That's what the 28 players on show yesterday cost.

Those 28 players between them managed to carve out about 3 half chances in 90+ mins of football...

Well maybe they cancelled out each other, maybe that's how it works...

That's one logical explanation, and obvious if one had not watched the game.

Two teams who did not have the balls to go for the win is another one, and one that is obvious if one had watched the game.

Apparently money = goals?

Again no, but money spent should = quality

Quality should = better performances

I love watching good, defensive performances. Taht was not the case yesterday. Neither team needed to put up good defensive performances.

I think I've seen every single derby match the last 15-20 years.

I mean, football in general, this kind of match happens all the time, in derbys, in cup finals, even one world cup final was like this. 0-0 happens, no matter how much money is invested in the teams, it's not something of "modern football" it's something of football in general, get over it.

Our FA Cup Final in 2007 comes to mind in terms of performance.

quality as in quality defending?

you dont think man city in particular's tactics played a role????

City are a counter attacking team. Yet they don't have any pace, strength, height or width to counter with...

They play 3 defensive midfielders, 3 centrebacks and a defensive utility player, that's 7 defensive players out of 10...

They play a 5'4'' striker on his own upfront, this striker is allergic to getting into the penalty area (Berbsloth is the similar, but taller)...

Also, it's a fallacy to say £350m worth of talent, as City overpaid massively for most of their players. Milner cost £26m but is probably a £12-15m player...

Taht's why I did not call it £350m worth of talent.

The most talented player on show yesterday did cost feck all.

I don't think the defending was particularly great yesterday, as neither team did ask any real questions of the opposition's defense.

Can't blame it all on City's tactics. United were not much more adventurous.
