Especially the one with AWB on the overlap and 2 on 1 situation. The guys a fecking idiot.
Yeah that’s actually one, today, that made me shout out in anger . Now granted attacking play isn’t AWB strong point. But he’s made the overlap, was in a great position the logical continuation of the move is to play him in then hopefully he cuts it back or does whatever the right thing would have been once he got the ball.

Good week, average week, Abysmal week just about sums up United this season under ETH, he clearly doesn’t understand the PL and probably never will. United need to be doing dudiligence right now and go after Naigelsman who really could build a young hungry squad that competes for the first ball.

ETH fans, if we do keep him, we will be having the same conversation in November 2024 after he’s lost 6 out of the first 12 games. Let’s be clear here he’s had 67 PL games and his teams have scored 1.46 goals per game, we need a front foot attacking coach like Naigelsman who gets his teams scoring 2 goals per game.

United need to.be scoring goals and making it much harder for teams to score against us.

Amazingly we hit 357 to their 264 accurate passes. We also had 53% of the possession, but still conceded 85 to 16 touches in the opposition penalty area. Sideways and backward passing obviously doesn't get you anywhere.
Just goes to show, that stats can be just as useless at painting a true picture, as they can be helpful.
There’s only one stat that counts when describing this match.
We we’re SHITE !

It was their fecking CB on the end of the cutback as well. Just completely unmarked in the centre of the penalty area...
A good solid DM should In theory be there to cut out a lot of those cut backs. It is an absolutely essential signing. Also we can’t hope to dominate teams when we have too many lightweight and low workrate players. I really think Garnacho is better on the left too.

Any coincidence to being outplayed continuously in games when McTominlay starts in midfield, he is absolutely dire in that position. His forte is coming on with 15 minutes to go and playing behind Hojlund, other than that he is a walking ( and I mean walking ) disaster.

AWB is so one dimensional and Rashford is no dimensional. Can’t believe the set up and that’s coaching and surely it’s obvious you can’t play EPL without legs in the midfield, can’t believe the signings made since ETH has been here have no dynamic playmakers, such a waste at this club. Someone needs to be in charge with a clue about football in the 2020s.

Should've lost, could've won in the end. Only watched last 20 minutes or so but from what I saw (and all the relevant stats) we didn't deserve anything so it's not a bad result.

Basically happy for Mount and that's it. Another poor performance that again showed we can't control games, we get dominated too often and concede far too many shots almost every game. We aren't missing many players atm either. It's just poor.

Also in 21/22 they dominated us in 1st half before he improved in 2nd and won it (think it was Greenwood's last game for United where he scored and assisted).

We were allowing-80-touches-inside-the-penalty-area-against-relegation-candidates-bad. Which is rather suboptimal, even for us.

The annoyance of conceding straight after what should have been the winner has subsided. The reality is we never ever should have taken anything from that game. And it’s not the cliches “great teams find a way to win” - we were just rubbish and have been far too often. Patience is wearing thin.

85 touches in our penalty area… we had 16
31 shots vs our 16
xG 3.11 - .51
Eye test: absolute trash
No formation changes or tactical changes the entire match.

I’d actually be surprised if Ten Hag is still the manager come Monday. We were so inept in the attack it was comical. Not absolving the players of blame either, but Mainoo was completely alone in the midfield. We have no high press AND we have no midfield. We can’t break a high press either.

Final nail is that we were completely outplayed by a side that is 15th in the table.

How bad were we?
  • Brentford (85) became just the third side on record (since 2008-09) to have 80+ touches in the oppositions box in a Premier League game after Man City vs Southampton in November 2019 and Man City vs Norwich in July 2020 (87 in both matches).
  • Brentford had 31 shots in this game (scoring with their 31st and final attempt), their highest total in a Premier League match, while on record (since 2003-04) there are only three instances of Man Utd facing more shots in a single Premier League match.
  • Brentford hit the woodwork four times this evening with only Brighton (5) vs Man Utd in September 2020 doing so more in a Premier League game on record.
Other than that, not too bad.

We had most possession, although I think that was mainly down to how many goal kicks Onana had to take.

He'll be the manager come May, don't bother about Monday. No chance they sack him before season ends, until our results become embarassing like under Ole towards the end. Think given the fact we've got players like Hojlund and Martinez returning from injuries, we can have decent end to the season. Finish 6th (so stay in current place) which is enough for ten Hag to survive until season's finished. Is it enough for him to get another season? I hope not but don't like the rumours that have been spreading lately.

This team is shit, let’s just face it.
I’d like to hold on to Manoo and Garnacho, but the rest could leave this summer and I couldn’t care less. Rashford and ETH should not be allowed to finish the season, sack the fraud and put the overpaid cnut in the reserves for the rest of the season and ship him to PSG or QPR in the summer.
Brentford are 16th and we got outplayed for 90 minutes and the dutch fraud had no answers, I’m sick of this shit!

It’s performances like this which is why I’m losing faith in ETH. We got absolutely dominated by a team near the relegation zone & we would have had no complaints whatsoever if the result finished in the same scoreline as it did last season down at that place.

We looked disjointed, slow, and apathetic and like that, we were fortunate to avoid defeat. We got a draw without getting out of first gear but isn't that often how it is after an international break for us? We still are not playing like a team that is coached. Too many misplaced passes, square balls, and pussyfooting around the opposition penalty area. We didn't lose but unless Villa and Tottenham collapse, we will not get CL football. Better no European games next season so we can bed in the summer acquisitions and concentrate on the league.

Despite their late equalizer (which was so hilariously on point for us conceding minutes after scoring), it would've been daylight robbery if we got away with 3 points there.

Wholly uninspiring stuff. We ought to be looking for a serious replacement to ETH even if he isn't sacked until end of season.

And so after the heroics against Liverpool we revert to being crap; and to me this comes as no surprise because we have players who seem to think that any expectation that they might produce two great performances one after the other is unfair and wrong; "we ran our guts out v Liverpool, what more do you want?" seems to me to be the ongoing story with this group of players. Well, what I want is for them to at least show some spirit and fight in EVERY game, not just big games but time after time this season we've seen them stroll through games, throwing away leads and virtually not giving a shit, and this is simply not good enough and I for one have had enough. Im a Manchester United supporter, always have been and always will be but the majority of the players we have today are not worthy of wearing our shirt, and most never will be. CRAP!

I've been on a CAF a long time lurking and as a member but first time seeing someone post like this in reaction to a match.

Jeez, this game must have been utter shite. Happy I didn't tune in to watch it LIVE.

31 shots from Brentford :houllier:

This is a common occurrence in many of our matches - we give the opposition a shedload of chances. We've been lucky that a lot of teams haven't been clinical against us. We're gonna get absolutely routed (again) one of these matches :(
But according to pro ETH fans whats important is we win, until we dont. The amount of chances we give every opponent is fecking criminal. Even a L2 side like Newport had 10+shots against us like wtf. Some people here just cannot truly grasp the concept of sustainable winning. Conceding 10+shots every match (im sure the average is even more) while your midfield being as open as red sea during moses time dont count as one.

I see this as well. One good performance and the media/pr tour begins. Small time attitude with inconsistent players who are treated as world beaters for doing the minimum. Why would they strive for more when being this way gets you rewarded at this club. If your standards are in the toilet don't be surprised when you keep seeing turds.
