Jamie Redknapp showing why he is regarded by many as the biggest bellend on tv. He just said, and I quote, “I can’t believe that penalty wasn’t given, I get that the foul was outside of the box but it should have been a penalty”

When you put it like that it sinks in. 50m here, 80m there, 100m+ for top quality. It's Monopoly anyway.

Hundreds of millions of POUNDS on the pitch, producing nothing of any value.
It is when you look at what Isak cost and the threat he carries.

Pox lucky to get the draw , 7th place is far too high for a team that plays such dross week after week.

Yet another season limps to an end with most of us hoping it would just finish now.

I am pretty much done blaming players. They look lost and confused in a system that is way to chaotic to work consistently.

Point away at powerhouse Bournemouth.

Get. In.

We do pretty alright for a team lacking any sort of competent coaching, setup, or game plan. Just go and hoof it for a bit lads. Don't worry about shape or formation or any of that fancy nonsense.

Højlund had a shocker today. Whoever it was here saying he can’t hold the ball up was absolutely correct today. Feel like he’s been a lot better at holding up and playing in teammates, but today he was awful.
He's never been good at it his entirebtime here.

No surprises there.

Easy to break, many times too easy. I guess we are all used to this.

ETH continues to persist with 4 2 1 3, with this set of players. Any other team with better finishers would have put this to bed in first half. Attacking wise, we were okay in second half.

7th is a very good reflection of our season, team and unfortunately the footballing side of the club at current moment!

Amad is probably our most complete winger on the squad and he rarely gets to play. Says something about ETH. I think we would have a functional (not great) offense if we played Mount on the left and Amad on the right. Those two are competent wingers and can make plays and can play smart. It's sad but we might have the two dumbest wingers in Rashford and Garnacho. Garnacho is young so I can cut him some slack. For Rashford, though, it's amazing the number of poor decisions he makes each match.

I'll bet we never see them play on the wings together though because ETH is too stubborn.

I loved it when the announcer said "I would take Casemiro off all day long" after Mainoo was subbed. Everyone sees the problem with Casemiro except ETH.

This would be a great time to appoint an interim manager. The new manager bounce might carry us to FA victory. Carrick would be a good choice.

I’ve been arguing it for months.

I honestly think you could stick Keane in for Casemiro, or Giggs in for Rashford, or Irwin in for Dalot and they’d look absolutely awful.

No individual player/players is suddenly making this “click”, I feel for all of them, they look absolutely lost in a system that appears set up to allow the opposition as many simple shooting opportunities as possible.

Maybe he has no faith in VAR to get things right?

Carrick wouldn’t leave his job for a 6 week role at United man.

ETH will likely lose his job at the end of the season once CL is impossible and it becomes cheap to fire him.

The only team that matters
EtH always seems to sub the younger players when things are not going well. I kinda get it from the perspective that experienced players should handle ropey moments better, however, Mainoo and Garnacho should never have come off with Casemiro and Rashford remaining on. They don't play like experienced players. Mainoo in particular seems to play with more intelligence than the older heads
Garnacho was very poor today, he was partly responsible for their goals and he wasn't tracking back,Casemiro should have been off at half time along with him, Mainoo looks mentally exhausted

To be fair they are all in their 50’s. :wenger:

I had to resort to Wikipedia to fact check this awful joke and it turns out Irwin’s first name is actually Joe. Dennis is his middle name. Joe Irwin is a terrible name, and I’m heartbroken. My childhood was a lie. :annoyed:

Why take Garnacho out? I know he didn't play well in the first half but Rashford was way worse than him. Shitty subs. Also Casemiro should have come out for Mount

Casey shouldn’t have started.
Is a genuine liability at this point. Can’t defend , dives in constantly and misses everything, he is like a 50 year old trying to play with teenagers.
I reckon I am more mobile than him and I’m 48 with no cartilage in one knee……

Garnacho was getting murdered out there, he was having an off day, maybe he wasn’t feeling right. Mourinho would have subbed Casemiro before the half ended. I didn’t like him, but he was t afraid to drop players who weren’t performing. Rashford and Casemiro should have been out before half time.

Mid table quality players. Mid table manager.
I agree with the first part, not the second. Chelsea, Wes Ham and Brighton are mid table, Everton is in the second half of the table.

I wouldn’t hire him if I were the owner of any of these teams.

Another dire "effort" from a bunch of grifters. Can't get rid of them all in just one window but by the beginning of 2025/26 there should only be a few remaining from the current squad.

Whether they end up making it or not we're talking Mainoo, Garnacho, Diallo, Hojland and a couple more of their ilk and that's it.

The rest can clear off and I have no idea what the management or coaching staff are doing or what goes on in training.

SJR needs to put his stamp on that squad and start doing the right thing, Rangnick style!

To be schooled yet again by a so called inferior squad with a fraction of United's resources is totally unacceptable.

I’d keep Mount, Martinez, Onana, Mainoo, Hojlund, Garnacho and Diallo. Every single other player the club should be working to ship on.

Why can’t the hierarchy at the club see the mess ETH has made, playing a system which doesn’t fit the players. Persisting with Rashford who has got steadily worse, and if Mainoo had not been promoted into the EPL side, the midfield would get run over more consistently.

Failing to understand that sign8ng Hojlund as striker whose preference is similar to Haaland and needs service, and continually plays Rashford who has possibly the worst first touch of any player with over 200 games . Blaming Onana when he has more shots to face than any other keeper shows how far we have fallen.

Difficult to actually move on as many players as we should, but it’s impossible to rebuild a multi story building with mud bricks, and that how it looks at the moment.

After almost every match I find myself thinking "a few of their players were quite good and could easily improve our squad." Is that just because they look good playing against our dross? That has to be it, right?

Does that young LB look like a prime attacking Roberto Carlos every week? Or only when he's going up against Dalot? Is Solanke now a top striker? Or is it just because he was going up against a teenager in over his head?

Sick and tired of making every dross team in this league look like prime Barcelona.

That first half honestly we should have been 5-1 down. They were missing chances left, right and centre. We are super lucky to get away with a point there.

I mean what hierarchy? There's no one left. The CEO and director of football are both gone and their replacements are either at other clubs or on gardening leave. Not surprising that ETH has the run of the place at the moment. God knows how shocking our transfer planning will be for the coming summer.
