If Campbell was still available on a free this summer, would you rather sign him and spend money on another Striker or keep the faith with Rio, despite all but ending chances of signing a multi-million pound attacker ?

so this yr he'd change his mind and leave london for manchester? b/c i thought that was the reason given for him not coming in the first place. question back to you - who would you rather have in your side rio or sol?

Rio. I was under the impression Fergie passed on Campbell, not the other way round anyway. For the sake of debate, let's assume Sol would have jumped at the chance to come over. ;)

I think there's too many "if's & but's". If Cantona hadn't retired, would he still be great? ;)

Let Rio settle in before we start discussing whether or not he was worth it.

I was just wondering, considering some on this site have already said 30m is too much and he is not worth it.

out of RIO i meant <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

sol's wages are nearly 30k more a week.

but age is on rio's side and so is progression, sol learnt from adams, but rio's mentor will be blanc (the master).

The money is irrelevant. We have the money so we spend it on whoever we feel the best player is at that time.

Rio is a footballer as well suits United's style.

100k a week for a defender who cant pass is a joke. Wenger is ruining football.

Why do you think he took so long to decide his move to Arsenal? He wanted to come to Man Utd but we said no as soon as we heard his demands. I'd heard something like £50,000+ which at the time would've been like double Beckham's wages.

He is a decent defender but he isnt in the same class as Hyppia, Stam etc etc.

No player is worth £30million. However he does suit our style, classy on the ball, but prone to defensive mistakes.

I am certainly not happy if we carry on our "style" of "prone to defensive mistakes" ;)
