So far it’s a car crash. Shocking start. Dithering INEOS. Worse than Glazers at this rate.

No transfer window, still appointing backroom staff.

Do you expect Jim to come in and put in 30 goals a season himself? I know he ran a marathon but give the guy a break.

Yep massive questions to be asked and concerns already. They don't have the balls to do what needs to be done and are hiding behind the structure as an excuse.

It’s a mistake early doors, but quite a significant one. They should have acted and it was very poor to leave him in charge and let things get this bad. Poor start.

INEOS are making exactly the right moves by getting in the best in class backroom staff. That's the foundation of a successful club. You have to start at the top. Once the heirachy has been established, the rest of the pieces will fall into place.

Time to see what these are about… if ETH is still in charge for the Arsenal game then we’ll have our answer.

They are sorting out the mess in the IT department! Give it time.
Rumour has it they still have Windows XP and dial-up (28kbs) internet. They're scouting players and waiting 2 minutes to see the player image appear on the screen line by line.

Scouting is worse, their 'multimedia ready' computers with their sound blaster cards barely play a video in 640 x 480, with their CRT monitors are on the way out. We're scouting players from 2004 still, that have since retired. The Glazers skimped and didn't update the player databases.

We won't know anything until the summer. We need drastic action and ruthlessness in selling the deadwood.

What is this? They have just got their first hiree in the building, what the hell do people expect? What they want to do is to get competent people into the organization to make sure good decisions are being made, so the owners don't do it. Nothing they are doing was supposed to have any impact on this season. Results now might force them to make a decision, but I understand why they have wanted to wait as long as possible to do it. The people who are supposed to do this aren't all here yet.

Arrived to the club in February, made some changes by sacking all the shit that was in charge of the football operations and some fans think they're the problem. This fanbase.

I don't think you need a 10 man staff of football's brightest minds to realize that the manager should be sacked though, which I think is people's point.

No, they might be forced to now but bringing in a new manager now before everything has been set up and decided on is not ideal and is why they have been hesitant. Football fans are not the most patient lot, I get that, but come on. This isn't about INEOS, they are just easy to blame.

I'm not speaking about hiring the new manager, I'm talking about sacking the current one. Obviously I don't want them just spunking on a new hire right now but again there's 0 reason to dither on sacking the current manager.

They're going to be fecked over by FFP once the window opens. We have very little sellable assets in the squad, insane wages to cover, no European football and every man and his dog knows they can charge top dollar when we come knocking. And now add another caveat - why would top talent choose us now?

Not sacking EtH a few months ago was a criminal decision but long term means nothing if they do the right decisions from the summer.

If they keep the mad man as the manager for next season, they are as insane as him. At that point, nuke this fecking club and just be done with it.

How is it even possible to start blaming them for on-field results before they have even had a single transfer window, and their key staff appointments have either been in the role for 5 minutes or are not even through the door yet?

I'm assuming OP is either a massive Qatar stan or just on a general wind up? Nobody could actually be that daft.

But over the top, but not sacking ETH is absolutely a really bad start to their tenure in charge in my opinion.

I’d love to see something fairly drastic in terms of getting rid of players this summer. We don’t actually need a super deep squad if we miss out on Europe, so use that opportunity to clear out the dross. Can’t see why we can’t let go of 7-8 players.

For more than a decade, we complained about an investment banker running a football club. Then he was sacked and passed the baton to his mates Arnold who is also a money man. Then, he appointed his mate Murtough to be DOF with no track records. The damage was catastrophic and from top to bottom we don't have the right people at all the key positions in the club.

This mess will takes a while to clear even with Ineos trying to get the best in class in all positions. Hope Ineos team will do much better than they do with Nice.

It is especially given INEOS is fundamentally a business orientated venture they should have set a perceivable standard reflecting the values of their own company in football. It's not the significance of the league position that should determine Erik's dismissal but that he has allowed the bottom to reach beneath himself. In any other field or profession that is grounds for dismissal from a KPI metric alone.

Unlike people on caf, INEOS clearly believe that their energies and resources are better spent on getting the right people to run the club. The manager can be sacked at any time. The players can be bought if the structure works.
But the club needs a structure and that takes priority.

Even getting the right manager in will be a task that needs some expertise and the past people at the club have clearly shown they have no feckin clue.

Having said all that, ETH is probably getting sacked soon. Even if he is not till the summer, it is not gonna make the season any better.
