Basically agree with you. Antony has potential as a squad player and is younger, so may improve. Wouldn’t miss him in the unlikely event we could find a buyer, mind you.

Also. Props for the thread title.
Antony is actually 1 month older than Sancho and has the lowest potential between the three of them in my opinion.

Should we sell these guys for 50-100M combined (huge loss) and invest 200-250M in new prospects (with no guarantees)?
…or should we give them one last chance with a new management?

I’m in camp two. We also need improvents more in the defense/dm

Sell all three, get 2 starters and have Amad and Garnacho as subs. In reality they'll all be here next season.

Sancho - Likely back to BVB for a loss
Antony - Can only see a loan and maybe a sub 10m deal a year after if he continues his torrid form

Rashford - No chance anyone comes near him. Terrible form, Seems to have lost some pace, massive wages. The PSG links are not credible and I dont see Luis Enrique going for Rashford when hes clearly a fan of Nico Williams who is spanish, younger and has had a much better season

What do we do with these three balls of gas ?

I think Rashford and Sancho have to be sold this summer. Their situations are too toxic and they are not worth the wages or the headache to the new manager.

I think we keep Antony. He can follow instructions and works hard. Wingers are notoriously streaky so maybe he has a good period and we sell him when his value is higher.

If we play a game Keep, Sell, Bench what's the caf going with?
Can’t believe we are at the point where people are fine with keeping attackers because they “follow instructions and work hard”.

Antony is the worst of the three. You say "he can follow instructions and works hard", then perhaps he will be a success in Stoke City. Maybe.

Why would anyone want to keep Antony? Mind boggles. I doubt anyone will pay decent money for any of them but Sancho will be back under a new manager. Rashford they will hope can turn it around under a new manager but Antony just can rot if he can’t find a club to buy him. Biggest flop in British transfer history and fecking annoying to boot.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Sancho's performances at Dortmund have been hyped up again - he's been steady, and had one great CL game, but quiet overall with meh numbers. Definitely not worth either the wages or the discipline-based headache, ETH or otherwise. If we get Tuchel, maybe he can try and retrieve some value from this transfer, but I would not complain at all if we sold him. Quality with no desire or effort.

Antony is just a limited footballer. Lots of effort, shows desire, but no quality at all. Definitely sell, to whoever will buy without us subsidizing his wages. He simply cannot be given any more minutes at this club if we want to win games.

Rashford is the tricky one. There are patches when we've seen quality, desire, and effort from him, he's single handedly won us big games playing on the counter. On the other hand, he's just had the worst season of his life where he just didn't look like he was interested in this profession at all. He was the one that needed a break from the game to sort out his mentals, not Sancho. If he doesn't improve, we'd rather wish he was sold when the stock was high. But I have always had a soft spot, so would be open to the new manager (or EtH again, if he's not sacked) try to work with Rashford and get him to start enjoying his football again.

Sack Sancho. Sell Antony. Last chance saloon for Rashford.

Rashford: keep. He's at the least a very good backup.

Sancho and Antony, spread out the 11 dimensions of a proton into 2 dimensions, stuff them in, code it so they can never return to Manchester, wrap it again, and shoot one in the direction of Dortmund and the other in the direction of Amsterdam at near light speed.

I never rated Sancho but i really want to see him play as a False 9.

I still think he hasnt found his 'position' yet the same way Havertz has found his position at Arsenal moving from Chelsea.

It's why i either hope Ten Hag & Sancho become friends again because Ten Hag has started to play more False 9 games or we go for a manager like Motta who uses Zirkzee in the same way someone like Sancho would play for us.

This is because the False 9 is what we need to get the best use of Garnacho, Amad, Rashford and even possibly Greenwood.

Its why Arsenal are so good because Havertz in the middle gets the best out of Trossard, Martinelli and Saka more than Gabriel Jesus.

For this reason alone - i want to see both Sancho & Rashford staying and even maybe Greenwood if he goes through some counselling & public apologies (which is what abusers have to do post according to wiki).

I think even Antony would be better playing alongside a false 9 but looks way too limited as a player to really outclass the players we have.

Our Front Squad Next Season -

Amad/Garnacho/Sancho/ maybe Gwood- RW

CF - Hojlund, Sancho (false 9), Rashford, maybe gwood

LW - Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho.

Sell: Antony but wouldn't mind keeping him if its impossible to sell.

If ETH is getting sacked then it will probably be keep Rashford and Sancho/ sell Antony.

If ETH stays then swap Antony and Sancho.

Another reason to move on from ETH perhaps depending on how people rate those players. Most have Sancho above Antony from.what I've seen.

Another season where they're bad and none of them will be sellable. If it was up to me, I would sell all 3, and use the money to get another 2 wingers in to pair with our attackers of Garnacho, Amad, and Mount. That would pretty much be the same number of attacking squad players we've had available all season. This is assuming we have Bruno, Hojlund, a back up striker signing, and Wheatley (few minutes here and there).

I don't think Rashford needs to be sold but yep. My hope is Rashford / Garnacho LW and Olise / Amad RW. Somehow get rid of Antony and Sancho in FFP favorable terms. Their current book value is 30m (Sancho) and 42m (Antony).

We'll probably not find a sucker who'll pay 42m + 200k p/w for Antony so we'll be stuck subsidizing the transfer (say if we pay him 100k p/w = 5.2M*3 = 15.6M to leave in the worst case). As long as we make 15M+ pure FFP profit (still possible with Casemiro, Greenwood sales) if we make more than 30m for Sancho we should be good.

On the whole we'll get off Varane (340k p/w), Sancho (200k p/w), Casemiro (350k p/w), Martial (250k p/w) off the wages. That's 1.15M p/w off the wages. Almost enables an Mbappe should he want to come here abd should open up quite a few things this summer. Surprised we haven't heard any big money rumors so far.

HELLO
Sancho - sell

Antony - sell but will be nearly impossible, might as well be keep for the money we’ll get

Rashford - fee dependent, sell if the fee is good enough that we can immediately sign a top talent. Might as well keep otherwise.

I'm thinking the same as you, @Desert Eagle . Antony has been painful at times but maybe, just maybe he'll become more consistent if the club itself is less volatile.

Regarding the other two, it looks like there is a core of good young players in there who all seem to get on well with each other and are showing great promise.

I think Rashford and Sancho are outside that group looking in and I don't want their toxic behaviour contaminating the young players.

It's also notable that the players who have had attitude problems are the ones with enormous contracts while the likes of Hojlund or Garnacho are uncorrupted by unwarranted pay.

I would sell all 3 but Sancho to Dortmund/saudi aside I’m not sure there will be any other suitors. Antony doesn’t offer much to our attack and needs to be improved on. Sancho, I can’t stand habitual lateness. Anyone who is habitually late is toxic to the work environment. He has to go for that alone. Rashford I’m also done. He can cry after every game we win and go all day about what the club means to him but we are not blind to what he does on the pitch. Nothing wrong with being out of form but not running and fighting for the ball? Shows how much the club means to him that he can’t bring himself to put in effort for the ball. And this nonsense about him needing to be happy to perform. He’s a fecking 26yr old top level professional paid more weekly than what most people earn in a year. He should be performing to the club’s terms not to his terms.

Other 2 we can sell or keep it. Call me crazy but I still think that Sancho is baller just badly treated by EtH.

Unless PSG come for Rashford, he's not going anywhere. So this should be a given. Hopefully next season he performs better.

Sancho should be gone for all parties' sake. He's definitely not needed here, nor does he wants to be here.

Antony is not going anywhere. He has underperformed on a massive scale. Nobody will be interested. A loan could probably turn things around, but I'm not pinning my hopes on this.

Sell, or more realistically, loan them all out with obligations to buy.

'What?! Lose three wing players all in one window?' ... Yes. Why not? They've contributed nothing last season and all caused problems.

We can try make cases for all to stay based on a previous prolific season or playing well for a period elsewhere. However, all three players have had really poor seasons further back than the season just gone!

All have contracts far too high for what that have given back in performances and their wages do not fit in with the INEOS model. They're certainly too high to be bench warmers in hope they'll turn their careers around here.

If we have to take a hit and loan these players out next season, then so be it. We can get the majority of the wages off our wage bill, receive a small fee at least and commit clubs to buying them for sums that can give us a decent transfer budget for the 25/26 season.

Rashford will always be the most difficult to move with his new contract. PSG are unlikely to make a move after another woeful season. However, they may just be interested in a season-long loan with perhaps an optional future transfer fee. We should treat it as an audition for him. He should at the very least rediscover some form away from United. If it's not good enough for PSG, then at least it could generate some interest from other clubs to make a bid. Seriously, we have nothing to lose with moving Rashford on loan for a season.

A loan with no obiligation to buy is insane for a player of Rashford's on the books value, all three is economically suicidal.

Dortmund have paid a fee for Sancho but we still paid him ~£5m this year to not play for the club, so that 5m loan fee is basically a wash.

IF we loaned all three out, we need to buy 2 replacements at minium right now, so we've front loaded more costs, if you wanted to buy a Winger with Rashford stats right now, good luck finding one for 50m. What if for whatever reason the loaning club decides against picking up their option to buy. You now have 3 players on >200k a week you actively don't want with years on their contract, you are now over a barrel for any future loans.

Sancho is 100% sell this summer.

Anthony is still a masive loss to sell right now/ who would want him?

Rashford, you'd need an offer of >80m to make it remotely worth it.

Most unpopular opinion you've read all day:
I say sell Rashford and Antony, both are not good enough.

Keep Sancho under a new manager. He has been impressive at Dortmund and someone like Tuchel or Frank might get him to work out here.

If that is Sancho's level of "impressive", he definitely should be sold. How many impressive games has he actually had at Dortmund? 1? 2?

So you would continue players who are no good, allowing their value to continue to fall and potentially block playing time of youth?

You could find a winger in the Championship who could come in and post better returns than all three of them in the past season.

Loaning them out with a view to a permanent sale is an alternative strategy than we're used to and preventing us being lumbered with assets that aren't worth it. We need to be proactive in getting wasters out of this club. We need to put an end to those who are happy to coast closer to retirement on their mega salaries and offering nothing on the pitch.

I reckon you could find a winger that gets you a goal every 5/6 games and an assist every 8/9 games for less than £10m to be honest.

For £12m you might even get one who runs about a bit as well.

Maybe 10 years ago but he’s making more than most average people make in 4/5/6 years in a week. It’s absurd given the drama and lack of consistent return

Yes, these personnel issues are really highlighted when compared to the reports about how Garnacho, Mainoo and Hojlund are rewarded.

None of them have had their ambition poisoned by contracts that put them among the most highly paid in the world.

When you look at Sancho and Rashford it's pretty shocking and I don't feel comfortable about it, I think contracts need to be fair as possible and reward success.

Antony, I really don't think we can do much right now so he's probably going to be a sub.

I hope we learn for the future that these ridiculous contracts are counter-productive and become performance focused.

The trio of turds.

Hope we sell the lot of them.

Amad Gernacho, Hojlund make up a promising young attack for the future.

We'd sell all three in an ideal world.

Since we don't live in one, I expect we'll keep Rashford and Antony and sell Sancho at a huge loss.
