All 11 Arsenal players in the starting lineup are better than ours. Seen in that light, we played a good half and didn't deserve to be behind. But Casemiro is too weak a point for us, and he has cost a lot of goals and points as a central defender. I don't understand how ETH can keep choosing Casemiro as central defender when he costs time and time again in that position. McT has shown for Scotland that he is good in that position so why not play him there?

I’m just saying, if we grant that he would still get shat on if it were lobbed over them to a free man on the back.
And if anybody would shit on him then they're an idiot and don't know football. You can't criticise someone, who covers the immediate threat and blame him for a second player.

It seems to me you're trying to excuse AWB's involvement in the goal. He didn't cover his guy, the most direct threat and the one in his closest vicinity. It's not rocket science.

    Thanks.

Yeah the people saying he should be a starter are really obviously right. Doesn’t make sense to me. He’s shown by playing Mainoo for virtually every available minute that he’s prepared to put youngsters in, feels like there must be something going on behind the scenes we don’t know about.
I dont think he has a choice about Mainoo as we dont really have anyone else to play there.

One lapse in concentration has put us a goal down but other than that, nothing in it. Actually, I think we've done quite well, all things considered.

    Amad has been amazing!
If we let this kid go before giving him a proper chance, heads should roll and not just the managers, he’s easily the best player on both teams with the ball at his feet and that’s saying something considering who Arsenal have!

Zero doubt in my mind that they would have gotten that pen.

Amad looks lovely with the ball at his feet.

If any United fans are thinking "how the hell are these at the top?" the answer is not, generally, by playing like that. We have been pathetic, we look like we need permission to beat you. Ffs.

Build the team around Amad, Garnacho, Mainoo and to a lesser extent Hojlund next season.

Arsenal haven't had to get out of 1st gear, we've gifted them a goal. We also have no creativity through the middle, so if they keep compact when we have it in midfield, we're only going to shift it out wide.

We've done OK considering we're playing against a much better side.

I'm convinced we'd have done better this season if we'd played Amrabat at DM instead of Casemiro

I can’t find it but the tweet @Berbaclass shared about Arsenal practicing cut back goals - and then scoring one - annoys me.

I can’t see evidence of the basics of coaching. I’m not an idiot, I know ten Hag is a good coach, but clearly something is wrong

Many of us have been saying Amad should play since he came back from injury. We saw early he was better than Antony.

ETH should be fired for buying Antony, for playing him so much, not benching Rashford long ago, only buying a young striker, and not buying a backup DM. These were big mistakes that have resulted in a terrible season for us.

Arsenal look shit scared of a mistake and are playing very within themselves, this is a great chance for us imo. We haven’t enjoyed so much time and space on the ball in a long while.

he's said very little wrong that I've heard... of course ETH is a mess but he rally can't be blamed for that goal
Maybe I am being a bit sensitive, but pre goal it felt like he was just reiterating stuff from the interview. Gone now anyway.

Arsenal are being pragmatic as expected. They got their free goal, they'll get a chance at another. Just don't need to take any chances and don't feck up like we did and they'll have no worries. McTominay and Højlund can't play quick football or turn with the ball quick enough. We aren't a team that's dangerous in the air and Arsenal are good at defending that way. As long as their wingers help dealing with Garnacho and Amad they'll be fine.

Performance has not changed my prediction
3-0 with another goal coming from a mistake and a third in 90+ when we're going for broke and tired.

Fair enough. My recollection was he didn't want to go though. Was he happy to go or did we just dismiss it out of hand as it wasn't enough money?
As i recall we never reached that moment. We just casually refused 30 mil for him.

Terrible goal to concede in what otherwise has been about as good a half as we could genuinely hope for.

We just don't look like scoring in a million years.
It's going to need a very fortuitous fall of a ball and a tap in for us to score.

Amad has been good, Amrabat as well, Mainoo tidy but not involved enough, Hojlund and McT very poor.

ETH is such a poor manager, does he really think he can beat Arsenal with this line-up? I got a dreamy manager.
I imagine he thinks he'd have a better chance with the likes of Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Mount, Fernandes, Rashford... And players playing in their natural positions. But when all you've got fit is mostly your squad players and kids from the reserves, then you end up with a selection like this.

Our team played fine this half. It's weird you point to this half in making that comment. The goal came against the run of play and from Casemiro not being bothered to play an offside trap.
