I definitely don't want Southgate but I also doubt he'd have us playing worse.
If Utd were 12/13th it wouldn't be unfair based on performances. Really been quite terrible for the majority of most games. Our underlying metrics are all awful.
I don't think some realize just how abysmal we've been this season.
ETH's management this season is deplorable in so many ways. If you swapped him with Moyes, I highly doubt we'd be worse off. That's how bad he's been this season.
That performance might have been the single worst performance in the post SAF era. It was that bad.
What do you expect him to say? People shat on Tuchel for conceding the title earlier todayHe actually believes we can catch spurs and villa
Well we still haven't seen his United team with De Jong though. He is going to solve all our problems, we just need to try harder in the summer to get ETH what he wants.Putting a bit of perspective onto things
- ETH has been at United for 23 months now
- Spent a big amount of money
- Had 9/11 starters starting today
- played one of the worst teams in the league, arguably the worst on form and got our backside kicked
- 0 goal difference after 29 games , 40 goals
- 8 points off 5th
- 4th in the group in CL
We have no real style, are one of the most lethargic teams in the league
please tell me one good reason to keep him
Well whose job is it to make sure that isn't the case?I still think he’s a great coach. What we saw at Ajax was everything we wanted, he ticked every box.
Yet currently we’re playing like a bunch of individuals that met for the first time in the tunnel.
That’s my point.Well whose job is it to make sure that isn't the case?
Ole's lack of plan was better than the ETH lack of plan.I think it’s mental that people want to keep him because they are worried about who would replace him.
Id rather have Ole back and supported by INEOS than persist with Ten Hag.
He took over an Ajax team that missed out on the league by one point. It's not as if they were miles of it. He won the league with Ajax, but it's the Eredivisie and it's Ajax.I still think he’s a great coach. What we saw at Ajax was everything we wanted, he ticked every box.

If it’s “just Ajax” and they win it every year, just remind me where they are right now?He took over an Ajax team that missed out on the league by one point. It's not as if they were miles of it. He won the league with Ajax, but it's the Eredivisie and it's Ajax.
His clout largely comes from a singular CL run - where he lost to fecking Spurs. No evidence of this so called "great coach" at United.
This guy is one of the biggest myths around man.
Tuchel was right though. You’ve got to be realistic. Otherwise people start to think you’re going insane. What do you expect him to say? People shat on Tuchel for conceding the title earlier today
Does he think it goes down to 6th or something?ETH thinks this could be a "very good point in the end". Still thinks we're chasing a CL spot
You definitely have to be realistic.Tuchel was right though. You’ve got to be realistic. Otherwise people start to think you’re going insane.
Right, the same Ajax that sold the core of the title winning team? Are you OK?If it’s “just Ajax” and they win it every year, just remind me where they are right now?
Let’s not downplay what he did there. Everyone was rubbing themselves silly when he arrived.
What's he saying ?Robbie Mustoe not holding back there after Ten Hag’s press appearance
I've thought that too.Our underlying metrics are all awful.
I don't think some realize just how abysmal we've been this season.

Fair enough mate, full disclosure I'm a bit pissed. That’s my point.
That's because we'd tried the "legendary" manager approach of Van Gaal and Mourinho, the ex player legend, Ole and the "pick a geezer the same nationality as your all time legend manager and hope they're somehow as good for some reason" approach. If it’s “just Ajax” and they win it every year, just remind me where they are right now?

It's actually funny how bad this is. No defence of that sort of game plan really. I was wondering when he'd do something, even putting McT in a two with Hojlund up top and going long would have even positive. Just SOMETHING to change the dynamic.Tweet

I dunno. When you’ve got players who don’t look arsed already, I feel like telling them they’ve got nothing to play for isn’t the best ideaTuchel was right though. You’ve got to be realistic. Otherwise people start to think you’re going insane.
They lost a number of players last year, not just EtH.If it’s “just Ajax” and they win it every year, just remind me where they are right now?

I think this is probably correct. It seems clear it isn’t going to work out for him, but to say Ten Hag is a shit coach and has always been a shit coach is mad. That's because we'd tried the "legendary" manager approach of Van Gaal and Mourinho, the ex player legend, Ole and the "pick a geezer the same nationality as your all time legend manager and hope they're somehow as good for some reason" approach.
Everyone wanted us to go for the exciting potential worldly upcoming option, not the stale Poch type route.
It was the right decision, just hasn't worked beyond a couple of purple patches.
From day 1 v Wolves we were utterly annihilated through the centre of the pitch and run off it like we were Sunday league versus Olympians. Our underlying metrics are all awful.
I don't think some realize just how abysmal we've been this season.

You mean like they did the season before he got there? They also got picked apart in 2017.Right, the same Ajax that sold the core of the title winning team? Are you OK?
He seemed to have gambled on the Casemiro-Mount-Bruno triple from day 1.His biggest mistake I think is not switching to a more solid formation earlier in the season. I think the tactics he wants to implement can be done but only with specific types of players e.g. De Jongs etc. We just don't have those players in all the positions and especially not when we have so many injuries. I think he probably should have reverted to a more compact version of last season's tactics until we got specifically the likes of Martinez and Mount back.
Regardless of how well he did there, he is doing a really poor job this season. The pl is a completely different level to the eredivisieIf it’s “just Ajax” and they win it every year, just remind me where they are right now?
