do have the ball. But we keep hoofing it towards people who can't win headers. We lose the ball and then another attack comes. It's nonsensical.

Our pressing strategy is to over-commit so that the midfield is a chasm. Even in the goal we conceded, how is a player completely unmarked inside the area near the penalty spot? We just think if we put a player around the ball carrier they will shit themselves trying to bypass the press because we are incapable of doing it. Newsflash, nearly every team is better at stringing passes together than we are.
It's horrible to watch.

We basically have one game to look forward to this season, and that's against Coventry City. What a gigantic waste of months.

Unlikely. 5th place will probably get CL and the league will get an additional EL spot unless Chelsea or Coventry win the FA Cup. Which would mean we'd have to finish 8th or below to not make it into the EL.

Even a 2-0 Brentford win would have been unfair. We were battered all game from pillar to post.
Yeah I think we should be on a worse GD than Brentford after tonight! As it is, we're still on zero. Wonder if we'll finish the season with a positive GD?

Not just shades, but full-blown replica of Liverpool away without the goals conceded. With added sprinkles of Olympiacos away

Nearly the absolute scams of all scams, and the feckers still messed it up.

Absolutely awful though. No excuses for performances like that.

We are a very very long way from focusing on the league.
