Have FH and bench boost but got absolutely no idea how to approach this run in.

I think FH34, while using all other FTs to prepare for BB37, is my most likely option. I wildcarded in 28 though ahead of the Luton/Bournemouth DGW shitfest, so I think taking a few hits now to get into a better position for 35/36/37 is required.

Luckily had a good week with 74 and I'm now just outside top 20k. A few hits feels a bit like undoing that good work, but possibly worth it to get rid of the dross and flagged players.

FFS. I thought the values worked in 0.2's?

I had Twatkins at 8.7. He was 9.0 real value. He went down to 8.9 but it's 8.6 on my team?

Have they changed the rules? I fecking hate this game.
This is how it goes in my understanding.

For every price rise of 0.2, you get 0.1 (so if someone rises 0.1m, you get nothing yet) in your squad.

So if you've had a player a long time and he's risen a lot (e.g., Salah and Watkins), and you sell and buy back you stand to make a 50% loss on the change in price. In other words, if you owned Salah at 12.5 and he's now at 13.2, that's only 300k in your bank but costs you 700k to rebuy.

West Ham, Forest and Newcastle concede for fun. If you're playing FH in GW34 then no Spurs that week is not an issue.

Then there's 4 weeks left and Spurs have 6 games to play, so that's 2x doubles in the last 4 game weeks, which also includes Burnley and Sheffield United.

That's the reason I'm reluctant to sell Spurs assets.

My mistake of not buying Palmer before he rose in price really fecked me and I'll have to take a -4 within the next two GW's to bring in Haaland after the Villa game, unless the yeti drops in price (or Solanke).
You think I’ve still got chips left?

Im in “free transfers only” mode to the end of the season. I can’t roll three Spurs players through blank/two hard games… will tfr 1-2 out, then back in for easier games.

You only got 50 % of the profit, rounded down. You likely got him at 8.4, meaning at 9.0 current price (0.6 profit) you'd be able to sell him for 8.7. When he drops to 8.9 your profit drops to 0.5 meaning your sell price is 8.6.

You can see the purchased price on Transfers > List view.

I've had him all season at 8.0. At 9.0 I could sell him for 8.5. But at 8.9 I only get 8.4.

Are cup points calculated differently? I got 60 points this past weekend, but in my cup result it says I got 56 in the Red Cafe Cup.

Still scraped through after a 56-56 draw due to conceding fewer goals apparently.

Should have been a few more but I made a bad choice in benching Gabriel. Didn't fancy double Arsenal defence away at City, plus he was down as 75% likely to play, thought he might end up on the bench and possibly come on for a 1 pointer or similar.

Edit: Oh shit, I took a -4 hit. The headline figure of 60 on my points page doesn't include that which is a bit misleading in my opinion. Nevermind!

Thought it might be something to do with BPS not counting at first.

I run a manual cup in my work league and it's essential to take the hits away or otherwise you're letting someone do extra transfers for free.

Had to make this clear to a guy who runs another league I'm in. He'd missed this before!

sounds like the right plan to me. Injuries are a big thing this season, so I’d stock up on cheap bench players like Garnacho and others with good fixtures around 37, Palmer, Gordon, etc. after gw 34 more than double Liverpool and maybe just one Arsenal (Saka) is necessary imo.

Any news on Saka?

in or out?
Sounds like he’s fatigued and his minutes will be managed. If you got him, keep imo (dgw coming up in 34). a cameo against Luton (19th worse defence) is not a bad match neither imo.

60 points and a tiny green. WC active and the bus team currently looks like this:

Petrovic (Onana)
White, Stones, Bradley (Burn, Van Hecke)
Salah(c), Saka, Foden, Palmer (Garnacho)
Haaland, Isak, Darwin

Darwin to Jackson next week, Bradley to Udogie GW33, Freehit in GW34 and 3 transfers to get the perfect 15 for 37 (Son, Maddo/Rich + a defender for White)

Happy with the plan, but I expect an injury or two which would mean hits.

I’m torn on who to bench out of Solanke, Muniz and Rice? Rice seems like the obvious pick but Arsenal have got Luton at home and he regularly chips in with goals or assists.

Surely, Muniz. I think there was also some injury doubt on him and Solanke has an easy fixture and Rice scored against Luton previously.

I'm just 15 points behind my FPL rival. Our attack and midfield are almost identical (just one difference) and we both have Haaland as our captain.

I wonder if I need to take a few risks here. What do you think about the following trades?

Haaland (current captain) -> Isak
Douglas Luiz (current bench option) -> Salah (new captain)
+ a few minor changes in defence

Ultimately I think it comes down to Haaland vs Salah.

I think Liverpool has a tough end to the season, so this might not work out for me. The Robot might also upgrade any day now :nervous:

Bring in Foden for Maddison or Darwin for Watkins?

Yeah, cheers. I was thinking along those lines but with the form Muniz has been in it didn’t feel right to leave him out but an away trip to Forest might be tricky for Fulham.

I went against my plan of bringing in Solanke and got Muniz instead as I'm trying to catch ground on my opponent so 100% bench Muniz.

Have I gone about this the wrong way around? I've activated my WC now with a plan to BB in 34 and FH in 37..

On a WC

Son, Gordon, Mateta vs Foden, Garnacho, Darwin

for long term?

Also go for Saka or go for Donkai or Martinelli?

Given that you can't cancel a WC, does it matter?
No, but I'm not sure if I have the time to look into what changes I'd need to make to make it worthwhile before the deadline. I'll likely just stick to my plan of BB34 and FH37 and hope it works for the best even if I might have missed a trick

I have Muniz, Solanke and Haaland. Really want Isak for Muniz but I cannot afford more dumb Newcastle injuries, so I'll see if he can stay fit and probably bring him in 35 or 36 latest for the doubles in place for Solanke.

I'd go with the 2nd options definitely.

Gordon is suspended for 1(?) match and Son soon has a run of Newcastle (A), no match, Arsenal (H) and Liverpool (A).

Darwin has a double week coming up soon too.

I can afford to bench Gordon for 1 week and play Mateta vs BOU. Newcastle has an easy run in.
I intend to use the FH in 34. So I don't need Drawin purely for the DGW.

Given Son's next few fixtures are pretty bad, maybe I can get in Foden or Bowen instead.

Would go for the second option. Son is blanking on the GW34, and Gordon is missing this week due to suspension.
Garnacho will defo have a double soon, and Darwin is 100% having a double shortly as well. The only concern reg Darwin is that hes with 8 YC and if he gets two more he will face a suspension if I am not mistaken.

Second option I would go for Saka, I know he is not fully fit but he can make damage with even 60min.

Final WC draft:

Petrovic (Onana)
Gabriel, Bradley, Burn (Udogie, Van Hecke)
Salah, Saka, Foden, Palmer (Garnacho)
Haaland, Isak, Darwin

2,0M ITB

Salah has 1 goals/0 assists in 5 games against SHU and 95% of all top managers cap Salah this week.
If I want to go differential cap this week. Who do I go for?

I'd go Isak or Palmer. Everton in really poor form at the moment and we gift chances to teams. I currently have Isak as mine out of those 2 (don't have either Salah or Haaland at the moment)

Haaland/Saka for the not so differential.
Isak for the differential
Palmer for the super differential.

-8 for me. Feels even more horrible that it's to get pool players in.
