United are conceding a lot of penalties. The defending for Coventry's first goal was bad.

Due to family commitments I was unable to watch the match live today probably for the better as I've had no hair left now.

Just watched the highlights now, typical of that group of players to be 3-0 after 70 minutes and not close the game out against a championship club. Goals concede. 1st where was the marking? 2nd a wicked defection and the 3rd stupid penalty given away deep into injury time.

A repeat of last years FA Cup final will be a big shock if the margin of defeat is kept to one goal this year.

Summer? I'd bin him tonight after that pathetic display.
What if he announces that he's leaving at the end of the season? Think our players can play out of their skins for one game to give him a winning sendoff? Worked for Klopp in the league cup.

There are a lot cnuts on this forum pretending to be United fans it seems to me.Saying we didn't deserve it, wanting everyone sacked, hoping Coventry won in extra time, hoping Coventry won on pens.
All of these comments were made on the match day thread. What a bunch of wusses!
It's football. Teams come back from the dead sometimes, freak goals are scored, bad decisions are made etc etc.
But it's not over till its over.Never throw in the towel.
Name on the trophy.

Yeah I know what you mean.

This is the first time this season we've witnessed this type of game from these players

It's not like we've looked consistently out of control against every team we play against, from the mighty Manchester City right down to the lowly Newport County. I don't know why people are giving them such a hard time.

United are conceding a lot of penalties. The defending for Coventry's first goal was bad.
Wan Bissaka had his arm by his side when the ball hit him. There was another incident when the ball hit the Coventry player's arm in the penalty box, where his hand was shoulder high. That was more of a penalty than Bissaka's. The penalty was very soft and it's the way the decisions are going at the moment.

The only surprises today were that we were decent for 70 minutes and that, after giving away the three goals, we still won it.
It was just like the entire season has been - no consistency and frustrating.
People that want EtH to remain will blame injuries and those who want him out will hold this game up as an example.
If they were playing anybody else, I'd have been right behind Coventry.
As it is, I'm glad we're in the final.

No we did not deserve it, 3-0 up against a championship side who are 8th.

But we are there, it will be one of those unsolved mysteries of the universe if we win the fa cup against city, but you never know.

I did not celebrate the win, it was very low key.

Rashford please go ffs please.

Great game for the neutrals and we won. When it really mattered we held our nerve and they didn't.

We will be competitive at Wembley

Said it after the Brentford game that I'm sick of us making every thrash team look like prime Barcelona. It's been the theme this season.

Fecking 8th placed team in the championship is carving us open at will in that 2nd half. From here on, I wouldn't bet against a Sunday league team actually creating and scoring against us.

A man getting 2 yellow cards and staying on the pitch even though the ref is aware of it. Didn't think that was possible until today. Game's gone mad.

Who cares anyway, we're there. ETH got a chance to at least give us something now after this shambles of a season.
The first one doesn't count when it goes to a shootout, it's 'wiped' out - well that what they said it commentary and they called it meaningless

Why are we so bad in the last 20 minutes of a game. If it's not tactics, is it lack of conditioning? We must have set a record for most penalties after 90 minutes and goals conceded in extra time.
Mental strength, concede a goal and their heads drop and certain players panic

Physically we aren't great but a lot of it is mental. Lots of time on Sky and MOTD they have picked out players jogging or walking when they should be sprinting. The "can't be arsed" attitude is an epidemic. If you see Casemiro strolling as a senior role model in the team it starts there and everyone in the team sees it. In his role he should be bawling at players.
He's not strolling, that's his top speed these days

I left at 4-3 and didn’t bother turning round when I found out it had been disallowed. That was the culmination of watching this utter bilge all season.

We won but it’s likely going to mean feck all, let’s be honest.

I was amazed that Mainoo was taken off!
ETH is slated for overplaying young players, the game should be dead and buried at 3-0 with 20 to go, in hindsight it looks terrible but in the context of the match at that point it made sense, Rashford though, that's a different matter, he should been off at half time

Why do i feel that we reach the new depths of despair every week.

Other than Maguire, Bruno and Dalot, the rest should walk home.

Same mate but there’s no way Ratcliffe does it before the season ends just to bring someone in for a few games and in all honesty who’d want to come in as an interim at this club right now ?
I agree he won't mate. Just think he should. However a good manager would probably like a chance at an fa cup final. Its a free hit nobody really expects us to win it.

Hojlund grafted all game and scored a nice pen, and I thought Amad was decent too. Mainoo also looked good.

Wan Bissaka was shocking, Casemiro was good first half but fairly poor after that, and Maguire probably the opposite. Eriksen also poor, at least in the 2nd half, better in extra time.

Hire Ole again as the interim manager. He can win that FA cup. It will be Ole's first big test.

3-0 up, 20 minutes to go and we contrive to ship four goals, albeit one was chalked off. I can't remember, even in the grim days of the mid 1970s, any United team doing that. We were pulled all over the place and made to look like we were the team from the lower division, not Coventry. I can't fathom the subs at all and why we persisted in playing everything down the left when Rashford lost the ball in every blind alley he ran into. Garnacho on the right was wide open umpteen times but the ball always seemed to end up on the left. Instead of correcting this, ETH yanks Garnacho.

As for his "big United" comment, we reached the final in 1994, 95, and 1996, winning two, losing one. That's three on the bounce.

Amazing reading so many comments that matched the words I said at the final whistle.

don’t care about most of the players anymore or the manager. Sack them all and start with just a few. Utterly pathetic group of individuals. Only a few are good enough for us.

We have drawn / lost from winning positions 3-4 times this month, every single time he does the same thing, we go 1 or 2 up he takes garnacho off and possibly mainoo off, rashford is in shit form so we all lose all attacking threat / pace meaning the other team pushes up with no risk.

It’s bad enough against Chelsea and Liverpool it’s an absolute disgrace against a championship side.
