Weirdly this squad is arguably more suited to Jose than the one he was left with in his final season

There’s no manager who we know will be available who is stand out. Like when Guardiola or Klopp were available of course. Or when Everton managed to get Ancelotti which still blows my mind.Maybe we just don’t want another toxic manager… everyone that’s wanting Tuchel will be the same people moaning for him to be sacked when he’s causing arguments with players/owners.
For me an interim is pointless at this stage. Im just saying it shouldn't be Ole.What do we class as an interim coach? Can it just be anyone to come in for a short amount of time… someone like Mourinho/Conte? Can they be interims or is it someone who’s not a big name? It’s very rare interims come into teams where that team as a chance of winning a trophy so how do you know if someone’s capable of it? Normally interims come in to steady the ship until the end of the season and try and finish the season strongly.
Good job coaching is not punditry then.Scholes, based on his punditry, is shit at communicating his knowledge.
Fair enough mate. I don’t even know why we’re discussing interims anyway. Like you said it is pointless and the owners have had plenty of chances to sack him but still haven’t so anything that gets done will be done at the end of the season i’d imagine. For me an interim is pointless at this stage. There are some posts suggesting to get Ole back for the last handful of games. I just didn't get it. Under his watch the discipline nosedived, tactics fell away all the same and we choked every cup we were in.Fair enough mate. I don’t even know why we’re discussing interims anyway. Imagine. Him and pep in an FA cup final showdown. If anyone can work miracles with this squad it’s Fergie. I remember him beating Milan in the CL with like 7 defenders playing.Give it Fergie till the end of the season.
He wouldn't even have to draw up tactics for the final, would just pick the team and stand on the touchline and we'd play out of our skin somehow.Imagine. Him and pep in an FA cup final showdown. Ye I was purely thinking for his h2h against Guardiola and his counter attacking ability always got the result against him. And his ability to make players happy with his loving nature and man management… I never remembered Oles teams getting dominated and conceding 20+ shots every match. I remember us actually having lots of possession under him but they were the games where we didn’t really win or couldn’t break down low blocks. There are some posts suggesting to get Ole back for the last handful of games. Ye and that will show everyone how spineless our players are. They can win and play for a manager that retired like 11 years ago but not for anyone els.He wouldn't even have to draw up tactics for the final, would just pick the team and stand on the touchline and we'd play out of our skin somehow.
no Fellaini no party.Weirdly this squad is arguably more suited to Jose than the one he was left with in his final season
Because ten hag has never come close to beating pep without an offside goal. There are some posts suggesting to get Ole back for the last handful of games. I just didn't get it. Under his watch the discipline nosedived, tactics fell away all the same and we choked every cup we were in.
I mean I think it's strictly off the back of him frustrating pep sides considering we are talking about only a handful of games. There are some posts suggesting to get Ole back for the last handful of games. I see what you did there. You couldn’t just sack him tonight and bring in a new manager at such short notice. The players would have no shape or cohesion, it’d look like the attackers would have no idea what to do and the new guy would have no idea about who to bring on or when.

He had a far healthier squad. And even in the games he best Pep we relied on some luck (as we always do). He wasn't anything special, just like Ten Hag isn't special vs Liverpool despite having 2 wins and 1 draw vs them at OT.I mean I think it's strictly off the back of him frustrating pep sides considering we are talking about only a handful of games.
Mctominay as Sideshow Bob 2.0no Fellaini no party.

Funny that you think Fergie would even be in that situation to begin withCan you imagine Fergie in charge of this current bunch, he threw a boot a Becks, just imagine what he'll be throwing at this lot when losing 7-0 against Liverpool or throwing away a 3-0 lead against a team a league lower than you in the FA Cup SF.
PleaseOle at the wheel
Interesting phrase to mock someone who became immortalized by the phrase "And Ole has won it" in 1999.Ole is such a terrible suggestion. This is a guy who made no subs until the 100th minute in the Europa final. He is a coward, he is not going to win us a cup final.
Ole+KeaneOle + Keano
Good cop bad cop
Nah, not seeing it.Weirdly this squad is arguably more suited to Jose than the one he was left with in his final season
Coward? He tactically set us up to win multiple games at the Etihad. Compare that to any other manager post-Fergie who would go to the Etihad looking for a draw and would be happy with a 1-0 loss.Ole is such a terrible suggestion. I hated Van Gaal against bottom sides, but he'd set us up pretty well in big games.Coward? He tactically set us up to win multiple games at the Etihad. Compare that to any other manager post-Fergie who would go to the Etihad looking for a draw and would be happy with a 1-0 loss.
True, although both of those games were during that random 1 month spell under Van Gaal where we actually played exciting football for once.I hated Van Gaal against bottom sides, but he'd set us up pretty well in big games.
That 4-2 vs City and the Juanfield result were two games where we dominated tough sides, can't recall many times we've had that.
In the event that we are changing manager then I think it's entirely plausible that the higher ups still hold the players to account and don't let them down tools. Or if they do, I expect that it will be noted and raised as an issue between themselves or the next manager. I do think there's every chance that they tell the next manager not to rely on 'x player' as they will be sold, if their performance and attitude is clearly as bad as you are claiming it would be. I just can't see it being tolerated at all anymore. If Ten Hag is the manager then he'll still have a huge say in their future, as would any other manager. The guys above the manager aren't going to get rid of a key player that the manager depends on.
You can't fight human nature, we've seen it time and again that when a manager announces they're leaving player levels dip, even slightly, and it costs them. Liverpool this season are a great example.
Surely if he's doing anything he's part of the problem. It would obviously be McClaren
feck no. That fat freak should come nowhere near this club. He's an idiot.Would love to see Big Sam have a crack at it.
