Who we watching? I'm thinking Arsenal Bayern is the more interesting game.

City are not the best team in Europe, they have been bang average this season
What standards are we using the call this City team average?

KDB and Haaland being on the pitch is enough to win most CL games with KDB's moments of brilliance, not to mention they have Foden who's been in electric form. One point off the top and lost 3 games all season. That;s some "bang average" for sure, as for form they have scored 8 goals over their last 2 league games and 8 Goals over their last 2 FA CUP games and have not lost for 16 league games...

As for the CL they are scoring 3 goals a game on average with 70% possession and passing accuracy of 92%. and have won every single one of their games.

Can we get some of this average please? ;)

Nope. We’re outright atrocious. This is easily the worst season since more than a decade.
Do you think announcing Tuchel's future sacking in advance made things worse?

Glad walkers injured. Can see Vinicius having some joy against stones.

For a moment it looked like it actually improved things, but in the meantime that short uptick has passed again.
On the other hand it became very clear at the same time that Leverkusen won't slow down. The last two losses in the league were definitely a case of Bayern's players just giving up in the league. I'm quite curious if they approach the game tonight with a different mentality. After all, winning the CL is their only chance to salvage this season.

Madrid at Bernabeu on 9 days rest, with no Walker? Yeah, Guardiola's going for "survival" tonight. Not surprised honestly

Make no mistake - after Rodri, KDB would their best player. He must be injured/sick.

The two best fixtures and the four best teams are on at the same time. All because they wanted to separate the Spanish teams.

2 of the best teams in Europe on current form weren't in the competition this season. Bayer and Liverpool. So that's a big boast to them. Thank feck the scousers didn't make the CL this season because under Klopp they would be contenders.

Playing two CL matches in the same city on the same day doesn't work well. That's more important than teams from the same country playing at the same time.

I heard Madrid have been granted permission to close there stadium roof tonight against city… any reason why they’d want it closed? Surely that affects playing conditions.

Is Tchouameni playing centre back?
Yes, Nacho has been gifting goals left and right. Tchou, so far, has been solid filling that role.

Not expecting much, Pep usually does well against us and our squad isn’t complete. Low expectations.

I'm talking about Barca, not Atleti. UEFA could have had Real Madrid and Barcelona play on the same day instead but chose not to.

Can't avoid the result of the other game either as TNT shove it in your face when there's a goal.

Oh right. I completely forgot that Barca still is in the CL

But even then it makes sense. Barca and Real both get huge viewer numbers, much more than City or Arsenal.

A louder atmosphere or maybe they just want to show it closed in an important game.

The depth in quality Madrid have in the front 6 is unbelievable especially when the reinforcements arrive your back up players would be the main men at other big clubs. I have not seen the Madrid enough recently to give an informed opinion but the back 5 on paper looks underwhelming.

Makes sense I suppose. To be fair though you wouldn’t need to close the roof to hear your fans over there’s

All the Manchester United fans must root for Arsenal and Manchester City tonight.
There's still a small chance to finish 5th in the league and play in the UEFA Champions League next season

Wouldn't be suprised to see Bayern Munchen win today. We are talking about a big, big club that knows what Champions League is about. Lets hope Harry Kane silences Emirates.

In the other game, Anchelotti need to do us all a favor and win today.

There is no way on Earth we'll finish 5th and also no way on Earth I'll root for either of those teams.
